It's a rather small menu but delicious, nonetheless. The staff was INCREDIBLY friendly and so helpful. We walked by in the afternoon and put our names down for dinner and they were so accommodating giving us a PRIME spot outside where we can stare at the absolutely spectacular views! There were actually customers that snuck in and sat on the patio right as we were going to be seated and the staff politely told them they had to wait for a table and got both us and them sat. I absolutely appreciate when staff steps up to make sure that everyone is honored. I am a sucker for scallops and would 100% order these again. They were seared perfectly (not overcooked). I wanted a little something more with my 3 scallops and the truffle parmesan fries were EXCELLENT. I am also picky about my fries, I don't like fries that are battered, I prefer them smooth but crispy and these were exactly that! This was almost a year ago and I still think about this meal! We plan on returning to Queenstown and this would definitely be on the list!

It was a slow Sunday night, so we were seated promptly and provided with friendly attentive service. $37NZ Lamb Osso Buco...I'm not sure what part of the lamb I was eating, but it they were tasty tender pieces on the bone. The cous cous made a fine light starch which soaked up the juices nicely. $22NZ Moroccan Lamb Kebabs...the wife wasn't too hungry, so she ordered this appetizer/entree as her main course...these kebabs were seasoned perfectly and far more flavorful than my Osso Buco. They should turn this into a main course! Unfortunately I didn't get to eat here again, but I would definitely eat here again on my next visit.

I have been reasonably comfortable with my order over the years but branched out today and changed. I rolled with a baby chicken pita with hummus, tabbouleh, spinach, cabbage and topped off with all of their sauces (hot and mild chilli, mint yoghurt and garlic tahini). It was perfect. My insides always feel so happy after a visit, it really is good clean food (certainly worth a visit if you've had a large night on the town!). Everything is fresh, colourful and delicious. $8 for a baby pita which is more than enough for me. Today's visit was free, thanks to their loyalty number programme. Now to work on my next free visit, I'll be back on payday.

I'm not sure if the entrees change by the day/meal, but when I was there, the options were mostly Mediterranean (chicken tagine, mint yogurt meatballs, chickpeas, and various salads). All the ingredients were incredibly fresh and had wonderful flavors. I love the concept of slower and healthier foods being served in accessible and easy way, and Big Fig is a great example of that. I didn't get to try their coffees or desserts, but have heard great things about them.
