I found Mak and the processing bar through hashtags on instagram and decided to make an appointment. Everyone was very friendly as soon as I walked in. I'm so use to my last hair stylist (whom I love) killing my scalp when rinsing my hair that I expected it here too. Mak was very gentle and I was able to relax during that process lol. Good to know. Sydnee is the absolute sweetest! You can see her passion and dedication in her work. She listens and actually hears what you are wanting to achieve with your hair. She takes her time and is very detailed oriented- doesn't make you feel rushed and like you're "just another client" in her chair. She's very personable, friendly and outgoing. Make sure to book in advance she fills up very quickly! **The only negative things I have to say about my experience are that the shampoo bowls are very uncomfortable- not that most are comfortable- but these ones were a killer on my neck! It would also be nice if they at least had water to offer clients- most salons I go to have that, plus coffee, hot tea and sometimes even beer / wine! I started going to the Processing Bar about a year or so ago. I had been searching for awhile for a someone that truly understood curly hair. I have definitely had my fair share of horrible haircuts and no one had ever shared their knowledge of how to care for and style curly hair the right way. So . . . I started researching salons that specifically mentioned they knew about curly hair. I called and left a message and within a day I got a call back from Syndee who told me she was the salon's specialist in the curly world, had been trained on how to cut curly hair and deals with curly hair on the daily because her daughter has curly hair too. Since then I haven't considered going anywhere else but here. Sydnee always does a great job and is continually sharing new tips, tricks and products that come to market. I appreciate a stylist who is never done educating herself. The salon is very open and airy with kind of a modern boho chic vibe. All of the girls that work there are super cute, very nice, and if you follow their Instagram page I think you'd agree they all do great work. The location is in downtown Meridian, with lots of parking options. The owner Tish is a stylist herself and is known for the special method she invented for doing hair extensions. She travels all over the U.S. training other salons about her method. If you are searching for a new salon. Give PB a try. Jessica Olguin did an INCREDIBLE color and cut on me!!! "The Processing Bar Salon" Meridian (726 N Main)!!!! She is absolutely AAAAAMAZING!!! I loooove it! It's EXACTLY what I wanted!! After seeing 3 different stylists, 3 different salons.... 4 seperate 3-4 hour sessions total from all these different stylists... Jessica was the one out of everyone who did it exactly like the photo I showed her and everything was PERFECT!!!!! She's amazing!!!! I live in SC and my sister recommended her to me while I'm in Idaho visiting family. I am going to get my hair done across the entire country every time to have Jessica do it. She is THAT GOOD!!! First time here because it just opened apparently. There isn't a sign up yet which made it a little hard to find, but I'm told it will be up soon. It's an easy to get to location downtown Meridian. Plenty of on street parking. The salon has a great modern, industrial feel I love. The staff, both the ladies and guys, are friendly and welcoming and talented at what they do. Sydnee did a cool gray/icy blonde baylage breaking up the golds/yellow blonde I have. It turned out amazing. I have no issue trusting this girl with my fine blonde hair. I feel like finding a salon can be one of the hardest things when you move. I'm so happy I found syd and this place. PS...There is some cool graffiti in the alley beside the salon which I might have taken a selfie showing off my new hair in front of lol. read more

Jordyn is amazing! Hands down best of the best. She is an expert in blonde coloring, I loved that she took extra steps to ensure she kept my length and did not damage my locks - I spent 2 years growing it out before I made the transition to blonde to ensure the health of my hair. Their work is always amazing. Hudson and Tisha did and amazing job on my hair but I've been all their stylist work and they are amazing.

So happy I was referred to this salon, as I am new in town. Being my first time there I was a little nervous as I have really long hair. CJ made me immediately feel at ease and explained the the transformation process. We were transforming my very dark, dyed brown, long hair to gray/silver. Gray Hair, Don't care !! I'm so done trying to stay on top of the gray root grow out. Bless her heart just the foiling took about 3 hours, (we should have counted the foils LOL) but she made it a pleasant experience with getting to know me and telling me about place to go, as I had just moved here this past May. It was nice to have her full attention, as other places I have been, the hairdresser is working on other clients as well as me. My hair came out great and will go back to CJ to continue the process.
