If I go to the post office around the corner, sometimes I'll swing by here to get gas - it's cheaper than most of the stations in the area (way cheaper than Arco down the street for sure). I always run in and get a couple lotto tickets here - the guy inside is very nice. I've bought cheap beer like Michelob here before because it's cheaper than the beer at the liquor store down the street but their IPAs are way way too expensive, never again (what keeps me from giving 5 stars). Otherwise I prefer this gas station/mini market over all the others in the area. read more

By far, the cheapest gas around the Hercules/Pinole area! I've driven by so many times and never really took notice until my car went *DING!* in need of a refill. Not like I was near it, but someone mentioned to check it out since their prices are very competitive. And they were right. Other gas stations nearby are pricier - some up to almost $1 more per gallon. Ridiculous, more especially with far lesser commuters during this pandemic. They have a limited amount of pumps and with the demand on the higher end, it can get crowded. Plan accordingly. Patience is key. My go-to for fuel needs in the Hercules/Pinole 'hood! read more

Been going into here more often lately! Great selection of drinks and cheaper gas at the moment. Not for long but it's okay, the stuff inside is what I truly come here for. The owner inside is fairly nice now so he's earned the 5th star for this place. The other male worker threw her money at her last time from this location but hes no where near the owner. So he can stfu and sit down with that bad treatment. She just going to tell the owner about it and we'll go about our business. Just thought id add about that younger short male that works in here. Everyone else is WONDERFUL. If it was short young guys business I'd stop going here all together. read more

Horrible place to get gas, not clean. Expired drinks. Over charges for credit card purchases. Bathroom works but not for paying customers. Sign says open when they are closed. Tight parking. Pumps inoperable sometimes. Rude clerks. I'd leave zero stars if I could. Family owned. But the new people running it are running it into the ground. I purchase some stuff from the store and paid cash for the stuff I bought. I checked my receipt when I got home and they charged me a debit card charge for the item I bought and I paid cash so the next day I went back there and got my money back for the debit card fee they charged me so always get a receipt at that store if you go there. This is a small family owned gas station and the cost of their gas is less than the major brand station nearby. Two big pluses for me Another real big plus, I like the look of this station. I am sure that the building dates from the 1930s or 1940s and that it has been on the corner before highway 80 replaced the long portion of old highway 40 that is San Pablo. The only reason this is not a 5 star station is the pumps don't take credit cards you have to go inside to pay cash or use a card. I realize that some small stations have these types of pumps. I guess I am a bit lazy; it just seems a long walk to pay. However, I want to support local small business so I will go inside. They recently have put up larger signs listing their gas prices, a good move people have discovered them. read more

Came here the other day to pump gas which never really happens because I usually pump gas at Costco. This was on the way home and didn't want to stop to get gas the next day. This place has several pumps but the lot itself is very small so you often have to wait to get to a pump because either people park to far out or take up two whole pumps. By far one of the most dirtiest gas stations that I have seen but then again the are that it is isn't the nicest part of Pinole but it will do. It is located on a busy main road and close to the freeway entrances which is nice. There is hardly a wait here doing off hours and yes the gas is cheaper than Shell or 76. Definitely a gas station that I would stop if I HAD to but Costco gas/gas stations are by far my favorites and don't think there is a gas station that would top that. read more

They have cheap gas. Local to my home when I cant make it to Costco. The owners a really nice and friendly. However it is an old gas staion with few pumps. So bring your patience when you come here. read more

If you are just pumping gas it's great and in a convenient spot, despite how tight the space is it can be difficult to maneuver but that part doesn't bother me they can't do anything about it however, Their drinks are not cold at all and you need to make sure to check dates because I have got expired product there before. The guy is nice sometimes , sometimes he's not. I used to come here a lot and I want to like this place but there are better options in the area for liquor stores. read more

Stupid lady sold me a small plastic bag for .10 cents ..... It's illegal for retail stores to provide one time use plastic bags even for a charge....they have ti give paper bags or reusable bags...... But what can I spect from a place like this? Stupidity! read more

For months Pump House restroom door has a "Out of Order" sign posted. On Sept. 31, as I was getting gas, I witnessed an employee of the station enter the restroom. As she exited, I asked her if the room was "Out of Order?" She replied: "not to me!" in front of several customers waiting on her to return to cash out counter. If a paying customer can't use their facilities then they should admit as much and quit with the BS sign on the restroom door. This is a small, family-owned gas station/mini mart. I've been coming here even before the current owners started running the place, and each set of owners has built up great rapport with me. They have cheaper gas than the bigger named stations around town, and they have some snacks and drinks you can pick up. The workers are very friendly and personable, and even after being gone for half a year, the owner remembered me and asked how I was doing. I love giving them my business. The only downside is that sometimes they're out of stock on the things I'm looking for. For instance, last night, I couldn't find any 2 liter Sprites or ginger ale. This happens every now and then, but I usually don't mind, because I can find something else to replace whatever it is I wanted. Other than that, they're great! read more

Do not patronize. Overcharges on credit card fees. Needed two gallons to get me to a cheaper gas station and one without a credit card surcharge. Told the clerk I wanted $7 and handed her my credit card. The clerk handed me a receipt for signature and I noticed the total was $7.25. When I asked about the 25 cents, the clerk told me it was the credit card fee and pumps are not set-up to include the credit card fee. None to pleased, I curtly told the clerk I wanted $7 not $7.25. I pumped my gas and confirmed the credit card fee was an additional 6 cents per gallon. Since regular unleaded was $3.499 a gallon, I was able to get two gallons for a total of $7; therefore, the credit card fee should be 12 cents. I went back into the store and waited my turn in line. When I started to explain I was overcharged on the credit card fee, the clerk interrupted and started to explain the credit card fee again. I abruptly asked the clerk to not interrupt me and I explained I was overcharged since the credit card fee is 6 cents a gallon. The clerk looked at me angrily and told me she thought credit card was 10 cents a gallon. Even if this was the case, the credit card fee would be 20 cents and what if I had bought the higher grades with a higher per gallon cost resulting in less gallons pumped? The credit card fee would have been even less. The clerk did refund me 13 cents and when I told her I would never shop there again and tell everyone one about the incident, the clerk said, "We have plenty of customers, we don't need disruptive one." Since when is expecting to be charged the advertised and posted price disruptive? Used to be a good place to get gas and friendly service (about 1.5 years ago) but not any more. read more

Had a terrible experience with these guys. Came in, ask for $10 of gas on my credit card, and they ran it as a debit and charged me $.49. When I asked them to fix it, they argued with me and tried to overcharge me again. When I took issue with it, they gave me attitude about complaining about $.50. However, I must take issue with that, because they charge me $.50 to run my card. Who is giving who trouble about a few cents? I explained the difference between a cash discount and a credit card surcharge which is illegal. The young guy behind the counter got upset and started calling me nigger. Not really happy with these racist thieves. Got my money back and left. read more
