From their facebook and the article I got the vibe it was a Cocktail Lounge/Bar with live music etc. We came on a Friday night, there was a good amount of people in the bar. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits enjoying their drinks. We sat at the bar and the bartender Julian helped us. He was very friendly and approachable. I order the Suga Suga How You Get So Fly (it is an espresso martini with a cinnamon rim and a brown sugar syrup) my husband got the Mr. M Berry. Unfortunately I did not like my drink, I drank my husband's drink. His drink was good. Mine tasted very syrupy and artificial in flavor. We decided to stay for one more drink to leave on a good note. I ordered a Tequila Old Fashion (not on the menu) and my husband got Moxie's 4x4. These were a lot better than our first drink. For my old fashion it was very thick and syrupy, but I let the ice melt for a while and it was a better texture. I plan on coming back with some girlfriends and maybe trying some new drinks. As well I think I would like when they have live music more. They were playing really loud club music. Rap and R&B. Don't get me wrong I like that music. But not at a Cocktail Lounge Bar. I was hoping for something a little more relaxing and sensual. Dimmer lights and music to match that vibe. I know it's new so maybe they are still trying to adjust the overall aesthetic. Overall it was a 4/5 maybe a 3.5/5. I will give a more updated review my second time around with the live music and other drinks. Bartender and service: 5/5 Prices are reasonable. Bar is clean and well kept. Menu: 1/5. They are hard to read and flip pages.

They had live music tonight and the band Candice & The Biz Casuals were playing and they were AMAZING. This lounge has plenty of seats, upstairs and downstairs. The waiter greeted us as soon as we sat. We got four drinks and they were all really good. I came specifically for the Banana Hammock, but they were out of coconut rum! Which took like 3 drinks away I wanted to taste. No big deal though! It's a reason to come back. Every drink came out perfectly and timely. Off the beaten path just a bit means that it's a bit quieter than other "Old Town" bars right after work and in the early evenings. It does pick up after 10pm most evenings and occasionally has a band, but not too often. A decent selection of premium liquors like bourbon if that is your thing, 6 draft beers and plenty of bottle selection. Standards like PBR, Highlife and Coors Orig. are $2.25 everyday. No need to look for a special. Lucky's just hits all the right notes for me. Service slowed to a crawl, and we eventually learned that our waitress had been sent home by the manager even though the bar was packed on a Friday night. A young server, only two weeks into the job, was left to take over, and unfortunately, he had no idea what he was doing. Another waitress stopped by to help but admitted she usually works upstairs in the restaurant and didn't know the cocktail menu either. The shift in service quality from the first round of drinks to the second was very jarring. There was live music, but the sound system wasn't great, so it didn't add much to the atmosphere. We did order desserts from the upstairs restaurant, which were a nice finish, but by the end of the night it was clear the staff was overwhelmed. As we left, we even saw the manager outside looking exhausted, which made us feel bad for the whole team. Overall, while the drinks were solid and the JoJos worth trying, the experience was inconsistent and stressful. Maybe we just got caught up in an off night of drama, but I wouldn't recommend Dockum for more than one drink.

Our small group of 3 already bought 8 drinks and been there for maybe an hour and they told us we need to leave because they have a reservation coming in... When we got up there were 4 booths empty, and all the small tables were empty and half the bar.... I think they told us to leave because it was like 30 mins since we ordered our last drink.
