    4th of July ready!

I'll admit, after the COVID-19 Pandemic hit I was disappointed they weren't open. I waited and waited. I visited Poparazzi's Gourmet Popcorn since they were open and I was not impressed. The Popcorn Bar is back open and what I love the most is always entering the doors and smelling fresh popcorn. I visited Poparrazzi's twice and never smelled anything fresh, it was evident in the taste as well. The Popcorn Bar is definitely the best Popcorn I've had around Houston!

My car was stinky for days! Must be real cheddar. 5/5 stars! Awesome service. Great ambiance.

I've been craving for kettle corn lately, I decided to give this place a try after driving by this store for years. I was very happy with the small bag of kettle corn I got, perfectly sweet and crunchy, and it tastes very fresh, hit the spot! Service was great, he washed his hands before bagging the popcorn, and carefully wrote "kettle corn" on the bag, which was very sweet. I'll be back whenever I crave for more.

Love popcorn!!!! This is the place to go. They have every favor you can imagine. I been coming to The Popcorn Bar for now 3+ years and I'm finally reviewing it. They have tons of flavors, different sizes to serve anyone's need and let's not forget. I'm the last 3+ years that I have shopped here their customer service has been exceptional.

Today I had my first experience at a popcorn shop since moving to the Houston area. The popcorn bar has a great selection of flavors to choose from ranging from savory to sweet. You have different sizes to choose from as well, with the prices ranging from around $3 to over $20. I chose a classic flavor, Chicago mix (caramel and cheese). It was so good and savory. I was helped by Lorenzo who was very nice and had some good recommendations. Can't wait to go back again, next time I'm going for the dill pickle!

Belly-up to the ... counter and ask for a swig (s@mple). \_o_o_o_o_/ . . . sssssss s s s ..... pop! pop! (_) (@) (_ ) @) (..) ("") note: half-popped "a" kernels are in the review Amaizing (corny) Gift idea: Popcorn in a tin. Pick among a large number of fl@vors. Put the tin, the popcorn bag (small, medium, l@rge, huge), the p@dding/stuffing in the tin, perhaps with some accessories (like small individual size bags), in a cellophane bag, closed with a decor@tive ribbon, and voila! Gift! They let you try the flavors (but, I think they h@ve an egg timer to avoid giving away samples too quickly). The popcorn is fresh, evenly coated*, nice flavor (most are not too s@lty), and each piece is like a little ball. Not many broken fr@gments at the bottom of the bag, either. * For the bond to the popcorn, the powder is "shaken, not stirred." Of course, this comes @ a price. But it's a bit cheaper than theatre popcorn, and tastier. This is gre@t for a lazy home theatre host. I filled my husk with: @ The Southwest Jalapeno (the hottest one) ... medium for $11 @ Caramel Pecan (they are not too skimpy on the nuts) ... small for $8 ouch... but it's a gift The "bar" analogy is rather strange, as is the martini logo. You don't order and eat at the bar. Unlike a bar, here you take it to go (there are no chairs/stools, either). The day after: I had a pepper hangover (stomach did not feel right). It also seemed saltier than I originally thought. And the caramel that tasted so good as a sample, was not as good as Cr@cker J@ck or the Boy Scout Trailmix in a tin. On the whole, it is still a good and different gift idea. So, there may be a kernel of truth to the statement that they are ear to stay for awhile.

    Yummy yummy!!!!

ok, so I have found my 5-star popcorn heaven! They have a great selection going on here and a huge upside is you can sample as many as you want (no limit) which is great when you're going in wanting to buy several but want to make sure you like what you're buying first. I arrived just before they opened this morning and was assisted by young Miss Meredith; she is a fantastic salesperson. She is extremely informative and helpful and has excellent people skills. She seems very genuine (not like she HAS to be nice for her job). I really loved that my first experience here was with her. So as it turned out, it seems both Meredith and myself have quite the same taste when it comes to the sweeter flavors: we don't really dig extremely sweet, which is great because this helped in my selection and tastings. Here's what I tasted: Mac 'n cheese - cheesy & yummy Mojito - very sweet and didn't really find much of any minty lime flavor Cinnamon Toast Crunch - not too overbearing in sweetness and overall perfect! Peanut Butter w/ Chocolate - not extremely sweet, very peanut buttery with right amt of chocolate. Chocolate Mint - mint sneaks up on you and is perfect balance with the dark chocolate but still found it to be too sweet for my personal liking Dill Pickle - seriously very pickley tasting (LOL) and shockingly good! Fried Pickle - combo of dill pickle & kettle corn - interesting but did not really taste like fried pickle, lol Pickled Cowboy - combo of dill pickle & ranch - DELISH! SEE, so I did get a good sampling, not like the other place that limits you to 2. Plus I asked Meredith about combining White Cheddar with their Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper because I love Doc Popcorn's combo of White Cheddar & Cracked Pepper; she told me this combo would perfect because their White Cheddar is a Basil White Cheddar which I thought would be a totally killer combo too! So as it turned out, I ordered 5 bags: Mini Buffalo Wings (eating this now as I type & is super fantastic!), Mini Parmesan Garlic, Mini Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Junior Pickled Cowboy (could NOT pass this up) and Junior Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper w/ White Cheddar Combo. I must tell you that I nearly flipped to find out my order was just over $12! At the other place, I had picked up 8 bags, mostly minis & pd well over $32 plus my order was wrong! Another young lady bought a slew of bags & her order was under $30! Oh yeah, plus they had to make Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper because they were out, and the young man in the back came up front to let me know he was making a fresh batch & that it'd be just a few minutes (perfecto!) I am definitely going to tell my friends and family members about this place! I think you should give them a try. They are located on the northbound side of the 59 feder where the Genghis Grill and Kolache Factory are located. Seriously give them a try, because they are definitely worth it; plus the popcorn does taste really fresh and crispy, not stale or have an oily residue from sitting too long. DO check 'em out & hopefully Meredith will be able to help you too!

This place has a pretty good product, but the service is always lack-luster, if not rude.

This is still my go-to spot when a popcorn craving hits (or when my 2-gallon tin runs dry). I've reviewed their previous location and checked in there multiple times. I believe I've tried nearly every flavor they offer. My faves continue to be Dill Pickle and Buffalo Ranch. Southwest Jalapeno and Spicy Queso are also very good. I do tilt on the Savory (salty) side, so that should be understood. I've recently been turned on to one of their Specialty flavors, though: Black Tie. Think of it as a fresh version of Cracker Jack's on steroids (without all of the peanuts): caramel-coated popcorn drizzled with milk and white chocolate. To die for! Warning, though: it is expensive and if you eat too much (as I have done), you will get a massive belly ache. Years ago I bought the 2-gallon tin (I actually have two of them); it's a better buy in the long run if you go back for refills. Tins can be filled with one or multiple flavors (separated). Service is always very good. I'm deducting a star this time around, because for the first time in all the times I've been coming here over the years, I was unable to get credit for my purchase on my SpotOn rewards. The employee working could not get their tablet reader to turn on correctly; I was told that the next time I come in that I should tell the owner what happened and he'll credit me and bump up my rewards. He wasn't here today, so what's to insure he'll be there next time I come in? There's no getting around that some of this popcorn is not cheap (which is why I participate in the rewards program), so I was a bit perturbed when I left (although a handful of Black Tie did make me feel better).

I love a good family owned business and this one is such a charm!…read more I found out about this place via Groupon. Wasn't really looking for it--just found it interesting and decided to buy. I've seen Just Poppin popcorn in stores, but didnt think they were local. Nice to know when a product is locally created! However, I almost lost out on my good fortune because I waited a day before it was going to expire to use it. Took me a little time to find the place (see tips), but its so cozy inside--and the fresh popcorn makes up for it! A young man greeted me with a smile as I entered the establishment and asked how he could help me. Great to see young people working and knowing how to present customer service--with a smile! Since I had a Groupon, he had to get an adult from the back, but there was no issue with the redemption. I ordered the chocolate drizzle and did wait to have it made fresh, but when do you ever get fresh made popcorn??? With chocolate??? Yeah, so the wait is worth it. Small businesses need our support to thrive, so I'll enjoy my package of popcorn knowing that my purchase contributes to someone else keeping their dream alive. Stop by and have a taste if you're in the area!
