From the moment we arrived, our toddlers were wide-eyed with excitement, and the fun didn't stop. We explored exhibits featuring monkeys, hyenas, tigers, crocodiles, giraffes, and so many other animals -- each one more fascinating than the last. A highlight for our little ones (and us!) was getting to feed the animals -- it's such an interactive, up-close experience that they'll be talking about for a long time. But hands down, the most unforgettable part was the drive-through safari. Where else can a camel stick its head through your car window and nearly steal your taco bowl? This zoo is a perfect, family-friendly adventure with a personal, welcoming feel. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, memorable day trip. We'll definitely be back!

The entrance and exit could definitely use better guidance and traffic control. There also needs to be better signage throughout the farm showing where activities are located and where to go. It's not a huge area, but clearer directions would make the experience easier, especially for first-time visitors. The food service could also use some improvement. Standing in line to order and then waiting another 15-20 minutes for your food was a bit much. We noticed several people walking away rather than waiting, us included. They also had a general store and a snack area as well, that seemed the way to go. Now, onto the good stuff! **The animal experiences were absolutely amazing!** There were so many opportunities to interact with and feed the animals, including the horses and Highland cows. And let me tell you, **that horse is GREEDY!** He will literally come over to the cows' area and steal their carrots! We got quite a laugh out of that! The farm also has a lovely nature walk, a playground for the kids, and plenty of pumpkins to choose from. One of our favorite experiences was carving pumpkins right alongside the goats! They provided all the carving tools, so we could sit down, enjoy ourselves, and create our masterpieces with some very curious four-legged company. There was also face painting for the kids, with prices ranging from $10 to $25 depending on the design. A few things to know before visiting: Parking was $10, and you can purchase your tickets and activities online ahead of time, which I highly recommend, especially if you're going with a group. We spent approximately $40 per person, including taxes and a large pumpkin valued at $17 each. **Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time!** We went as a family, laughed, enjoyed the animals, carved pumpkins, and made some great memories together. It was an hour from Winston-Salem and a pretty scenic drive to the sanctuary. It is well signed so you know where to turn and go to park. The staff was friendly and once we checked in, we started exploring the animals. I got to pet so many exotic animals like kangaroos and alpacas. I really enjoyed petting the camel and cow. We did not pay extra to feed and play with the capybara's but I may do that in the future. Bring bug spray since you were in a wooded area with animals.

Our tour was great and very informative. Our guide was extremely patient with all the questions the little kids had. We got to see several different types of tigers and servals. They have some other animals there too, but some were either not out where we could see them or are nocturnal. Some of the stories about the animals are just heartbreaking but to be expected since they are all rescued animals. They had a spot with picnic tables where our group was able to eat after the tour before we left. One other thing to note if you come with a larger group - they only have 2 public bathrooms located in the gift shop. We had some long lines with all the kiddos, but we made it work.
