Bar Stelo is actually a bar in Stelo at Pierre's. Was totally confused by the Bar Stelo and walking down George Street there is a sign for Pierre's. Just remember 88 George Street and Stelo at Pierre's!!!
Went in person to make reservations just to make sure we were making them where we wanted to go. No problem. Made an early reservation and by the time we finished the restaurant was packed. The menu was very inviting and we had a difficult time selecting our dinner.
We selected four tastes to share:
- Popcorn Cauliflower was a pickled cauliflower, with an almond milk spice kind of like an Indian curry (I think). I am Not a cauliflower fan and I feel in love. Couldn't stop eating these wonderful morsels.
- Second did was baked Scallops on half shell with potato foam, focaccia bread crumbs and leek oil. They were tasty but as once again I am not a fan of something....scallops they were great. Only complaint is they could have been cooked a little longer.
- Ravioli with ricotta, pumpkin purée, brown butter sauce garnished with hazelnuts. Perfection. Every bite was better than the prior one.
- Last dish was the Porchetta - rolled and roasted pork, with a carrot purée, grilled nectarines, gremolata and radicchio. Loved this porchetta! The skin was a perfect crust and I have never had porchetta with as little fat as this one had. Almost none. Excellent.
All dishes arrived and they were art on a plate. Beautiful plating of awesome food.
Highly recommend. Make a reservation. Service was top notch read more
