SERVICES: 5/5 The cashier was very friendly. She was knowledgeable of popular flavors. I ordered the strawberry flavored popcorn TASTE: 2/5 I was disappointed that it didn't taste like strawberries at all. It had intense red dye coating on the popcorns. I'm not a sweets person, the popcorn was too sweet for my taste. PRICE: 3/5 $5.50 for a small bag of popcorn 3 stars for the popcorn taste, it didn't taste like strawberries. I love this place, as I am a huge popcorn fan! They have sooo many different flavors if you're into savory or if you are into sweet they have it all! I come here probably once a week and get the wings and ranch popcorn! It's my favorite. The buffalo chicken sandwich is also very delicious because it has wings, ranch, and dill! I hadn't enjoyed the deliciousness of POParazzi's in quite a while. Since I was on that side of town, I stopped in for some treats. And, I'm sooo happy I did. The product is just as good as I remembered. On this visit, I ordered their Butter Pecan flavor which totally hit the spot. Popcorn is my favorite go-to snack rather sweet or savory you name it I'm in it. When I walk the staff were very welcoming, they were very knowledgeable about the popcorn selections, they also told me you know a lot about the business and you know inquired about it being my first time and they make sure that I would be coming back. Updated review - Well the place is a little more run down since last time I visited. They were out of some flavors and the guy said we've been out for a week, I don't know what their production schedule is but that seems like they should've replaced it by now. The place needs to be cleaned-the floors were sticky and many of the containers had smudged ickiness and fingerprints all over them. Both of the savory flavors we tried were stale. We were there for a gift, so we bought the sweet kind. Stick with that because at least it will be crunchy from the candy. We got birthday cake and cookies and cream-they didn't disappoint. I've heard so much about POParazzi popcorn since moving to Houston, well I finally decided to see what all the hype was about. They have popcorn flavors in almost anything you can think of. The menu is super cute. Just like a regular menu are sections from entrees to dessert. I decided to go with three flavors Texan, Pink Cotton Candy, and Spicy Cheese. I personally was not a fan of the spicy cheese because it was a little too spicy for me. The Texan was okay, but my favorite was the pink cotton candy. I definitely plan return. If you're looking for the best variety in flavored popcorn, this is your place. I found them using my yelp app and compared to others in the area it seemed to be the best one. Well I can now say that it was a great decision. The menu is front and back, assorted between sweet flavors on one side and savory on the other. Pricing may vary depending on the flavor and bag size selected. This was my first visit so I tried multiple (cookies and cream, Chicago style, and caramel pecan), and they were all great. Okay...I have a lot of friends from Chicago. There is a popcorn vendor up there, name withheld purposely, that has a cheddar and caramel mixture that is truly delicious. That was the introduction of me wanting flavored popcorn, yet, that unnamed proprietor set the standard for me. My boy from Chicago that now lives in the great state of Texas with me told me about a place here that is close to be as good as the Chicago counterpart. Coming from a Windy City Native, I knew I would have to make my way there. Fast forward to today, and I just happen to be in the area, so let's do it. First of all, there are SO MANY frickin' flavors to whereas you can take a 15 minutes trying to wrap your head around what flavor to get! Clean store with good decorations, especially loving the LSU and Saints cans right by the door! Very friendly staff that I harassed about being short, and come to find out they all have a good sense of humor...even one of the owners who I was harassing! I definitely like owners who are not uppity, so this place is okay in my book. Too many choices...too many choices...too many choices. Wait, there are at least 5 bag sizes to choose from as well?!? Dang. Too many choices...too many choices...too many choices. Pricing varies by flavor and bag size ordered. I can't even BEGIN to tell you how amazing POParazzi is. I visit Houston often, but have yet to hear about this gem until this particular visit. I was put on by my uncle, who swears by the place. Plus he is a staunch advocate for minority (black) owned businesses, as am I, if you haven't noticed :) Anywho, once he gave me the address, I decided to stop by to check it out. I'm not the hugest popcorn fan, but I love new places and sweets, so....I stopped by. It's located in the shopping center adjacent to the NRG Stadium. I actually took a great pic of the stadium from their front door. It's off to the side near a Mediterranean restaurant. The lot on that side is tiny and fills up quickly at night, so be prepared. Upon walking to the door, I was so impressed and excited by all the colors and decor I could see through the window. As I migrated even closer, the aroma of decadent popcorn varieties galore wafted into my nostrils, entangled itself with the part of my brain that controlled my pursestrings and then darted down to my legs, forcing them into a quick trot towards the door. Y'all it was so dramatic, I promise. It smelled even more amazing inside!!!! I finally knew what true love look and smelled like in the form of a lightly puffed kernel of corn. As if this wasn't enough, right outside the door is a double sided menu, so you can confuse your stomach and wallet, making your tummy think that it will get all the popcorn it can "stomach" (see what I did there?). But you wallet knows, unlike your stomach, that you can't afford the whole store at one time, because that's what you'll want when you get there. Ok, now do you get the picture? No? Ok, bet. So upon walking in there are shelves and displays stocked with decadently sweet treats, cookies and candies to complement the popcorn. Then on top of that you can see the large batches of popcorn behind the counter. As soon as my Granny and I entered, we were greeted by Ms Jackie (sp), one of the owners and taken care of by the other owner. She was so sweet, kind and courteous. She was also very accommodating, as she allowed my grandmother to use the restroom, which technically isn't open to the public. And she waited and worked on making more popcorn all 5,000 of the minutes we spent deciding what type of popcorn we would purchase. There were at least 150 varieties....maybe not, but it seemed that way. Ms Jackie also entertained us with great conversation. The kind that's hospitable and lets you know that the person is interested in your presence past the point of receiving your money. Very refreshing :) For a small popcorn, I paid $6.75. I paid the $.99 upcharge to get up to 3 flavors in one bag. My flavors were Cookies n' Creme, Strawberry Shortcake and Parmesan Garlic. *cue Homer Simpson hunger groan*. Yes, it was every bit as good as it looked and sounded. The flavors taste exactly as the name indicates. If I had to choose again, though, I wouldn't do the Parm Garlic with the other two flavors. It was very strong. Not overly so, but the robust flavor didn't go well with the sweet. I'll stick with Cheddar next time I mix sweet and salty. My Granny paid the same price and her flavors were Banana Pudding, Blueberry and Butter Pecan. She said that it was great. I left POParazzi anticipating the moment I would get to go back. Actually I'm pretty hype, bc after I type this, I'm getting some rest so that I can be there as soon as they open in the morning. Poparazzi is located in the same shopping center as a Subway near Reliant Stadium. I think I went on a bad day because the popcorn I ordered was stale. My friend said the popcorn was fresh when she went. I went on a Thursday afternoon so I would recommend going earlier in the week. I think they make the popcorn in bulk near the beginning of the week to sell throughout the week. There are 250+ unique flavors to choose from. I chose 4 flavors I wanted to sample but they had a 2 flavor limit on samples so I chose Puppy Chow and Fruit Loops. I wasn't a fan of either because they were too sweet so I got mini bags of the other 2 flavors I wanted to sample - Cheddar and Wings and Ranch. The Cheddar tasted good but it was stale and really greasy. The Wings and Ranch had a nice spicy flavor to it but it was stale as well. There's a location in the Galleria as well next to Macy's if you want to give it a try! Again, I think I just went on an off day. Popcorn was my favorite food growing up and I know how quickly it can become stale. I would maybe ask which flavors were made the same day and order those. Popcorn is best when it is hot and fresh! I was told by a "worker" as she stated that the owner told her that I needed to contact USPS and if I have not heard anything by Tuesday, I can call them back to see what they can do. I told the "worker" that I was not pleased with that answer and I wanted to talk to the owner. I am currently waiting on the owner to contact me. I feel that I should not have to call USPS to track down my order- this should be the responsibility of the business. I am now having to track down my order ($47) that was placed 2 weeks ago that I never received. I have contacted the school also to inform them of this issue. My sister, who also bought some popcorn, went to POParazzi Popcorn to pick up her order. I guess I should have done the same. Update: The owner called me and was very rude. I visited POParazzi's last night around 6pm. I haven't been a long time since I moved to Spring, TX. I was super excited about taking some snacks home. But my bubble was immediately burst when I opened the door walked inside to only be informed by the young lady behind the corner that "we're closed". She informed me that she was only going to finish with the customer she was helping. It was so disappointing especially since the hours on the door say open until 7pm on Sunday. Times have changed, over the last few years the quality of the popcorn, the service, and the prices of all diminished. The popcorn that I got today was stale, the bags seem to have gotten smaller and it was so dreary inside. I don't know what happened. We tried the S'mores, Baked potato, fruit loops, and Strawberry cheesecake. Opting to buy the fruit loops and strawberry cheesecake. The pricing varies depending on the category, be careful because the deluxe flavors can get very pricey. My fav by far is the fruit loops, I want to go back to try some others. It's very similar to those tin can popcorn things that you get 3 flavors, except it's GOOD and instead of 3 you can have upwards of a 100. It's like HARRY POTTER POPCORN! They also serve "Snowballs", which are their version of a snowcone, I'd skip that though. Let me start out explaining why I ONLY gave them 4 stars: they messed up my order, and I get pretty bummed out when that happens because I trust they did everything right so when I get home and realize it's not.....oh well. In my order I had asked for a bag of Mac'n'Cheese but I didn't get it (nor was I charged for it, but that is beside the point). I also had asked for a bag of Puppy Chow, but what they gave me was Poppa's Crunch (I did not want any chocolate caramel anything; TOO sweet). Ok, so I sampled the Banana Pudding which I personally did not like; it is WAY too sweet for my personal liking; I also sampled the Parmesan Garlic which I ended up loving! I ordered a mini bag of Fruit Loops because of all the reviews, but it was also WAY too sweet for my personal liking so I gave it to a coworker. OMG the Wings & Ranch totally rocked! Parmesan Garlic is AMAZING. Sweet Butter was totally perfect and even better than regular Kettle Corn. Lemon Pepper was lemony and perfect peppery bite. Salt & Vinegar....KNOCK your socks off vinegary! Poppa's Crunch was TOO sweet for my liking as well. The Stuffed Jalapeno was ultra yummy and spicy. I ordered quite a few bags because I don't want to come over here a lot; I packed all my baggies into large ziploc bags which has kept them all perfectly well. I know that when I return, and yes I WILL return, I am taking a list with me so that I WILL get exactly what I ordered. This is the best popcorn in all of Houston. Reasonably priced and a super friendly staff which welcome you to sample any of their vast menu. The popcorn lasts for a while without going stale. Personal favorite is the jalapeño ranch flavor. They also have "flavors of the week" and they are worth trying as well. While we haven't used them for it yet, they do parties and favors as well. I take her order so consistently and she is always extremely sweet and super understanding if the order is messed up or anything, and always tips us very well. Through the small talk she finds out that my girlfriend and I love popcorn, she asks me to look at her menu, write out the types of popcorn we would like to try, and give it to her next time she places an order at Cheesecake Factory. We got 6 different flavors, all of which are absolutely fantastic, and loved each individual piece. The next time she comes through and places her usual order, she literally just gives me the popcorn free of charge, only asking me to write an honest review, this is it. Honestly, the popcorn was actually so packed with flavor and all the flavors were so unique. She told me that when we finish it let us know what we would like to try next and she will give it to us.
