Spent $26.50 on a mediocre burrito when I realised I was going to have to spend another $4.00 for a little bowl of not very good hot sauce. My Fav restaurant (Toro's) wasn't open, so decided I didn't want to walk around the 'city' on a cold and wet night. The waitress was quite friendly, and the table freshly cleaned. Could have done with a dry, as the menu was stuck to the still 'moist' table. Tries the chicken burrito, and hoping they can redeem themselves for some very ordinary meals on previous visits. Verdict: Chicken Burrito - not bad Rice - could do with a bit more heat (temp) Salad - Swimming in dressing Overall: A pass, nothing special Thankfully it's on the company credit card. read more

Initially we were told there'd be a 20 minute wait but the staff opened the upstairs dining room to get us in quickly. The margaritas for $6 are not good. Very light and watery. Unfortunately it also took 45 minutes or longer to get food as well. Very nice wait staff. This Tex Mex is acceptable relative to other experiences in Australia, but not on par with US. It can meet a craving if you aren't heading back to the US for a while! read more

Basic Mexican food, reminded me of reheated dinners. It's not bad, but it's certainly not great. We had nachos, 2 serves of ribs, the prawn/avocado and the sizzling fajitas. The ribs are a massive serve (seriously enough for one between 2!). They taste very saucy- huge portions! The sizzling fajitas were actually the best of the bunch- nice to make up your own Fajitas. Not much for decor, but service is great and friendly. And not a bad place for a mid week dinner! read more

No bueno. My dad being originally from Texas and my mom from Mexico , the food here was very disappointing almost insulting.... Have to give them two stars for the decor and music, almost close to authentic. Might stop in again for just a margarita and to enjoy the atmosphere. Not all tex-mex or Mexican food is spicy, contrary to what the waitress told me to justify the food when I mentioned my disappointment. read more

This place is in the centre of town and I was really craving something spicy on a cold night! I walked by this restaurant and thought I'd give it another try. I had it 3 years ago and couldn't remember the experience. I ordered the chilli con cactus, and the churros take away. Both were well packaged but they forgot to give me cutlery. That was inconvenient! Food was quick only a 10 min wait. Came smoking hot which is great and they listened when I asked for spicy. However I don't think this is really true Mexican.... I couldn't find any jalapeños and it just didn't taste Mexican! My dish was meant to be tomatoey chicken with capsicum, it was indeed, but just lacked the Mexican spices. Chicken was really fresh I could taste the difference! The churros. We're very sad. 4 large churros for $10 is well priced. I ate one and left the rest. They just weren't worth my calories :( read more

Quite possibly one of the worst meals I've had out, and for the price being charged, and the fact it's Mexican food*, you'd expect a lot better. I'm surprised they are still in business. The whole meal was bland, the rice floury, the spices non-existent and the presentation poor. Possibly the only saving grace was that the chicken on the fajitas was very well cooked - I assume by accident. The lady that served us was lovey, however. Really not Mexican food. Quesadilla was very ordinary. Lots of beef but no spice, no freshness, everything was just a bit blah. $23 for one quesadilla is also a bit rich. Not a pleasant venue either. Service was the best thing about our visit, great staff. read more
