Kids rolling cars and shopping carts over toes. Everything was thrown all about, so you just entered a room into total disarray. Parents and kids not removing their shoes as asked. Pushing. Shoving. If you can get there when it's empty, a total pleasure. Otherwise I'd say skip.

We will never be coming in again, and definitely don't recommend it to anyone.

There's also a playground. Though well serviced by roads (not all conservation areas are), the trails are badly maintained with many potholes. Walking out of the Boyd Conservation Area is more rewarding as the Humber Trail, which is pleasant and well maintained trail, runs north to Boyd North and beyond. They're open daily mid-June to early September, and weekends mid-May to mid-June and mid to end September.

They were very relaxed about the whole process. I just put down my deposit and could take up until the week before the party to decide on a package. They let me customize my package for some very small fees (to get a bigger cake, add a mylar balloon, etc.) and were very flexible to enable me to accommodate what I wanted for my son's birthday. The place was clean and empty when we got there. It accommodated everyone in our party, which included a big family, lots of friends, and school chums and their parents, too. Lots of room for coats, loot bags, gifts, party supplies, etc. The staff was amazingly helpful, kept refreshments coming (because of the awesome Deluxe Bounce Package we got), helped serve the cake with the expertise of people who have done this a lot, and they didn't push us out the door when our time was up, as we were doing our best to get out on time! One of the best things about it was the fact that you get the whole place for your party, no sharing with strangers, and the location was amazing, with lots of free parking. The kids had a blast and I will forever go back there for any future birthday parties for my little monsters! Thank you, Bounce N Play! It was amazing!!!!!

Recent renovations have really improved the play area for children. The splash pad is always a hit…read morein the summer and the basketball courts are free from holes and broken asphalt. Grass is always green and flowers are planted on a yearly basis with trees (though small) dispersed through the area. There are a number of soccer fields that get used to capacity when leagues are in play. During the winters months the ice rink is well maintained by city staff with a zamboni and public skating is supervised. Rocks outlining the rink make for a nice natural display while providing plenty of seating space. There are some picnic tables under a shaded area by the playground for those needing to eat some food or escape the sun in the summer. At night the whole park is lit well and there is never any worry when passing through.

After exchanging a couple of emails with the establishment I was able to buy "10 day passes" for around $70 US ( in the lobby area) in The Fitness Center is open M-Saturday and opening and closing times change depending on the season and days of the week. The Fitness Center equipment is a bit out dated but serves the purpose so I was happy with that. They have showers, sauna and lockers available to use if you need them ( bring your own lock). If you are in the area this is a great place to get a workout in without having to jump through hoops or paperwork from bigger gyms.

Attended a wedding here in late June for one of my gf's besties…read more The venue itself is absolutely beautiful with a quaint, outdoor terrace for ceremonies and a massive dining hall for receptions (adorned by double bars and washrooms on both ends. This wedding was quite big and although it was very spacious for the guests, admittedly, it was slightly hard seeing (and hearing) the bride and groom as they were on a raised center cove that was slightly walled off on the sides. The mics were also dying I think and needed the batteries changed out. Food-wise, it is a different story. 10 course chinese food dinner which you would think is pretty standard but it was actually quite hit or miss. I understand that portion control is typically a judgement call made by servers when they come around but our servers were quite inconsistent portioning out the food (at least at our table). I got 1 strand of jellyfish w/ my suckling pig. Multiple guests at our table also got uncooked e-fu noodles on their plate when the noodles came around (the noodles were literally crunchy still LOL). Fried rice was very bland. Crispy chicken was overcooked to smithereens. The guy sitting next to me had several shells and cartilage pieces in his soup that he had to pluck out haha. The rest were pretty good. So like I said, it hit or miss items. I found the bartenders on the left side of the venue to be far more professional and knowledgeable. Some of the bartenders working the bar on the right side of the venue were giving sass to a lot of guests (especially when they didn't know how to make simple drinks) which I was ok with but I could see a lot of guests didn't appreciate the added sass. For late night grub, the burgers were actually not bad! As a recommendation to the kitchen staff management (in case they're reading this), I know it's just late night grub, but if you gave the servers at the late night bar a grill to melt the cheese on the patties that would be awesome. They were there serving poutine and compiling the burger toppings anyways! Melted cheese on those late night sliders go a long way! TL;DR Amazing venue, food hit or miss. Would recommend for the venue alone (but perhaps explore w/ a diff cuisine or dinner vendor?)
