I should have done this review a long time ago but I'm happy to say even six months later my little girl has not stopped talking about the experience we had with the Princess Workshop. Our actresses were fantastic! They were so good at interacting with the kids and keeping them engaged. To my little girl they were her new best friends. And she wasn't the only one impressed, I think almost every adult came to me afterwards to say how impressed they were with the actresses. Shout out to Elsa (Camille) and Anna (Amy) for bringing the magic to the party. Behind the scenes I'm not sure if I was working with Tammy the entire time but the management team was also excellent. They answered all of my questions, including some more complex issues regarding some family members with special needs. Upon arrival, she joyfully and enthusiastically played with all of the children at the play area, allowing for parents to focus on capturing the precious moment. Terry was incredibly condescending throughout our interaction. After sending me a passive-aggressive message, she apparently didn't like being called out and was told to step off her fantasy island. I never thought that in asking for a bell performer I'd get the beast of an attitude and personality--not only from the manager, but likely the owner and possibly even the performer. Add to that the nonexistent customer service, and you get it all in one package. What does that say? Jack of all trades, master of none. That's exactly what this is. She should focus on one thing and hire people who she can actually afford to handle the other parts of the business. This company demanded full payment upfront with no alternate options--only Zelle. For a business that claims to provide invoices for accounting purposes, they should honor that option. Instead, they force a payment method that makes it nearly impossible for a customer to dispute if something goes wrong--which in this case, it did. Our family is out $50. While that's not a huge amount, it clearly matters to this money-grabbing company, and I fully intend to report them. Anyone considering doing business with them should pay with a credit card, just in case Terry decides to "wake up on the wrong side of the bed." Their behavior is unethical, unprofessional, and condescending. I would much rather recommend Enchanted Characters, whom I've used before. They are extremely professional, have clear contracts they adhere to fully, and don't cherry-pick which parts of their agreements they will honor. I'm certain she'll jump on here to spin this into one of her usual fairytale stories. She'll probably try to blame me for "not reading the contract"--which I did. Yes, I was meeting the payment deadline. Yes, Zelle was an option, but so was an invoice, which is what I requested to cover the balance she demanded. Because her tone was condescending, I mirrored it--and suddenly, I'm the problem. Suddenly, I'm "hostile." Suddenly, she "cannot" accept invoice payments. Suddenly, I've become the inconvenience. I'm not here to stroke anyone's ego. I don't care if you're the only princess available all year--if you're rude, you will be met with the same energy. I brought her back to reality, and unsurprisingly, she didn't like it. Terry, pay your processing fees and stop forcing people to funnel payments through one sourcel. Sure, Zelle is simpler, instant, and avoids those pesky processing fees or 1099-K reporting triggers--but forcing it on your customers just makes you look cheap and difficult. People, pay with a credit card--that way you have some security and aren't at the mercy of someone else's mood. read more

We used The Princess Workshop for my daughter's 5th and 6th birthdays, and I cannot recommend them enough. The booking and planning process is seamless. Tammy gives you a call leading up to the event to walk you through everything, which really helped me know what to expect and got me so excited. As a parent, you try to plan everything you can, but kids' parties are unpredictable. Both times, the performers were incredibly flexible, read the room, and just went with the flow. Last year, we had Sarah (who played Aurora) for my daughter's 5th birthday. She was so regal, elegant, and carried herself with this effortless, classic princess grace. When she walked in, it felt like magical music floated in with her. The party was mostly adults with just a few kids, and while the kids were instantly mesmerized, Aurora's singing voice left the room full of adults speechless. I got chills! She was so convincing that when we went to Disneyland later that year and I suggested we go meet Aurora, my daughter said, "I already met her at my party." Because Aurora was so incredible, I went into this year's 6th birthday thinking there was no way the next performer could match her. But Celina (who played Rumi) completely blew us away in her own way! Where Aurora was majestic and floating, Rumi was wonderfully down-to-earth, energetic, and fun. She felt like a best friend just hanging out and dancing with the girls. The party was filled with smiles and the happy giggles were magical. Rumi's singing amazed us all over again. Both performers brought exceptional talent but tailored their performance to what my daughter and guests needed each year. Booking this for my daughter's 4 year old birthday was so easy. Tammy, the owner, communicated well! I had a question about weather and adding kids to our party and she called me back within 24 hours. She was well mannered, flexible and there was no penalty for switching the date if need be. She's a mom so she gets it. This is great because kids get sick or you just never know the weather. Tammy called me again the week of and went over everything with me and took my final payment. The artist, Davita showed up early, set up and was flexible as well. She is a GREAT artist who was able to do a bunch of fun face paintings at the request of 3 and 4 year olds. She painted flowers, tigers, butterflies, Demon Hunters, etc. she worked on 3, 4 year olds and babies as well. She was quick but also detail oriented. She even did some random kids at the park who asked to join. So sweet! I highly recommend this company for being friendly, professional, and kind. She went above and beyond to make my daughter's 4th birthday perfect and re-arranged performers for me because we had both a last minute date and time change. She was incredibly sweet and professional throughout and was the least stressful part of having to make all of those changes. Now onto the performers themselves-- we had both Ariel and Belle and they were unbelievably fantastic. Punctual, professional and SO talented!! The correspondence and turnaround time reaching out was incredibly timely. The actual character depiction was not great. I have used other princess companies, for much less money, and would not recommend this one. The purpose of hiring a disney princess is to put on a show for the children, and have them be in awe. Especially a girl turning 4 and her friends. Moana did not match the pictures. This is nothing to do with who she is as a person, but more that she looked messy and not put together. She appeared looking slightly disheveled, and was late. Her wig was not clean and looked really messy, and was not staying on. She was slightly late due to having difficulty in parking, which I completely understand, but then at the end of her time she told me stayed "ten minutes extra." which was not accurate. She had a dirty book bag she was using for 1-2 of her props that made no sense with the Moana look. Lastly, she sort of hid behind columns or behind the cement bar when working with the kids. I asked her to move to more of a center location, and then she went and hid behind a column. She did not command the audience or stage at all. She just sort of hid. She did a nice job face painting and the kids appreciated that. She was a pleasant person and again, this is not about who she is. This is about what you are trying to depict as Moana, your appearance/persona, and how you lead the children. I would not recommend this company. read more
