I tried the shrimp and grits with cheese and it was absolutely divine! After hours of airplane snacks it really brought us back to life. The ladies at the table next to us the last time we went had them and they really caught my eye. All and all would go back when we're in Rochester again on business.

My sister arrived first and was able to get a booth in the front corner. Truth be told, it was frigid. But I do imagine the servers running around truly appreciated it. Nicole was our server. My son was the last to arrive, but Nicole (& other servers) made sure my sister and I were content while waiting. We had coffee and tea and then we all ordered. I had the Sloppy Frittata which was a take on a Garbage Plate and it was amazing- plenty for two days. My son ordered the omelette with kielbasa and Swiss and my sister the English muffins with egg, spinach, artichoke and Hollandaise Sauce. The ambiance was your typical, hopping diner style crowd and it will definitely not be our last time there. Deciding what to choose was difficult and the service was absolutely amazing!

I can confirm that the shrimp and grits are wonderful as well as the waffles, home fries and everything else that we have tried which is pretty much everything. My aunt raved about the catfish nuggets. Their chicken and waffles are served with wings not tenders so that is also a big hit. The shrimp and grits feature jumbo shrimp, not the small ones, and the portion is large enough for two of us to split. Our family hosted a small gathering here in the fall and we recently went back, as a couple and had an amazing experience. I had not previously heard of this restaurant prior to my niece planning and making the recommendation, but we are so happy that we did. The food is nothing short of phenomenal. Did I mention that it is flavorful and delicious? Can I elaborate on how overly nice everyone on the staff is from the owner, to the wonderful people working in the kitchen. The atmosphere is modern with great vibes. The music is loud, but lends itself to a fun vibe. The mimosas are strong and a decent pour. Lots of good things to say about Vault, but the bottom line is that it is more than worthy of a visit. I have read other reviews comment on the wait. We have never experienced a long wait times. However, the dining room is not super large, so if you go on a Saturday or Sunday maybe use common sense and know that you'll be waiting longer during peak times. We dined midweek and waited no time to sit since there weren't many people and no more than 15-20 minutes for our meal. Our server, this time, could have been a little more prompt as it took her about 15 minutes to appear from the back to take orders for my table and another one. We have parked on the street during visits. Parking is not the most ideal, but we have managed to easily find a spot. All good things have been experienced during our visits. Add this to your restaurant rotation because we certainly already have! We like it.
