It's a little gem tucked away on Agnesgatan, and the fresh food and sunny courtyard are all you need for a relaxing lunch. You can choose from a 135 SEK brunch platter (available from 11.00-14.00), the 79 SEK daily soup, or 89 SEK daily meal (a heaping bowl of vegan curry when I visited). Both include bread, coffee/tea, water, and a selection of side salads. Make sure to save room for the countless vegan & vegetarian desserts that include cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and chocolate coconut balls. They also have a selection of organic sodas and juices. The feel is casual, like you're in someone's kitchen at home. Serve yourself from the tables set up inside, and be sure to take your meal outside if it's nice out. The courtyard is decorated in a funky yet tranquil way, and the staff are friendly. As it becomes popular during lunch hour, there may be a line and the small serving area can become crowded.

But when you are in Sweden, sometimes you could unexpectedly went to a vegan cafe and that's what Richard S and I did last time. I didn't see the word "vegan" until last minute and that when I was already desperate for some coffee and cake because I hadn't had proper breakfast and lunch at our Malmö office. Gimme a cake, I said (well, not exactly that), and I got chocolate brownies with mocha and a cortado, while he got some peanut butter pie with lingonberries on top (so Swedish) and vanilla sauce with black coffee. My brownie felt massive without egg. It felt like a block of brick to me, but I ain't complaining since I was hungry and the brick consistence was actually very filling. Again, it wasn't bad and it was very chocolate-y, just not in the moisty sense that a brownie should be. The peanut butter pie was VERY SWEET and I am far from having sweet tooth, so you're warned now. I guess the lingonberries on top would give it nice sour twist for the pie along with vanilla sauce that even the cafe attendant warned that it didn't go well along with the pie (so, why did you serve it then?) Sorry, the two stars is for the fact that they're not serious about their own food. I didn't try their "thai stew with tofu and pakchoy - which I am pretty sure it could be super delicious since I'm fan of those two - but you don't serve a pie with a sauce that you yourself think that they don't match together, do you? I had no complaints about my brownies but still the carnivores in me would rather go to another cafe with milk and egg option. Service is ok, you could get refill for your black coffee and the place is decorated nicely that almost look like your grandmother's living room. Quite cozy, I suppose - but unless you're a vegan, I would say try go somewhere else

Shukran Laziza. We arrived in Malmo on a Sunday afternoon. After checking into our hotel we…read morerealized we were quite hungry, but unfortunately a lot of food establishments we looked up were showing up closed until we saw Laziza was near our hotel and showing up as open. I personally am not a fan of buffets but my husband is Lebanese-Armenian & doesn't mind buffets & always wants Lebanese food when it's an option. I was a little apprehensive when we walked in because the hostess & waitresses were Swedish, but then I heard Arabic music & noticed the staff coming in/out of the kitchen to stock the food was speaking Arabic so I knew the food would be ok. My favorite items were the wrapped grape leaves & mini desserts. My grandmother & aunts used to make a lot of the same desserts so the flavors were very nostalgic & comforting. I can also appreciate how they had managed to make tiny delicate bite sized portions of each. I was impressed by that because these desserts are so intricate & difficult to make so making them into tinier pieces can't be easy. We had a lovely meal at Laziza and enjoyed our visit.

I often dine at Laziza Baltzarsgatan and Dockan because they have great food. Today (20th May 2022)…read moreat Dockan, I brought 2 guests with me from abroad and we came in at 11:08 Table 25. One of the guests was finishing food at 12:10 when we were approached by the waitress telling that the restaurant has 1 hr dine-in policy. Then the same waitress came back after 2 minutes telling me that "I have guests waiting outside." I was never aware of this policy and if this is a new one, no one told us at the cashier (By the way, the lady at the cashier was more accommodating). I was embarrassed that we were the only table and customers treated that way. This is frustrating that the waitress at Dockan branch was mainly targetting us and I was embarassed by this attitude with other customers looking at us. Also, we found that seats outside were available. I hope that the restaurant can look into this and train the staff to communicate properly with guests. Your food is no doubt highly recommended and other staff were warm and polite. However, this waitress telling us customers (who were obviously chewing last spoonful of food and the other having coffee) to leave the place twice in a span of 2 minutes was very rude. We left the place around 12:15.

As we…read morewere entering the restaurant, a patron who was departing suggested we try the scallops - which is also one of their popular dishes. My husband got the scallops and I got the fish. I loved the cod preparation here- the sides and sauce it came with tied very well with the cod. The scallops were such a delight - they were coated with crispy vermicelli which was such a surprise. Very fresh scallops and such huge ones. We really enjoyed our meal here. I think our lunch here was long and the service here was very good as well. Recommend

What a stellar Michelin-approved restaurant in Malmö! Everything was presented so nicely - it truly felt like a high-scale, fine dining restaurant. I love cheese, so naturally, I loved the fried camembert. It had a crispy exterior and was melted and gooey on the inside, so good. The baked cod and duck were both cooked well and had great flavours. But our favourite dish was actually the white asparagus. It was presented with a brown butter emulsion that made it taste soooo different from any other way I've had asparagus. It was surprising to me that I liked a vegetable dish as much as I liked this one! I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants amazing, inventive, Michelin-level dishes without breaking the bank.
