I had to find a new stylist because my gal left the salon I was going to in Boise. I live in Meridian and did a search for something nearby and I picked Maven Loft Salon for the reviews and the pretty pictures I saw online! I love coming into a place that feels welcoming and serene. It's a pretty salon, just like the pics! I called and requested a stylist who was good with coarse hair. I have hair breakage from hormones and I just came off an eczema flare up that lasted ten months so I didn't get a haircut for a long time due to scalp sensitivity. Julia was assigned to me and she was great. We did a hair mask that was suggested during my appointment booking and I guess I really needed it. lol. My hair feels amazing. Julia did all the things I hoped for as I left it up to her on what to do. I didn't have any style in mind, I just told her what I didn't like and she took into consideration my hair type, how much time I put into styling my hair, and my face shape. I left with the length I wanted to keep, long layers and soft bangs that sweep to the side. I can wear it curly which is my natural or blow it straight. I love leaving like I got what I wanted and paid for. I really like finding a new stylist where I can return every six weeks and get taken care of. Yay! read more

Today I went to Maven Loft Salon to get my overprocessed, dry, split- ended, bleached - out, color challenged ugly blonde hair done. The poor woman, Dariangot the wonderful assignment to fix my mess. Not only did she have short notice upon my arrival but she didn't blink an eye in our plan of action to help me. I say "our" because she really brought me up to date and wholly included me into what she could do for my hair while keeping the integrity of each strand so it wouldn't damage it any further. Talk about a Pro!!! At work!! She not only made it look great..but reversed so much of the damage that was done by me and other "people" in the her field of work. My hair is so much stronger in every way possible. Jade got me in same day, within a couple hours of me calling. She did a PHENOMENAL job with my short bob, and she gave me exactly what I wanted. I showed her a few photos, and a photo of what happened when I got the "same cut" somewhere else a year ago. She did amazing making sure it wasn't too short, putting in great layers and adding dimension that will work with the wavy texture of my hair. We had some great conversation and some good laughs which is essential when finding a good fit for your new stylist. The salon is clean, bright, and welcoming. The salon chairs are a tiny bit small but that's because I'm plus size, even so I was never uncomfortable or in pain. read more

Well I only showed her a pick and she said "ok let's do this"...I just moved here from California and actually met her in a group on facebook called "Moving from California to Idaho". So many great suggestions in that group if you are new to Idaho. Anyway, I saw her post and she mentioned she works at a hair salon called Maven Loft Salon in Meridian. I made an appointment for my daughter and I and am so happy with her. If you are in the area of Meridian or just moving here from where ever....you found your next stylist! I have had great results going here but unfortunately nobody wears a mask each time I've been so I do t think I can drive all the way out there anymore to attend any appointments which is sad because they have such a great and easy online booking system . However There is no receptionist at the front desk so it can make checking in and out a bit of a shit show Because it's a cramped small area and there's only one chair for whatever reason . Also , The towns people don't social distance . They Just kind of love to come up and invade your space as they do so and it's very socially off . I know it's located In The middle of nowhere but it's still unfortunate that most of the ppl there are completely unaware of the fact that we're in the middle of a pandemic.
