Friday and Saturday night there is a prime rib special. Although I asked for medium rare, it was more medium well. The saving grace was that the meat was quite tender and seasoned nicely. I enjoyed all the fixins which included mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding! Service was pretty good. Servers were young but were trained properly. Just the right balance of friendly and attentive. I have to mention the bathrooms are upstairs and the stalls are tiny. Terribly awkward. I heard there is an accessible washroom downstairs which is good for anyone who needs it. I would definitely come here again for the food and drinks! John's came in and did a dust and clean repairs and paint. But you can't get away from the old restaurants. Oddly there is a second room that is large that used to have couple poor tables and a bunch of tables that only gets used for parties and occasional overflow for the main area. Washrooms for men is tiny and needs a makeover, so is the main area. Really dated decor. It's tough. Do you renovate and raise the prices to cover the costs or do try to keep costs down and keep the prices down? For this location it's starting to feel really worn. However the food is still great and we have even used it to cater a small party of 16 last year. I only took one star away because of the lack of any ambiance and the need of updates.

Everyone LOVED the food, BBQ chicken, ribs, grilled corn on the cob and amazing potato salad. Everything was spot on, from the service, to the meal. The meat was moist and tasty, done to perfection. I would highly recommend their catering service and would use them again in a second!
