My appointment was for 10/14/2022 9am. I called to say i would be about 5 mins late due to some traffic on the freeway. I do not live close by. Found parking right away in front. I paid for 2 hour meter because I thought my bridal hair may take long since i have thick curly hair. To my surprise after walking in and meeting Katelyn.i see that my hair would not be getting washed. And she went straight into curling my hair and braiding it. I showed her some really pretty up dos of bridal hair. She said okay I can do that. She was done maybe within 30-45 mins.... t first she left a huge bump on my head that just made my awkward skull look like a complete conehead. I told her to get rid of the bump, i did not like it. In the end i had random braid and curly strings hanging from the side. I really just should've worn my head down. After looking at my bridal pictures, my hair looks completely awful! This was supposed to be a special day and was hoping to look decent since reading good reviews about this salon. I will attach pictures that i showed her and pictures of my awful hair style. She made me look bald on the sides and none of it looked like any of the pictures i showed her. $100 to look like my little niece braided my hair. Absolutely not worth it whatsoever. I feel like i have to redo my wedding photo shoot due to how awful this hairstyle was. I feel like if i was a hair stylist and a hair style did not look good on a client i would tell them. It is really hard to get an appointment at my regular place so I thought I'd try Graeber while visiting Boise. Shampoo, cut and style took a half hour. I thought that I'm paying for a cut more than an experience, hair looked better leaving than going in, so I should be happy, maybe she is just fast. After I washed my hair I was able to tell she just did a slight trim, I think. Or did I imagine her using scissors? I still needed a haircut. Visiting this salon was a waste of $70. I'm giving two stars because she didn't ruin my hair and what she did improved my look slightly. If the cut cost $15 I'd give 3*. read more

Excellent Service: the ability of service providers to consistently meet and occasionally even exceed customers' expectations. I have read some of these negative reviews and although you may truly have had a bad experience, it does not speak to the volumes of great service that Graeber and Company delivers on a daily basis. The unfortunate part of that, is that most people won't take the time to rate a positive experience but would be quick to write a bad one. Sometimes things just happen, we can all agree on that. As I continue to read some of these reviews, it's pretty obvious that it usually falls on the responsibility of the client not owning their own part by communicating their tardiness to an appointment or expectations on style. A lot easier to point the finger at someone else than owning up on your own actions that created the experience. I hope as you read my review and the review of others, that you keep an open mind that the only way to judge a person or a business is by experiencing it yourself. With that being said, Time and time again, my personal experience has been amazing. From the moment I walk in, I am met with professionalism, warmth, comfort and attentiveness. There is pride in the work and the ability to make things right when they go wrong. This is why I continue to come back. Not only because I get a great haircut, but because of how I am treated and the experience I leave with. Throughout my years here and being a client to Graeber and Company, I have learned that this is an establishment that also contributes to the community, involved in positive legislation changes to the local industry (The fore-front lead during Covid), and is always looking to bring positive change to an ever-changing idealism and culture to Boise. I was a bit nervous to get layers, since last time I went to a salon the stylist cut them to short after I told them I wanted to still be able to put my hair in a ponytail and a bun. It's not a good look. It would seem to me that if you were customer focused, you would have picked up the phone and contacted me directly. Your response and lack of contact with me speaks volumes about your definition of customer service. To set the record straight, First, I did not tell the 2nd stylist I was happy with the color, however, had you reached out to me directly, I could have personally provided my perspective; but you didn't ask and you weren't there. Second, to this day I have not received a call from anyone, but I have received automated messages so I know you have the correct number. To say someone reached out and left me a message is completely false. I was fully expecting to get a call but there was none--no missed call and no voicemail.
