They have a piano player on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings when the mood is subdued, chatter discreet but this bar has more charm than any other 'hotel' bar I've ever been in. To call it a hotel bar would be an insult. It's an excuse to snuggle up close and extend your pinkie finger. Try not to spill it! Afternoon tea is served here from 2.30pm to 5.00pm weekdays and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm at weekends. It's elegant, beautiful and very popular for it. You can even have your tea leaves read. I don't know how often their menu rotates, but we were served things like smoked salmon with cavier and lamb sausage rolls. This place is a nice treat, but with the cost, I can't say this would be a regular stop for me. As a tourist though, it was definitely great to experience.

The best hot chocolate I've had since I flew to Australia and I've tried a lot. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and the chocolate bits just melted in my mouth smoothly.
