It's actually really good! I was surprised the overall rating was 4 stars. It should be much higher so I came to give it another 5. It sounds like a few people went in once and had a bad experience. As someone who has been going here for years, I will say only a couple of times have they been slow. Majority of the time everything is excellent. I'm happy that they are in the historic Belvidere mansion now. You're even welcome to take a trip up to the second and third floor if you'd like to see a historic home. It's a place I take family who come from out of town. You get a cool tea room experience and a trip back to the Victorian era. read more

We haven't been to The Pink House in a while, but today we stopped in for lunch. They were busy! But, we only had a short wait and were greeted promptly. Service was exceptional! We all had teas to drink, then ordered our lunches. I had the salad & soup and my husband enjoyed the Reuben sandwich with pimento cheese. My parents had the club sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich. Everything was delicious. Even my mom kept complimenting how good the food was! We'll definitely get back here more often! My family and I had an event in Claremore so we decided to have lunch here afterwards. We were so impressed with the staff and the whole experience. My mother and wife were so pleased to have gluten-free options and how deliberate they were and making sure that they didn't have to worry about cross-contamination. The sandwiches we all had were excellent, and my mother loved her baked potato and was impressed at how large it was. Finally, the house that this restaurant was in, was so impressive and fun to walk through. If you have the chance, check it out and experience a little bit of Oklahoma history. read more

The banana bread servings seem a lot smaller but on the plus side, the fruit salad is still amazing and I love the mix and match options on their menu. We took four out-of-towners here for lunch (and they all four travel the state extensively). Most recently, they had found Mac's in Skiatook and said it was their favorite place thus far on their travels. The Pink House trumped Mac's. Unsweet peach ice tea is to die for! The club sandwich is HUGE. I recommend the chicken salad or the turkey sandwich. And, always get a side of banana bread...even if it is skinnier. :) read more

Amazing food! I loved my salad that came with the meal. There were so many good hot tea varieties and it comes with cream and sugar! I tried my friends quiche and it was so good as well. Go for the setting, not the food. We were a party of 8. The hot tea selection was very diverse and each served very nicely and quickly. We had a good setting in a corner and the place soon filled up as we were there right at the lunch hour. The appetizers were good - hummus and bread, came with sliced cucumbers. Also spinach/artichoke dip, average though a plus for the homemade and warm tortilla chips served with. No complaints, both gone in minutes. The whole experience was nicely paced, so good job there Jenna, our waitress. Asked for a cup of tomato basil soup to come before our lunch, with the appetizers please - didn't happen. The slightly above body temperature soup came withe meal. It was okay, but no distinctive flavor to it - no basil present.. One had the reuben on white rye which was good, not the 'Wonder bread' soft swirled rye often marketed as 'rye'. So that's a point in their favor, but the meat was thick sliced, 1/4" thick rather than shaved. To have eaten it all, surgery would have been required to open up the sandwich, remove the meat, cut it into edible size and replace on the bread...lol I had the 'chicken enchilada' which is a white enchilada concoction with little if any of the usual suspects in the spice rack present. Nothing that said 'enchilada' - served in a pasta dish, it looked good, but this too was served at body temperature. Goopy, but I did eat it all. We could have sent the soup, enchiladas, my wife's body temperature quiche back to the kitchen, but it was busy and our waitress was doing her best to keep up - good service, attentive, but to send back would have tipped the scales to the point everyone at our table would have been finished eating while the food was being rewarmed in the kitchen. Their banana bread was good, and the baked chocolate brownie was SO delicious. The coconut cream pie was the worst we've ever had anywhere, hands down out of a box, and the butterscotch bar/pie thing another had tasted like it was right out of a box. So...not a place to be avoided as the mansion is a nice setting to have tea and lunch, with good company we had fun. But there isn't anything distinctive about the food that would make us want to return. To summarize; We feel as lukewarm about it as our food was. read more

This is a lovely old Victorian home that has been turned into a tea house/restaurant. We had the ham and cheese quiche, stuffed backed potato, and a Cesar chicken wrap and it was all delicious! Came here on a very busy Mother's Day weekend; however despite how busy they were they accommodated us somewhat quickly. The over all service was so nice from the hostess sitting us to our server Taylor. The ambiance is a 100% tea house vibe although this beautiful landmark Belvidere Mansion could totally use a little more TLC. I appreciate the special menu for the holiday occasion. The food however wasn't anything to brag about. I ordered the Pesto Chicken sandwich which was just okay. The shortcake had strawberries whip cream which were perfect; however the biscuit was hard and crunchy rather than fluffy. read more

Wow! It was just a sandwich, but it was amazing. I had the Gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwich with green apple slices, cooked red onion, bacon, and balsamic vinaigrette. I added Turkey and bacon on a croissant. I also enjoyed the Chocolate Layer Dessert. Everything was amazing. I had the peach unsweet tea but heard they had a watermelon tea that they no longer serve. I visited The Pink House around Christmas for a family gathering / ladies lunch. Apparently everyone else in town had the same idea because the building was packed. The Pink House relocated to the Belvedere Mansion (which is not pink), and unfortunately there isn't much signage except for the door mat and a small sign on the front door. I was not aware of the move but found the correct location after a quick google search. The themes of this restaurant seem to be Victorian/Haunted Mansion/grandma's tea party....in the best way possible. The tables were packed tightly in multiple dining area with a few tables even set up in a hallway to accommodate everyone. There are two gender neutral restrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs. Go upstairs if you can, there is more stuff to see up there including a dress that HAS to be haunted. There's also a 3rd floor but I didn't venture up there. I ordered a seasonal tea (Gingerbread I think) and the broccoli and cheese quiche. The quiche came with a small side salad, fruit with dip, and a small piece of banana bread. The tea came in a personal tea hot and we had fancy tea cups. Nice little place to have lunch - the quiche was great and our server was friendly despite being super busy. I got the chicken salad sandwich, cheesy potato soup with banana bread. My tea was Raspberry Rooibos but high was very light and flavorful. Don't forget to your the historic upstairs of the Belvedere mansion which is free. The restaurant is housed in the old parlor and dining rooms. Beautiful architecture and mosaic tile floors. Made reservations for two. they were not busy so despite being early we were seated immediately. Unfortunately it was this tiny table in an entry way. So people were walking behind us constantly. The service was pretty lacking. Our waitress didn't tell us about the specials we just happened to see them as we were leaving. She didn't ask if we wanted dessert but it was the main reason I came so I asked her lol. The dessert was great. Food was ok. Nothing special. No refills. Also all the servers kept yelling at each other "30 mins till close. 25 mins till close." We were in the gift shop during this but I imagine this made the people still eating uncomfortable..(granted I get it, it sucks when you have to stay late because people don't pay attention to time it just came off sorta rude) I would go back for dessert and tea but I would skip the lunch personally. read more

Staff was super friendly. Was given seating options rather than just sticking me in a corner so I really appreciated that. Waitress was not as attentive as she could have been. Brought all the food to the table next to me (plus drinks) everyone around me was working on their food, and the waitress walked out of the area and forgot to turn to me to see if I was ready. When she did comeback a little over 5 min later she asked if I wanted something to drink, I did not, and she started to leave but I told her what I wanted to eat. The place was pretty busy. I didn't mind the wait I ordered their chicken salad sandwich. Chicken pineapple tomato pecans with romaine. I wish the bread had been artisan in stead of out of the bag sliced wheat or oats. Not easy holding the sandwich together with the flimsy bread. (Toasting the bread would have helped) While it was somewhat tasty, it was loaded with pepper! So much so as I only tasted peppered chicken. Pepper was not listed as a main ingredient, or I would not have ordered it. Think someone in the kitchen got carried away with the grinder. There was no evidence of tomato in this chicken salad either. Wish I'd taken a picture, there were so many black chunks in it, I wish there had been pecans by proportion instead. Then I waited and waited, so did the table next to me. Waitress came with checks for everyone, including me but I was not offered desert and asked to take one to go (the butterscotch one was amazing). She brought my check and left, didn't take the other tables payment either they must have waited 20-25 min just to leave. The sense I got was this is just how it was there. Other waitress all seamed to work the same way. The staff is super nice, but I think it's difficult to navigate the place easily for them and it's possible they all work the rooms, not dedicated to any room in particular. I could be wrong but that was how I think it was. Ambiance was great, definitely stepping back in time, and in very good shape and obviously taken care of. read more

After a morning tour of the Philbrook Art Museum, my business associate and I agreed on an afternoon of exploring the Will Rogers Museum up in Claremore, OK. Since I was focused on driving north, Molly used my Yelp application to locate a place for lunch. With a giggle she announced that she had found "the perfect place" for us, and proceeded to give me directions to the Pink House. After winding around on some back streets of Claremore, we pulled up to a pink house.....with a sign out front announcing that this was a popular ladies tea house which is open for lunch and afternoon tea. Yeah, Molly was getting back at me for my taking her to a hole-in-the-wall barbeque shack the day before. The Pink House is the type of place where you go for little girls' tea parties, bridal and baby showers, and afternoon tea. *pinkies up* The walls inside of the restaurant are decorated with multi shades of vertical pink stripes. I kid you not, I thought I had stepped onto the set of a Victoria's Secret TV commercial. A quick look around the dining room confirmed that I was one of only two men eating there on this afternoon. It was clear that I was treading on hallowed ground, and so I decided to tread lightly with the smirky comments. The lunch menu had a nice selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, quiches, and lighter fare. I started with a cup of chicken tortilla soup, and added half of a hot ham & cheese sandwich, and a scoop of chicken salad. The food was excellent, and the meal was served quickly by a very friendly server who was delighted to see another man in the dining room. At the end of our meal we walked up to the cash register and met with Margo, the owner. She was very sweet, and extremely thrilled that two out-of-towners had used Yelp to locate her restaurant. We got into a long discussion about the benefits of Yelp reviews, and she was thankful for all of the information. I need to start off by saying that as a man this is one of those places that I refer to as being "fru fru". You are not going to get a big steak and potato here. You're not going to hear loud rock music being played while you yell across the table. What you WILL get is delicious food such as hummus, quiche, soups and sandwiches. I've been here with my wife twice and both times had an excellent experience. Our service was over-the-top friendly and personal. And you MUST get the butterscotch layer cake for dessert. A couple of locals told us we needed to eat at the Pink House.  When in a small town listen to the locals!  Turns out The Pink House is not pink.  I am guessing the business relocated at some point but kept its name.  It now resides in the first floor of the beautiful Belvidere Mansion.  When we arrived Saturday at @1:00 they were still very busy.  The wait was 15ish minutes.  The restaurant is basically tables in the living, dining, hall and study of a home built in the early 1900's.  Each table has a tea pot and silverware wrapped in pink cloth napkins.  Everything is older but clean.  The menu is simple sandwiches, wraps, salads and quiches.  They also have teas and desserts.  I ordered a mushroom and bacon quiche.  It came with a green garden salad covered in a delightful sweet Italian dressing, a fruit salad with the Pink house dip and a slice of banana bread.  I have to say it was all wonderful with one exception.  The quiche had maybe one piece of bacon and only a couple of sliced mushrooms.  Maybe I got a bad slice?  I noticed another table had bread pudding.  The waitress said she thought that was the last piece so we ordered the baked fudge.  She came back a minute later with what she said was half a piece of the bread pudding.  She explained she pieced it together and there would be no charge. What a wonderful surprise!!!  It has a caramel topping that is to die for.  Our baked fudge was served warm and gooey.  All of it was SO tasty!  This experience was like going to grandmas.  Everything is handmade served on mismatched plates in a comfortable atmosphere. read more

Upon arriving we (2 of us) were seated in a timely manner, but then we waited between 15-20 minutes for our drink orders to be taken, she's walked in the dining area around 3 times and had yet to address us. After she came over though and we had ordered our drinks and meals it came out really fast and delicious! I had the enchilada casserole (very tasty) and it came with a salad that was great and I got their house dressing and I'm glad I did. I waited and waited on her to show up again though and by this time the two of us were the only customers in the dining area. I wanted to order the baked fudge and the hostess was cleaning and asked if we needed anything and she said she would go find our waitress. About the cleaning, we were sat in the corner and there was another table in very close proximity being cleaned with windex being sprayed right towards our table, as we were eating, the windex was getting in our mouths and tickling our throats. (That basically ruined my meal :( )There were plenty of other tables to clean I'm sure, or spraying the windex away from our table and not towards. This is the second time we've had this waitress and she did the same thing last time. The waitress and everyone were so friendly but the service still lacked up to the standards of the great food being served. Pretty disappointed. read more

In Feb 2019 I reserved the Pink House for a special event I had to cancel with 10 days notice. I requested a refund and immediately told I would receive one. After no refund one week later I contacted the Pink house and was told it would take up to 30 days. Anyone working retail knows this is BS it takes moments to process a refund. After threatening a lawsuit and waiting 29 of those 30 days the refund was finally received. Please note I ate there the day I reserved the Pink House. I've been coming here for years for lunch with friends after classes! I always get the chicken enchilada casserole, and it is always perfection. The creamy salad dressing is one of the reasons I keep coming back, it is so good and velvety, as it sits atop a bundle of greens awaiting to be elegantly scooped into my mouth.
