All of the tasting tables were featured in the event space which made it hard to hear staff talk about the wine. There were a total of 4 tables which was about half the amount as other events I've gone to. This meant that most people were done sampling at the one hour mark when the event was supposed to be two hours long. Wines ranged from $10-$30 with a couple around the $50 mark. The wines were good but nothing that blew me away. I wish the event sheet listed the wine in order as we were supposed to taste as well as list the region it was from. It would have been a lot easier to follow along! The food display was one of the better ones given for variety. Overall, it's always a fun time to try wines I wouldn't normally try! We had just come from the nail salon next door and wanted to buy some alcohol for my bachelorette trip (which we were on our way to) We went to the whiskey/bourbon wall and my friend was very politely asking questions and was met with attitude and disrespect. She didn't notice right away, but I did. After there was literally NO help given, my friend picked out what she wanted and we went to the register. She had offered to buy since it was my Bachelorette weekend and had a Cashapp Card with all her money on it. She had checked her balance IN the store and had plenty of money on it. She had asked if she could have access to WiFi to unlock her card (she had problems with people hacking in the past, so she locks it after a purchase and unlocks it at the next place to make a purchase) when he refused, I offered her my hotspot to take care of it and she did. She unlocked it, used her card and their system kept declining it. They kept blaming her bank and saying their "system is superior and there are no issues with it" We had also stepped to the side to fix this so he could take care of other customers. Once she was good, we tried again. It didn't work. The 15 year old behind the counter (I'm assuming is the franchise owner's daughter ---she looked WAY too young to be working at a liquor store and I have my BASSET, so I know for a fact that you need to be 21 to sell liquor) gave us more attitude then her father did. During this whole interaction it took a lot for me not to say more than I did. ultimately, we left our items on the counter and said "we will come back" well, we never did. and I probably will never go to that location again and have told my family about our experience and they were shocked. oh, and as for the card? we went to another liquor store, the owner was SUPER helpful and friendly AND her card worked perfectly fine. So yeah. Even as a long time shopper, I'll be sticking to the place that gave me good service.
