Doesn't seem to be loud in their outlet appearance but hey, appearance can be deceiving eh.. Went in on recommendations by Google as I could not find any about it on Yelp though it was listed. So I went. And I had. And I enjoyed!
The Chinese staffs from the restaurant were friendly and accomodating. The menu items were not filled with dazzling Michelin Star food but normal mundane Chinese food dishes. However on first sight and without pictures of the dishes, the prices looks steep. But when then dishes were served, it will justify itself. The dishes are of big serving and quality stuffs. With just me and my wife having dinner, I decided to be conservative and ordered 3 dishes worrying that the serving would be huge. We ordered the Fried Pork in Sweet and Sour Sauce, Wanton Soup and an Egg Omelette with King Prawns. The dishes did not disappoint. The Egg Omelette with King Prawns had really many prawns and they were big and fresh! The Egg Omelette was also done in a very different way this dish is normally prepared as in they served it with a sauce that tasted oyster sauce to me. The combination was just great as the normally oily egg omelette has blended beautifully with the sauce and made it a nice combination with white steamy rice! The Fried Pork in Sweet and Sour Sauce was also done and served exquisitely in high class restaurants and the serving seems to be for 3 person. The pork was marinated and prepared well in that there was not much "porky" smell if you understand me. The last dish was the Wanton Soup and there was no prawn in it but just marinated mince pork. The dish was ok but had a strong scent of sesame which might be another diner's bane.
Oh Yeah! The rice serving (served in a pot) can be refilled a second time on the house by a third serving would be at a charge. I had a pretty sumptuous Chinese food fare here that beckons me to try them again for other dishes when my cravings run me down. I would definitely recommend them to other diners. read more
