What was said to be the best steakhouse in Laughlin turned out to be a total waste of time and money... service was horribly slow, and the restaurant was far from being busy. Staff had poor communication with one and other as we had to reorder several items... my steak was over cooked and others were very undercooked. Overall took about 3 hours in and out‍. So we checked in late to the hotel/casino we were able to get a last min reservation. We made reservations and were assigned to a table across from the entrance table where any patron who entered was shown the dinner available and discussion about the meal was repeated. I asked if we could move to a table and was told "no" that the table was "reserved". Ten minutes after arriving, another couple came, and shared the same concern as we. They were offered the table we had requested. They didn't reserve that table but were given-it at their request. Each waiter has a busser so there should be no real reason service is slow. Personally the busser does far more than the waiters do. My steak was bland, my dirty martini was 75% olive juice. the best part of the meal was the house salad that came with the meal. My husband had the lamb chops - they lacked flavor. We celebrated my sister-in-laws anniversary dinner at The Range in Harrah's Laughlin. We started with a variety of bread with butter on a plate that was 1/2 Chive Garlic Butter (delicious) and 1/2 regular butter, each shaped as a rose. For appetizers we had Shrimp Cocktail topped with Sliced Avocado and served with Gazpacho Cocktail Sauce, Stuffed Portobellini Mushrooms with Ground Veal, Parmesan Cheese and Fresh Herbs topped with Boursin Cream Sauce, Breaded Artichokes which were tempura fried and served with a Blood Orange Vinaigrette, Tomato Caprese. We had salads and soups: Three Onion Soup, which was tasty and served inside half of a large, scooped out onion resting on a bed of warm salt crystals, Caesar Salad and the Range Salad. All were amazing. We had a variety of Pasta, Chef Specialties, Seafood and the Range Prime Rib: Pasta Veal Scaloppini Piccata with Angel Hair Pasta, Grilled Chicken Fettuccine, Artichoke Chicken, Lamb Chops, 2 lb. of Alaskan King Crab Legs served with a Lemon Butter Fondue. There was very little talking going around once our dinners were served. The presentation of each plate was beautiful and served on unique plates, bowls and the like. And yes we still had room for dessert. We shared the Ultimate Decision which was a Vanilla Bean Ice Cream in a Florentine Basket with Bananas Foster, one of the best I've ever had and the Molten Lava Cake which satisfied the Chocolate lovers at our table. This was topped by the chocolate-covered walnuts. Service was excellent and impeccable throughout the meal. One always hopes for and is rarely surprised by an amazing meal and of all places, Laughlin, NV. If you are looking for a place to celebrate or pamper yourself you will not be disappointed!!!! I really hate to give a two star to this restaurant but when you are charging $50 for a steak, I expected a better quality steak. From my reviews, it's not hard to tell I love eating and i am not a picky eater lol. I had the special of the day ($50 for that low grade/quality steak!) and wedge salad. My son had the escargot, onion soup, and Mac and Cheese. My steak was hard to cut through and was hard to chew on. I know quality steak and this was not it. The escargot was not fresh at all and onion soup was extremely salty. My wedge had some brownish spots showing some aging of the lettuce and I was surprised they even served it. The server and the assistant were good, hence the 2 stars but overall, very very disappointed. If they charged $25 for the steak, then it's fine but not at $50 for that quality. read more
