This young black man (forgiveness, I did not get his name) was professional, polite, kind, attentive, timely, and flexible! The place was packed and active as it was Spurs final game... he told us the score lol, kept glasses full, coffee fresh, food hot and spirits high. We were a part of 6 with a last minute addition and he was 'on it!'. If you want or need your experience at this location to go almost perfect, ask for this young man. I know I will!

Both my wife and I got the steak, though others at my table got the fish or the shrimp. I didnt eat the calamari, but it was served with a sweet and sour sauce and not a traditional marinara. Weird. The caesar salad honestly tasted like romaine and water. I saw dressing on there, but this is seriously the La Croix of caesar, the dressing may have been in the same room, but it certainly wasnt on the salad. The shrimp paesano came with three shrimp that looked more bread than shrimp. I was told the fish was pretty good, but I cannot confirm as I didnt try it. Now, the steak was just a mess. Absolutely no flavor at all, even though it was covered in some sort of tomato sauce, I couldnt taste either. I thought for a bit that maybe it was just me, but my wife reported the same issue. How you can make a piece if beef covered in tomato sauce absolutely devoid of flavor is a mystery that even Sherlock Holmes couldnt unravel. I will say that the service was prompt and friendly, I know a wedding reception can be a challenge, but they were definitely staffed appropriately. The restaurant itself is modern and tastefully appointed, but this isnt the type of joint I would return to. I prefer a more traditional cozy vibe, especially for Italian. And with a name like Paesanos, that what I expected. This is the type of place people with "money" come to in order to show that they have money. Maybe the stand alone experience would be better, but I wont be back to find out.

We were immediately seated and Jamie, our server was friendly and attentive. Actually the entire staff was excellent. We opted for the prix fix luncheon menu - so worth it! Your choice of main with salad or dessert orrrrrrr for +$3 you get all 3! Our server asked us if we wanted bread, and we said yes. The complimentary breads were nice and warm- a mixture of freshly made white and a dried fruit nut bread. The dark bread with dried fruit/nuts was my fave and highly addictive lol Ordered : Baby spinach salad with Brie on the side- fresh spinach drizzled with a light vinaigrette and sprinkled with pieces of dried fruit and bacon. The breaded/fried Brie was ooey gooey goodness. Hubby had the Classic Caesar and he enjoyed it. Both salads were decent large bowl portions. Grilled miso glazed Atlantic salmon- fresh, earthy, healthy, and delicious! A good piece of salmon cooked to perfection in a mild miso glaze and topped with an avocado relish. Everything (the quinoa, toasted cashews, grilled bok choy, and salmon) paired and blended so well together. Pure delish. I was completely full afterwards, but hubby had some space for dessert. Choices for dessert were limited to 3 - crème brûlée, chocolate mousse, or toasted coconut mousse pie. We chose the dark chocolate mousse- absolutely beautiful! Dark chocolate was sinfully good, cocoa nibs added a slightly crunch, and the berries were fresh and plump. We were happily stuffed. Service was excellent and food delicious. We would definitely revisit.

Absolutely amazing!…read more I was here with some family from out of town for a dinner on a Monday night. We had a reservation and were seated as we arrived. The interior is kept very clean and the tables were set in advance for our party number. As for the food, it was PHENOMENAL! We were able to take advantage of the Monday 50% off wine special, which is a steal for a good bottle of wine. The server was friendly and was able to quickly ask around to find answers to all of our questions. I ordered the salmon-dairy free. It was possibly the best salmon dish I have tried to date. Everything was flavorful and seasoned to perfection. I was the only person in my party who had not been here before, but safe to say, I will be coming back!

There's a moment when you sit down at Paesanos River Walk where you realize you didn't just pick a…read morerestaurant... you picked front-row seats to the whole show. Perfect day. Not too hot, just that easy breeze rolling off the river like it's got nowhere else to be. I'm there with my daughter and family, and the world's walking by boats cruising, people laughing, a little chaos, a little charm... dinner and a show, no ticket required. Now the food real Italian food. Not the kind that just throws red sauce at you and hopes for the best. This is layered. Garlic that actually means something. Rich, buttery sauces clinging to perfectly cooked pasta like they're in a lifelong commitment. You taste herbs, you taste depth it's the kind of Italian food that makes you slow down mid-bite and just nod like, "Yeah... they got this right." Drinks? Smooth enough to keep ordering, strong enough to make you question your life choices in the best way. Service was dialed in. Nobody missing, nobody stressed just right there when you needed them, like they were reading your mind or watching you a little too closely... either way, it worked. And the atmosphere? That's where it gets dangerous. Because you sit there watching the River Walk roll by, the noise, the laughter, the movement... and suddenly two hours disappear. You're ordering dessert you didn't plan on, another drink you don't need, and nobody at the table's in a hurry to leave. I came for Italian food... ...and ended up staying for everything else.

The ambience within the premises is also lovely with that of a cellar vibe, low lighting (at night) and of course the water which works well. The staff were professional, friendly and attentive. Menu-The menu was quite extensive. However, would not normally attend a place this pricey, but it was a special occasion & you tend get what you pay for. Meals- We ordered the Capellini Pomodoro Crudo & the Spaghetti ( Spicy ) The red sauce is delicious on the spaghetti. The Crudo, it was a little disappointing. It hardly had any roasted tomatoes in it and large chunks of mozzarella that never melted. The olive oil was very present & not much else. Would have been better tossed with some of that spicy tomato sauce! (see pics). Note-Advise you to make a reservation! We were fortunate: as we went late in the evening, no wait time, seated outside & they were still fairly busy. The restaurant offers a private cruise dining $ experience. Check their website for details. This Italian cuisine is catered aboard a floating vessel while surrounded by the historic scenery of the river.

First course: Started with shrimp with Lemon cream for appetizer. Good flavor, however the temperature of the dish was lukewarm. Second course: soup or salad. Went for the Caesar salad. Nothing out of this world - just a Caesar salad. Third course: I went with the sirloin steak and shrimp, my friend chose the lobster ravioli. My meal comes and my steak was overcooked. I tried a bite and kept chewing and chewing and chewing. I asked our waitress if they would prepare another one for me at medium temp. She happily took my plate back and had it remade. While waiting, my friend ate her lobster ravioli. It had a great flavor to it, but the pasta needed to be cooked a little longer. I finally get my second steak, cooked medium well, but I accepted it. However, at this point it was late, my friend had already completed her meal so I asked for the meal to be boxed up to go. Fourth course: dessert. Got the apple pie with vanilla gelato. The apple pie was cold (not sure if it's meant to be or not but it was unexpected to me) but the gelato was very nice. The location and vibe is nice. Seemed like a chill spot to grab a nice glass of wine. Our waitress Jimena was fantastic. The meal, however, was not. I just expected a better experience for $63 pp plus tip. I know it was Valentine's Day but the restaurant was not terribly busy as it was a late reservation. The temperature of food is mainly what made my experience not so great but I'd probably give it another shot ordering the regular menu if I return
