I loved how close to the interstate the one in Scott, LA is, and my husband loved all the novelty/giant candies, such as the 26 lbs. gummy bear and the giant gummy worm. Our 9 year old daughter's favorite was the ice cream bar, and my 6 year old daughter's favorite was all the jelly beans! I was also drooling over all the homemade fudge and truffles! I had seen pics of the store and knew we would go someday, but it's so much better in person!! We went in early January and got to see the precious setup they had for Santa, so next year, we'll have to come when Santa is in!! We rode the train outside ($3/child) and was told that Santa rode the train into the building! So cute! Something about a candy store that brings joy to your heart and innocence from childhood. Practical observations, the place was super clean and spread out so didn't feel crowded like some candy stores do. I even "checked out" the bathrooms and was impressed at their cleanliness too. Customer service was great as well. We cannot wait to return and hope this will be a family tradition for us for many years!!

But as always the service here is amazing and so helpful. 5 out of 5 We got Boudin Sausage, I was quite shocked at how mushy it is compared to sausages that have more of a bite to it. 4 out of 5 Space is nice and clean 5 out of 5 Over all happy to say it was well enjoyed 5 out of 5

It is pronounced Lag-Knee-App, make sure you say it that way a lot when you come visit us. All the cool kids do. Best Stop is a must stop for anyone road tripping along I-10 in Louisiana. Who needs a Bucees when you have this place. The aforementioned boudin balls are the best road trip snack ever. Fried spicy, cheesy, delectable delights. On my most recent visit, I got their in house made beef jerky, homemade pork skins, the boudin balls and some jalapeno honey mustard to take home. All of it wonderful. One of my buddies who I was road tripping with, was smart enough to bring a cooler. He bought frozen boudin balls, a few pounds of boudin, some smoked sausage and some sort of stuffed chicken. This place has all kinds of meat! I was jealous and I will definitely bring a cooler next time.

Candy, candy, candy oh my candy! Yup, a kid in a candy store is exactly how I feel, when I come in…read morethere. It's hard to keep myself away because each time I visit I never leave empty handed. I love my sours, so I go straight to the sour belts, bears, worms; you name it, I love 'em. This is not the largest candy store in the mall, but it suffices. This one is on the 2nd floor and the other is on the 1st floor. So, when you need your candy fix and are on the 2nd floor (closer to Sears), this is the perfect place for you. Have kiddos? Expect stay here for 15+ minutes tops. It's so bright and colorful, so it's very eye-catching to those little candy-loving tikes. You will definitely end up with a couple to bunches of sweet treats in hand. Don't be surprised if you find something for yourself that brings a bit of your childhood back. It's a nice feeling, trust me!

Yesterday afternoon I needed to run to the mall. Karsyn got…read moreexcited bc she had money and wanted to get her and her friends candy from Candy Craze. After a couple of stores we finally got to Candy Craze and there were about 6 other people in the store so I decided to wait right before the entrance and sent them into pick their candy. I watched as they carefully picked one or two items of each they wanted; smiled the whole time, told other people excuse me while passing and then happily got in line, I also noticed the person working staring them down the entire time as they did nothing wrong. ( so much so the she missed the man stuffing his face with candy before he pd for it) After they got in line the lady checking out begins throwing her hands up in the air, shaking her head and raising her voice then I see all of the girls faces change. Everyone in the store shrugs their shoulders and looks baffled. I walk up and what the problem was and the lady said says nothing, my child paid her money for their over priced cavity makers and walked out the store. I then called the store to see what the problem was, first of all the lady was rude from the beginning of the conversation and told me I am so insecure that I had to call her to figure out what was wrong. She first told me that the girls were trying to figure out how to split up their payment which isn't true bc it was only Karsyn who brought money in. Then she told me that one of them wanted to put something back, also not true. Then she said that they didn't think they had enough money you know what; and Kars is a worrier so she might've been stressed about that .... BUT if that was the case, I was standing literally 10 feet away with a debit card. She then said that I needed to supervise my kids and that's when I lost it!! What she saw was 3 black girls, in a store, without an adult.... she assumed they weren't raised and were trying to steal her overpriced junk from her store. When she saw the white woman standing behind them waving her whole demeanor changed. I am so big on teaching karsyn responsibility, how to pick an item in a store and keep track of cost, how to walk up and pay for something, look the clerk in the eye, say thank you and speak to adults with confidence and respect. Her friends are raised exactly as she is. If I had saw them acting up in the store, getting over greedy with what they were putting in their bags or being disrespectful, I would've walked in long before the old white "Karen" even had a chance to correct them. Think TWICE before you to give your money to a racist old white lady, who instead of apologizing called me insecure and told me I offended her when I tried figuring out exactly what the problem was.
