I was really excited about trying this popcorn but it wasn't fresh and the carnel flavor left an after taste. I was not happy at all.

Ok, ever been to a business whose staff IS the poster children of its business?? Well Craving Kernels is the place where you can get sweet treats and be served by an ever sweeter staff! Walking in, we were greeted with such enthusiasm by one of the staff members, asked us if it was our first time and we are welcomed to try some samples of their fudge and ice cream, we kindly rejected since we were still stuck by the entrance packing up out treat bag with gummies but promised once we get closer to the register we would love to. The store was very clean and so packed of many treats, All the clear canisters were labeled in shelves and a table in the center. My child-like gitty anxiety of all the options really brought me back to my youth when my dad took me out for candy. I absolutely was so excited to see a wide variety of jelly beans, gummies, chocolates and more. After filling our bag, another staff member so graciously offered some samples of ice cream and popcorn, I declined but the rest of my party did not hesitate (which kept them occupied as I was ordering my fudge). My husband and I drove 30 minutes to buy some popcorn due to the place we usually buy it is closed at the time due to Covid. The website makes it look like it's really good. We bought a big bag of kettle and it's really salty. So salty we can't even eat it. I guess that's why they named it sweet and salty. We were told it tasted like kettle. Our mistake for not trying it. I'm not sure if we are just spoiled from the place we normally buy it from but I wouldn't go with the kettle popcorn from here. The store is cute. The people working there are the sweetest people, they're very nice and offered tastes of different flavors before buying them. I live in Colorado but have family in Texas, so now every time I come to visit my family I HAVE to stop by here and load up on popcorn and fudge to take back with me. The store is absolutely adorable inside, but I've also had them ship directly to me before and the popcorn and fudge was just as fresh and tasty as if I'd bought it in the store. Impressive. Spectacular selection of popcorn and a trip down candy memory lane to boot! Stopped in due to its proximity to Fire Ant Brewery (we had been there for lunch). I love flavored popcorn and was blown away by the variety of flavors available here. Got the Dill Pickle (very good), Bacon (yes, real bacon bits are in there), Spicy Buffalo (zippy, but not choke-worthy) and Jalapeño Cheddar (not as hot as I thought it would be but still plenty tasty). Checked in on Yelp and got a free Xtra Buttery (wow - superb). Warp back in time for those of us that are old enough to remember the true little corner candy stores (the ones with the tubs of 1 cent rock-hard Bazooka bubblegum). Candy necklaces! Wax lips! Bit-o-Honey! This place had all of that old-style candy that I remember vividly as a child. A do-it-yourself custom "pixie sticks" machine is also here with oodles of flavors (oh, yes, my grandchildren had a good time picking their little tubes of sugary powder). Cute little place located next to a boutique and a brewery! They have tons of candy and sell it by the pound. The popcorn menu is sweet and savory. I got a cheesy cheese and a mocha type one. Both were yummy and eaten pretty quickly. If you check in on Yelp you get a free mini bag with a minimum purchase. The owner is very nice and helpful, make sure to sample some popcorn so you can decide which ones you want!
