Great Experience at Uptown Bar and Grill in Watertown WI…read more Stopped in to the Uptown Bar and Grill and was pleasantly surprised! The bar was busy and full of customers, but there were still plenty of tables available. It took a little while for the bartender/server to get to us because of the crowd at the bar, but it was well worth the wait. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The fries and tater tots were cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and some of the best we've ever had! A nice personal touch was that the chef came out to check on us and make sure everything was good. The restrooms were also clean and well stocked, which is always appreciated. We'll definitely be back!

Quite sizable, it has tvs throughout with seating at the bar, high tops and tables. Solid beers on tap and a menu of what you expect at a bar-apps, burgers, wings, and sandwiches. Appreciate the fact they use never frozen beef for their (quite large) burgers and source local cheese. We started with some homemade mozzarella sticks wrapped in wonton wrappers. They were great and paired well with both the marinara and ranch sauces we ordered. The burgers we also ordered on point. With the option of pink or no pink, the burgers were chargrilled to order and as I mentioned above, substantial. Our bartender was great and checked in on us regularly. I'm not in Watertown much but wouldn't hesitate stopping in if ever back in the area.

I love Tailgaters. I've always enjoyed coming here - It's a great spot in Stoughton and usually…read morepretty busy. The bartenders are on point, know their stuff, and always friendly. The inside of this bar has changed a lot over the years and the owners have really done a lot to make it look great. It's a great space from the front door to the back. The only issue is with the bathrooms ... let's do something about those doors in the stalls, huh? Anyway - During this Covid-19 pandemic I wanted to make it a point to show them some love as they are pumping out the delicious food day in and and day out for pick up and I couldn't be more thankful for that! I have ordered for pickup a few times now and the food has been excellent every time!! The Hibachi pop-ups on Tues/Thurs are a big hit and the rest of the menu is delicious as ever. THANK YOU Tailgaters for keeping Stoughton's bellies full.

We chatted and played a few etab games (be aware: ticket cash-out will print behind the bar, so you have to go up there to ask for it-- they won't bring it to you). Place started out slow and picked up speed. Our bartender, who only works a few days a month, was cool and polite. He got a little overwhelmed towards the end, but the place seemed short staffed for a Friday. Positive: Kegger Tators we're delish! Tasted like a sour cream and chive mashed potato with crispy goodness on the outside. Petty melt had a decent rye bread. Improve: Chicken wings were a little dry but at least they're weren't undercooked. Sauces on the side were bottled whatevs, wish they were house made. Wish the fries were crispy and not shoe string. Burger size was small compared to the bread. By the end, we still had to go up several times to get service and the bar wasn't near full.

I loved the bar, it was shaped like a Viking ship with a dragon We had a pretty big group and so we had made a reservation and they were expecting us which was nice. We were sat off into a room where we could all sit together and talk. Our server was absolutely amazing. Guess what, I found another yummy Ruben there with the best fried green beans with this amazing cranberry dipping sauce. Oh, wow, it was delicious. It was a perfect day for an all women's motorcycle ride, there were 13 of us. 12 Spyder riders and 1 Harley Tri Glode.

I love that it's a local joint, love that it has a legit Viking ship bar that blows smoke/steam, and love getting beer brewed on site. And a nice variety of beer at that. It had been awhile since I've been here, but it continues to be delicious. We came here for a Friday fish fry and while busy, the wait wasn't terrible at all. We went to the bar to grab a drink, and it seemed a bit wrong not to get a beer but it also seemed wrong not to get an Old Fashioned while waiting for a fish fry. So, Makers Old Fashioned Sour it was, and it was really good! I'd definitely order it again, and love that they didn't over-fill it with ice. It could sit for a bit and not get so terribly watered down. But OMG the fish fry! We try out a new fish fry spot every month, or at least most months, and I have to say this fish is probably my #1 that we've had. It was so delicious. The breading on the outside was light but crispy, and the inside was juicy and moist (sorry, it's really the best word to describe this!). I brought the third piece home (it took a lot of willpower not to eat it). I tear the breading off and give some of the fish as a topper for my pup's dinner. This fish and breading was seriously so good I'd eat the breading straight out of the refrigerator off the fish. The french fries were good, but had a few too many that were overly crunchy (reject fries, as I like to call them). Even so, still good and the fish still gets it 5 stars and the title of "Best." The roll that came with it was likewise delicious. Fun, local atmosphere and good food all around - the regular menu is great, the fish fry is great, the beer is great, and the drinks from the bartenders are great.
