Attended a wedding here in late June for one of my gf's besties…read more The venue itself is absolutely beautiful with a quaint, outdoor terrace for ceremonies and a massive dining hall for receptions (adorned by double bars and washrooms on both ends. This wedding was quite big and although it was very spacious for the guests, admittedly, it was slightly hard seeing (and hearing) the bride and groom as they were on a raised center cove that was slightly walled off on the sides. The mics were also dying I think and needed the batteries changed out. Food-wise, it is a different story. 10 course chinese food dinner which you would think is pretty standard but it was actually quite hit or miss. I understand that portion control is typically a judgement call made by servers when they come around but our servers were quite inconsistent portioning out the food (at least at our table). I got 1 strand of jellyfish w/ my suckling pig. Multiple guests at our table also got uncooked e-fu noodles on their plate when the noodles came around (the noodles were literally crunchy still LOL). Fried rice was very bland. Crispy chicken was overcooked to smithereens. The guy sitting next to me had several shells and cartilage pieces in his soup that he had to pluck out haha. The rest were pretty good. So like I said, it hit or miss items. I found the bartenders on the left side of the venue to be far more professional and knowledgeable. Some of the bartenders working the bar on the right side of the venue were giving sass to a lot of guests (especially when they didn't know how to make simple drinks) which I was ok with but I could see a lot of guests didn't appreciate the added sass. For late night grub, the burgers were actually not bad! As a recommendation to the kitchen staff management (in case they're reading this), I know it's just late night grub, but if you gave the servers at the late night bar a grill to melt the cheese on the patties that would be awesome. They were there serving poutine and compiling the burger toppings anyways! Melted cheese on those late night sliders go a long way! TL;DR Amazing venue, food hit or miss. Would recommend for the venue alone (but perhaps explore w/ a diff cuisine or dinner vendor?)

Great venue for holding corporate gatherings and parties, weddings, gala, conferences, fundraising…read moreevents, etc. They have 2 bars, one at the reception and one inside the venue; both of high quality. I strongly recommend trying their Espresso Martinis. I attended a gala here and it was perfectly organized. The appetizers. Entrée and dessert were delicious and perfectly decorated.

We made a call, and it was the best decision we've ever made. There are two numbers to call, both are answered promptly. I was given a quote on the spot, and let me tell you it was a deal. From beginning to end, planning was made a breeze as Jey made everything so seamless. It is stressful trying to plan your big day but Jey made this an incredible experience for not only us but our guests and vendors as well. The options he has for decor, food, alcohol, in house lighting and speakers, table numbers, and so much more are endless. You won't even need to book additional decor (did I mention he has a floral arch and a piano?). Jey is a busy man, but he remains attentive to your needs and wants for your event. We were amazed at his willingness to help and adjust if there is something missing. His staff are also top tier and can handle a CROWD. (Especially the bartender that night, he held it down) On our event day, not only did Jey help the floor manager throughout the event, he was also monitoring the event ensuring that everything is going as planned and really going the extra mile to ensure that the guests are satisfied. Our guests very thoroughly enjoyed their food and desserts, beautifully set up by the team at Claireport. Thank you Jey for everything and we will come back to you for more anniversaries, birthdays or any other event we'd need your help with. You and your staff are amazing. You truly have an eye and your passion shows through your attentiveness and willingness to help ensure any event is as seamless as possible.

We had come here for Afternoon Tea on a Friday at 12:00 pm for two people; it was $24.00 plus tax,…read moreper person. We each received our own pot of tea, which included unlimited loose leaf tea. Included in the meal were tea sandwiches, a variety of scones, and desserts. We loved all of the food items that were available for us to eat! The tea sandwiches were very fresh, with egg salad, cucumber and cream cheese, and turkey available. We were impressed with the presentation, along with the deliciousness of each piece. In regards to the scones, we were given a few different varieties, all of which were tasty, and fresh. I loved the cheese scone, along with the blueberry scone. The jam and cream on the side was the perfect touch to each scone, adding that 'wow' factor to each bite! We loved how soft the scones were, a definite plus when eating something that delicious. The desserts were all homemade, and quite immaculate; butter tarts, cookies, and brownies; very tasty! All of the food items were well-prepared, presented, and excellent! We were told that every item we had tried that day was homemade, which was a definite plus; we could tell that a lot of hard work was put into each food item that was prepared for us! In terms of the décor, we loved how simple, yet elegant, all of the items in the shop were. There were a lot of different items that I had never seen before, such as the stacked books with the words on the side, very creative! Customer service was top-notch; Maria was pleasant and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome during our entire stay at the café. I would highly-recommend the Afternoon Tea at this café; you will definitely get your money's worth, everything was top-notch, one of the best that I've ever been to!

From the guests perspective:…read more I attended a wedding and reception held at this banquet hall over the past weekend and I can definitely say, this hall is impressive! The entire lobby is done in a neutral marble and dark hardwood which lends itself easily to any colour scheme. Located on either side of the lobby are cascading staircases which I believe, lead to the bridal suites. There appears to be only one main room which can be divided into two and used for separate events. I think what surprised me the most about this was that, during the reception, very little was heard from the other room even though their party was in full swing, it didn't interfere with the speeches that were going on in our room. Each day the rooms were set up beautifully and I'm sure, to the bride's delight. The wait staff ensured that all guests were attended to and moved seamlessly throughout the room removing dishes and keeping the place in order. The food on both days was fantastic although, since the first day was prepared by family, I can only rate the hall on the second day. The meal consisted of salad, bread rolls, a penne pasta which appeared to be in a rosé sauce and the main course of either salmon or chicken breast stuffed with feta and spinach. I opted for the latter and I have to say, it was delicious! The wait staff came around to each table with chafing dishes and served the guests individually. Unfortunately, this created an inconsistency in the amount each person received. While the table next to us received a hearty serving of salad and pasta, the guests at our table received a VERY minimal amount leaving most of them asking for more. The same went for the sides that accompanied the main course. I will give them this though, everything was cooked perfectly. Overall, the hall is beautiful, the staff are attentive and a good time was had by all.
