I lived at the Pointe for a little over a year and I really enjoyed it. It has quite a few positives.... - The property is very pretty - The management is extremely nice. - Any maintenance issues were handled quickly and efficiently. - Size of the apartment was great and who doesn't want indoor laundry!! - The gym, while small, is nice, clean and a nice plus. - Oh, and they allow pets! There are a couple of negatives. This is why it did not get five stars from me.... - The cabinets throughout are very old and could use updating for the price you pay for the apartments. - I love, love, love all the trees but keep Windex in your car. The sap is a pain in the a--. - I feel like the apartments are a bit pricey. I also feel like prices in Fairfield are higher then what they should be. All of that being said, I would definitely rent here again. I did read a previous comment about the deposit. Here is the low down on getting all of your deposit money back. If you don't want them to clean the carpets for the next tenant, then don't walk on them. If you don't want them to paint the walls for the next tenant, don't touch them. If you don't want them to have to clean the place when you leave, then clean it like a pro. The cleaning part is a tricky one. We live in California where expectations from the government are high. If you do not leave the apartment clean enough for California's standards, any complex manager is obligated to have it professionally cleaned. Do yourself a favor, opt for the move out clean through the management office and save yourself the time and trouble of cleaning it yourself. I know that cleaning is the last thing I want to do when I've been packing and loading a truck. Don't make the mistake of leaving it filthy though, that might cost you. read more

The pointe has decent apartments compared to the others we looked at in Fairfield. They do need to be updated with better quality appliances and fixtures. What I am really unhappy about is the maintenance. It is hard to get them to come to your apt. When they do come, they never really fix anything the first time. My ac broke down during a heat wave. They came to "fix" it. They replaced the thermostat, but did nothing to the actual ac. The same thing happened when our dish washer and garbage disposal broke. read more

Yvette gave me a tour of the property and she was an absolute delight to talk with! She explained everything and we had a great time talking through the application process and such. I liked the unit layout and Yvette helped me envision what my unit would look like and helped placing imaginary furniture ;) As long as Yvette is working there I am seriously considering moving in. read more

I have only been living here at the Pointe since June, 2014. I am blessed to be living here. I feel that the staff is exceptional, from the office management, to the guys taking care of the grounds. Everyone here is very friendly, professional, and accommodating. The entire apartment complex is very well cared for and maintained. It feels very nice living here. I feel very safe here as well. I know that no place is perfect, or invulnerable, but the Pointe is definitely tops in my book. If you know of anyone looking for a place to live, come on down, and check it out for yourself. Plus, there's ample parking always, and if you know what I'm talking about, you can appreciate that a lot. read more

I'm a resident who enjoys living here. The staff is wonderful, with the exception of JB. When dealing with people, she doesn't come across as warm, friendly or helpful. There have been times when she makes it feel like you're a bother. I have learned other residents feel the same as I do. The one ray of sunshine is Yvette. Always greeted by her contagious smile and warmth. And always helpful. I will go out of my way to now avoid JB and only deal with Yvette. JB should take some time to learn from Yvette as to what customer service is. Maintenance crew is awesome! The five star rating is for Yvette, Ben, Alex, and Abel! read more

I'm so blessed to be living in the Pointe Apts because all of the entire staff has great customer service towards the residents here and when you put in a maintenance request for something to be done in your unit, they get right on it. It's expensive here but so are other nice and well maintained apartments. At the Pointe, they offer much more for the expense with more amenities then other apartments in Fairfield. I also feel very safe here and they have social gatherings twice a year for the residents to get to know one another. It's so relaxing to lounge, read, enjoy a free cup of coffee in their lounge when I want to get out of my apartment for awhile. My family are so happy I'm living here. I've been here over five years from being a former home owner. I gave up my gym membership because I use the gym here and the pools and hot tub. They also have a tennis court and much more. read more

The worst thing about here is having to be woken up most days around 8AM-10AM by leaf blowers being so close to your paper thin windows on the bottom levels of the apartments. That's your alarm everyday. Paper thin windows have lead to so many bugs entering through there. We asked for them to fix the doors as they were very squeaky and loud when opening/closing them that they entered our apartment to fix them when we weren't even home and didn't notify us!! read more

I have been at the Pointe for a little more than a year now, and my experience has been interesting to say the least. The office staff, and maintenance crew have been nice and pretty attentive. The neighbors are the worse I have ever experienced in any complex I've lived in. The positive attributes of the complex is definitely the size of the units - very spacious living quarters and nice floor plan designs. I also like the location - tucked away on the side of the hill in a residential neighborhood gives it a more "home like" appeal. The negative aspects - the walls are paper thin!!! Which leads me back to the neighbors! There is absolutely NO privacy in these apartments. I can hear my neighbors coughing, talking, and every other type of "noise" you can imagine!! If you decide to move into this complex, choose your unit wisely! I think the upper level section of the complex is a much better location than the lower...That's my 2 cents! read more

I love living in the Pointe Apartments in Fairfield. This is the best apartment that I have ever lived in. Many say it's expensive but look at all of the amenties they offer. It's well worth it. I get along well with my neighbors. Everything is so wonderful and the staff is excellent. I've been living here over 2.4 yrs and would like to continue renewing my yearly lease. I feel safe living here and they really keep the place and surroundings up. Since living here, I cancelled my local gym membership because the Pointe has their own gym and three swimming pools. The lounge area is so relaxing to sit around in where they ofter free cookies and coffee on a daily basis and suckers for the children. They even have a vending machine if you want to purchase soft drinks. read more

I have lived at The Point Apartments for several years.While it is in need of updating in the kitchen and bathroom areas I have really enjoyed my time here.I like my neighbors.I feel safe here.The office staff has always been friendly and responsive to my requests and my needs.Since I am retired I spend a good deal of time walking the complex with my dog.I don't see crime at the complex that others have eluded to.While their have been incidents I don't think it is unusual for a complex this size.I would definitely recommend The Pointe Apartments to others. read more

First of all, the office staff is FANTASTIC. Erin helped me with issues way above and beyond what I expected and I appreciate it so much. The office and maintenance are kind, considerate and efficient. I like the gated feature and it was very quiet. However, the property is not luxury Apts like advertised. Kitchen old and tired. Indoor pool difficult to get in and out for people who have ambulatory issues. Never was able to use car wash. All things that sold me on living there. Then when rent up to 1800.00 for a small 2 bedroom apt, where you pay for water, garbage and sewage besides all your own utilities, that did it for me! Had to move. read more

I currently live at the Pointe apartments. It isn't too bad. I've lived in much nicer,reasonably priced apartments that had more updates on their kitchens,bathrooms,and bedrooms. First off, the Windows are horrible! When we first moved in, they always stuck and were hard to open. Not to mention in the winter time the condensation on the Windows causes water to come inside on the window sill. Also, the kitchen looks like crap. The counters are dingey....the cabinets look like they were just re-laquered around the edges. The stove is way out of date. They shouldn't have given themselves a title of luxury apartments. I lived at the Pointe for a year. For the rent you pay for this place you are better off renting a house! You pay as much for a house anyways. The only thing that brought me to this place is the location and the size of the units inside. It was close to work and my parents. The staff is attentive but do play dumb. There was a crime in the complex at the times I lived there and police cars driving in almost everyday. The apartment complex surely needs to be updated. The Kitchen & bathroom is horrible almost like trapped in the 80's. I had bad mice problems, spiders and other creepy crawlers in my apartment. I ended up paying more than needed. So just yesterday I received a bill stating I owed a difference. The Pointe staff not once called me to verify my address and I moved out almost 3 months ago, but they sure called me for other things that I didn't need to know or just random. I remember giving them in person my new mailing address and of course the address was incorrect so it put me to collections. How does that happen when I was not informed or aware. Thinking that this whole time I was done with that place. Come to find I owed more. I say this, if you are charging people way to much for rent at least update the apartment complex and hire people who know what they are doing. read more

I liked the location of the apartment, pool and sauna. However, Someone had access to the mailbox once and stole my mail causing a huge hassle due to identity theft and fraud.Did the managers do anything? I don't know. They didn't seem too concerned when I asked if it was reported. They eventually locked the mail room..My biggest issue is I feel like they try to rip you off. When I moved in, I vacuumed the carpets and had a vacuum full of dirt! They said that it was cleaned by professionals before moving in so I had to pay $90+ when I moved out. They cannot show a proof of receipt! Cleaning fee is $155... Meaning there should be no streak of anything inside the oven according to the manager. That seems very impossible especially when the oven is probably 10 years old!!! She kept saying to not even bother cleaning it coz they're very strict???? Now I want to visit the new tenants and check whether they actually cleaned it they way they described it! I must say I got lucky to be out of the lease a little bit earlier but instead of prorating me on the day they wanted the keys back, they charged me for 6 more days! According to the manager, I had two choices. first is to stay until my real lease ends and pay more, or they need the key ASAP and pay less (but not prorated to the day they wanted the key back!) because suddenly there was one free apartment aside from mine. I think that is just so wrong! Make sure #1 ask them a proof of receipt for carpet cleaning before moving in... Or clean the carpets and show it to them if it's got a lot of dirt! #2 take pictures of the apartment including the ovens, counter tops etc and maybe give them a copy of it. Whatever you do, DO NOT rent here! So I guess I'll just start at the beginning. We chose these apartments because for Fairfield its on the right side of the freeway, its gated, and the apartment was spacious with a back deck for our dog. Initially upon moving in we were told because my husband is a teacher that our security deposit would only be $200 because its something special they do for teachers. This ended up being entirely untrue, he didn't meet the 'credit qualifications' so our security deposit ended up being somewhere around 2700$. Upon moving in it just got SO much worse. We get a note on our door one day which says we've paid too much rent so they reimbursed us money. We then get another letter saying that we still owe money and now its late. We go down to the office and discuss it and it turns out they had made a mistake with reimbursing us money in the first place, but nobody could say they made a mistake, it must have been magic, they have no idea how that happened.Our next door neighbor would scream all the time just the most random creepy stuff, being 8 months pregnant at the time I was worried so we went down to the front desk to ask if our neighbor was safe. They told us we had nothing to worry about and that the guy was just an ex veteran. Well that was a complete lie because our downstairs neighbor told me the next day that he had filed numerous complaints against the guy and that he had threatened numerous tenants in the apartment, we heard his from 3 different people. The next day I come out of my house to go on a walk when there are two police officers with their guns drawn telling me to get back inside. Lovely, I go back inside and later found our our wonderful next door neighbor had been forcefully evicted. But nothing to worry about, not a threat right? OKAY.This guy comes back numerous times and lurks the bottom steps until one day somehow the top floor floods, flooding our downstairs neighbors as well. The guy went and broke back into the apartment and disassembled the washer and dryer, and then ran them. It can't get worse right? OH IT CAN. So we get new downstairs neighbors when one day I go outside because I think I smell smoke, well the brand new downstairs neighbors apartment caught fire, their dryer I guess just caught on fire because the pointe literally never cleans out the ducts that collect tons of dryer lint, you could literally see it blowing out of the vents ALL THE TIME. So I come out, keep in mind NOBODY GOT US the apartment was literally on fire and nobody came up to check on us and NONE OF THE FIRE ALARMS WENT OFF. At this point my husband, myself and our NEWBORN BABY have to run down the stairs past the billowing smoke and wait at least 2 hours before the firefighters cleared us to go back in. So that was fun. Can't get any worse your saying? Well you once again you would be wrong my friend. Upon moving out, keep in mind we only lived here 6 months, they then took out $600 of our security deposit! They also refused me a move out inspection in the first place, (probably because this is the scam they run every-time) claiming 'they usually don't do one' even though legally I was supposed to get one. It was the most awful experience I've ever had, oh also if your moving there for the fact that its gated keep in mind the gate is ALWAYS BROKEN at least 5 out of the 7 days. Long story short DON'T DON'T DON'T, and if you do, wait until you move to leave the review. read more

I have recently moved out of The Pointe apartments. In fear of retaliation per this review, I have elected not to give my identity away as I would like to receive my deposit back in full. To start with I will say this, I am serving my country currently as active military. I have two issues with The Pointe apartments. The first being the rent, it is very excessive given the poor grade of amenities, an example of this would be the bathtubs, which are small and shallow. The units are very dated and aesthetically have an 80's feel to them. In my opinion I believe that for such an excessively high rent that the units should look and feel at least somewhat contemporary. My final issue with The Pointe was the maintenance. I got to know the maintenance man, his name is Ben. Ben is a very nice guy and he tended to my issues satisfactory. The problem is that the maintenance response is very slow. After talking with Ben I was informed that he is the sole maintenance man for The Pointe; an apartment complex numbering approximately 300 units. To myself and many others I am sure, this is unacceptable customer service. Regretfully, I cannot not recommend The Pointe apartments. Proud to Serve. read more

Went for Easter Brunch. They had an outstanding brunch. We were a party of 7 and service was great. The omelet station (manned by the owner Antonio) was delicious. Instead of getting tiny, tiny pieces of condiments in the omelets, they were cut to a larger size where you could actually taste them. Eggs Benedict - delicious! Dessert table - to die for!!! I don't normally write reviews, but since people will be making a lengthy commitment when moving, I'd thought I would give you my two cents. Unfortunately, on the balance, I would recommend for the price you think about an alternate complex. The office staff is very friendly and pretty helpful. The maintenance staff is also pretty responsive and helpful. The problem is that as mentioned in other posts, the apartments are old, and cheap. Really cheap. The windows are paper thin single pane, the front door has a half inch gap around a mediocre grade door, the appliances are contractor grade, you can hear pretty easily through the ceiling/walls. Worst of all to me however, the three pools the complex boasts of, are usually filthy, and the heater in the indoor pool seems to be perpetually on the fritz. The hottub jets work maybe half the time, and the indoor pool facility is not really that clean. The upgraded new fixtures/appliances and surfaces (kitchen counters/laminate floors/paddle switches) in the apartments are also bottom of the barrel and totally not worth the money to upgrade. The company that manages the utilities billing (Yes Services- even a silly name, right?) is totally pathetic and I have had to fight both account errors and late fees every month I have lived her for the past six months. The price is really way too high for facilities of this quality. As I said, I would keep shopping unless you get them to take about $400 off every apartment in here. One nice perk...there is a half decent gym that you can manage a full body workout in. Unfortunately, the hours on the gym are limited, and they deadbolt the mailroom until about 8am I think. Really...a mailroom that is not open 24 hours? Frequently I am unable to get mail before work...I know this is a minor annoyance, but I already have to key into the mailroom, why deadbolt it? Oh and lastly, the front "gate", does not keep non residents from both roaming the grounds and using the indoor pool facilities. I hope to move out before the end of my lease as it simply isn't worth it to pay this much every month. read more
