I've used this lot many times over the years. Sometimes when I'm at the Convention Center, 2 other times for Catalina Express, and at least 6 times since 2011 while staying at Hyatt Centric at The Pike(previously an Avia Hotel). It's a public parking structure. So same rules apply, don't store anything valuable inside the car. The garage is not responsible for break-ins, yada yada yada. While I have seen teens on scooters and "pocket mini bikes" racing around inside the structure, and a few unhoused folks meandering through, I have also seen multiple patrols of security AND LBPD. The rates are fare, some places at The Pike validate. I get what people mean about being stuck in the "one way out" literal downward spiral to exit, but it has never been an issue for me. Perhaps because I am likely to avoid large crowd events and not put myself in that sitch. Overall, this parking structure has been a positive experience for me and I will use it again. Cheers! A great parking option for the LB convention center! The last few years, the convention center designated parking has gotten so backed up and crowded during events- The Pike structure is always quick and is just a short walk away. There was only one time I ran into an issue, being stuck at the exit for 15 minutes because of some sort of glitch with the gate, but all other times everything has been smooth. $15 for the day! read more

We reserved a spot at this parking structure in advance for the Long Beach Marathon. We parked on the roof and when we came back , we were stuck in a line of cars on the seventh floor, waiting to leave. We did not move for about 45 minutes. We ended up parking again leaving for an hour because there was no point in being stuck in a parking structure. The customer service rep on the phone said that only one lane to leave was open right now. If you see dozens of people reserving a spot in advance on a day, and you're aware that an event is going on, why wouldn't you staff appropriately or open more lanes to leave? Next year, I will park several blocks away and just walk. read more

Total garbage arrangement. You will go in circles and circles and circles on end and waste a good hour just to walk a block looking for parking in the structure and or around it. This location in terms of parking is an absolute disaster, and the engineers and by extension the local politicians who green lighted the project and gave it the go ahead should all be forced to explain to the public at large just what they were thinking. Don't park here for more than a couple hours unless you want your car vandalized and/or broken into . I'm a monthly Parker and have had my car broken into 3 times in less than a year . First , they tore off driver door handle to break into car ( $500 repair ) and last week they just busted out a window ( $700 repair not counting window tint ) . I don't keep ANY valuables in the car or trunk but that doesn't matter to drug addicted homeless zombies roaming the area . The staff tells you to file a police report and maybe the police will review camera footage but I can't get the police to even follow up with a phone call on my police reports let alone watch hours of video . So while the politicians will pat themselves on the back cooking the books and claiming crime is down , the tax payer is stuck paying $1,000's every year getting door handles and broken windows replaced . I am a member at Gold's Gym and have been since this location opens. The gym validates for 2 hours at this garage; however, this parking structure--which is owned by the City of Long Beach--cravenly attempts to get money fro gym members by any means necessary. Twice now I've come into the gym, validated my ticket before the two hours was up, and then reached the exit when the time has flipped over two hours because of traffic at the exit. The most recent time it showed literally one minute over the 2 hour window when I had validated 4 minutes before that! I am seriously considering cancelling my membership at the gym, and I have contacted my city councilperson. It's not good for tourism or business in downtown to have a parking facility that changes the rules. (It used to be that you had fifteen minutes between validating / paying and exiting the stucture, but when they installed new machines, they changed that without alerting regular tenants like my gym.) Given that this structure has a relationship with the city, such business practices are shameful. Caveat emptor. (That's buyer beware if you don't know old timey Latin phrases.) I intend to warn every.single. person I come into contact with that they should NEVER park at this facility. It's acutally a structural problem with any of the city-affliated facilities in the area. I had the same problem with the structure at the Aquarium after the Aquarium of the Pacific 5k--when traffic getting out of the structure is even worse. Shame on you, Long Beach. I went to Cinemark on June 7th, my movies started at 12:05 am. I went to the theater window twice due an error I made when purchasing online. When I went to exit the parking garage I was charged $17. I was told due to it being a special event day there was a flat fee parking rate. I didn't see any signs indicating there would be a $17 fee for parking. I didn't see any special event going on except for the small pop up shops that are there frequently which I have never paid $17 any other time they were there. I don't think going to see a movie being part of a special event parking. If you agree please write a review on how you feel about it. read more

I parked here for a concert I was going to at Marina Green Park as it was a relatively close walk and I usually always park at this garage for any other events going on in downtown LB. I actually had a prepaid ticket for parking there all day and it was quite easy to obtain. You go into the parking structure grab the ticket to get in and then where you pay for your ticket on the first floor there was a window with a lady that gave me my prepaid ticket to use when I left the structure. Note that you can only pay for parking via the first floor by the elevators when you leave as there is no attendees when you go to exit. Parking was easy, though getting out to leave felt like I went in a giant circle but once you figure it out it's easy. Parking structure has security driving around on golf carts as well. Also if you're here just to walk around and shop the pike restaurants as well as the movie theater will comp your ticket 1-2 hours depending on the restrictions. read more

This was not the parking structure that I intended to use when I went to Long Beach. I went to an expo at the Long Beach Convention Center, and I somehow ended up parking here. Turned out to be a good thing too. Would have ended up paying more if I had parked at the Long Beach Convention Center parking structure. The Pike Parking Structure was located less than a mile away from the Convention Center which was a short easy walk. Saved money and got a bit of exercise too!! Arrived about 11am, and there was a bunch of parking spots available. Parking spaces were roomy, and structure was clean. Location is not only close to the Convention Center, but also to many shops, restaurants, and the Aquarium. Would use this parking structure again in the future. read more

Came today on a Sunday to watch a movie and the parking structure was already at 100% capacity. I went all the way to the highest floor and I saw that they closed off the roof top. It was complete chaos inside as other cars were trying to hunt for parking. I ended up giving up and just went home as I missed most of the beginning of the movie. They should've put a sign outside that stated it was full. It was a waste of time and money for me. read more

I was concerned initially about parking in the garage because I read a review of the garage by a customer who stated their car was vandalized at the garage because the garage did not have security. However, I decided to park in the garage and saw security personnel patrolling the garage. I also saw that the facility had an open manned office which made me more comfortable with parking in the garage. On the day that I was departing to the airport and I went to the garage on Oct 23 to find my car and forgot where I had parked. I searched for my vehicle by foot for about 20 minutes without success. Luckily I saw a security person partrolling the area and asked for help with finding my car. The security person did help me find my car. Previously I had took some photos of my rental car which help us find the car because the photos showed the car and its distinctive back taillights and the yellow painting of the wall and parking spot. The security person told me each different parking levels are painted a different color to match each different level. For example, level one is orange and level two is yellow. i had went earlier today and i didn't have access to my card so i wasn't able to get a ticket and there was a line of cars behind me, i rang up support on the machine and they opened the gate for me to get in and i left the structure. when it was time to arrive to the gate to leave the structure, there's a machine to input the ticket to open the gate for you to get out, i didn't have a ticket since i wasn't able to pay for one, but the guy that was at the machines was very very rude and i was explaining my situation to him and he kept disregarding what i was saying. my cousin was also telling him the situation and the way he was acting was unprofessional. all i wanted was to leave since i couldn't get a ticket in the first place and especially since i had so many cars waiting behind me. and i ended up having access outside the structure for wifi to get my card and i PAID to get out which is ridiculous. please do better, an hour later i'm still upset about the situation. read more

The structure is right next to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Plenty of parking, spaces are big. Came here on NYE, there were a lot of people leaving at the same time. Instructions were to pay when we leave on the 1st and 2nd floor (cash or credit/debit). However, it doesn't say that you can also pay when you exit so there was a long line of people paying. Thankfully there was someone at the exit where I asked if we can pay directly at the exit. She said yes. So we did that instead of waiting. However, it's only credit or debit card if you pay at the exit. read more

The Pike Parking Structure is actually pretty good. It's clean, the location is good (the structure is by the outlets), and I thought we had an easy time getting in and out of the place. I was a little disappointed that we ended up paying $9, even with a 90 minute validation from Island's, but the location is prime. What do they always say? "Location, location, location." In any case, if I were in the area again, I wouldn't mind parking here. Our car wasn't stolen or damaged (we parked in a spot where the sun was shining on our car so our car was highly visible), and it was easy to pay for parking. They have a machine and it accepted our credit card quickly. Smooth and painless transaction. read more

They only validate 3.5 hours for a movie at Cinemark. We came just for a movie.. arrived 15 minutes before the movie started and left directly after the movie for a total of 4 hours and had to pay $6 even after validation. Movie theatre parking validation should be at least 5 hours. read more

My vehicle was stolen. Parking employees refer you to the city of Long Beach. Only cameras they have in the garage are on the top level. No exit cameras. For your money, you are not getting security, just a parking spot. Highly suggest another secure location for monthly parking. read more

OK now, Going in is very convenient and fast. But leaving ?? A roller coaster exit designed is the only exit from this parking structure?! Yes indeed.. Yet maybe very dangerous because there are no backup mirrors and cars are coming out of nowhere from level to level from these narrow turns. When there are no cars, you get sick from the ride.. round and round until you get motion sickness, or when it's busy, you get stuck. Literally stuck for an additional 15-20 minutes before you can get out! Here's another annoyance. With theater validation is free parking for 3 hours and $1.50 every 15 minutes. A dinner and movie will definitely go over 4 hours. That's $6 for parking. I want to explore more places but I really can't afford it with the parking fees. The shopping center's business is slow as it is, but with the parking fees, it makes me think twice about making additional stops to the other shops while I'm there. . I'm not being stingy. And yes, you do probably spend more money parking in LA. and Hollywood, but yet you are not LA. nor have the traffic or shops as they do in LA. BTW.. cash only! no credit cards! $25 friggin' dollars? REALLY? I ONLY parked here to patronize the Pike businesses, and because I decide to stay longer than 2 hours, it's $25 friggin' dollars? No thank you--EVER again. A couple of my friends got caught up in that also, until I helped them get wise. Valet is cheaper. Yes, valet is more economical! Park valet for $6 until midnight. Now if you're having fun at 11:55, you'll have to leave to retrieve your car, but that's a WHOLE lot better than $25. Not only did I have my car BROKEN INTO but when I paid for my parking at the pay machine using my credit card, the pay machine was tampered with, and my credit card information was STOLEN and used at various retail locations in Long Beach & LA county. In addition, the machine doesn't accept cash so you're left with no other choice than to let crooks STEAL your information. How can management allow this? How are there no security cameras in such a busy parking structure? This experience makes me want to stay away from this disgusting city. Reviewing the Pike VALET parking by the retail/restaurants between Gladstone's and PF Changs. So the free parking (with validation) was closed off apparently because it was full. So our option was to valet it or park it at the meters off Shoreline Drive. What a frggin' jip! Highway robbery I tell you. $6 for valet. I wasn't even there for an hour at Famous Dave's for lunch. Are you kidding me? Plus $2 to tip the valet guy. I would think that if you ate there at one of the restaurants, you could get a discount or even free parking at the valet parking. I'd still tip the guy, don't worry. But $8 to park for 50 mins sucks. Sorry Pike Place management...you're taking all my $$$$ for parking. SUCKS!!!!!! read more

This parking structure is really big and you can get lost. It is located right at the Pike outlets really close to the Nike and H & M stores. It is also right across the street from the Aquarium of the Pacific. If you go to the movies, make sure you validate your ticket so you can get free parking or so you don't have to pay as much when you leave. The only reason why I did not give all 5 stars is because at night it can be pretty sketchy. There are lots of homeless hanging around the structure and also roaming the parking levels. I am always walking nervously to my car at night. read more

What a joke. Went to the movies, got my ticket validated and they still tried to charge me $6 even though I was well under the 3.5 hours free parking mark. Woman on intercom was not helpful at all, she told me the validation did not register and my options were... A. Pay the $6 bucks B. Somehow back up from the gate. (very dangerous and illegal considering it's only one way traffic ) park again and go to theater to get revalidated. I was very polite during the whole interaction but the lady over the intercom was cold as Ice. Obviously you are pretty much forced to park here to shop or go to the movies but beware of this issue. Too many closed entrances. No middle stairs. Elevators only at one end. No pedestrian allowances (as in the people who park there). Slow access; lots of stopped cars and delays. First time visiting Long Beach in the am hours for a nice stroll, for some odd reason this was the only parking structure that was open and it's difficult to find parking in this city (such a nightmare). Once done tried to pay for parking when my ticket wouldn't read in the Pre-Paid Station (great probably due to early hours?) yet my company was able to get his ticket paid without an issue. Then we head into the exit and my ticket wouldn't read again, tried paying with debit card (unable to read debit and ticket). Desperately called the help button and a very lovely worker answer and she let me out without a problem. Thank you for having staff working at such early hours!! read more

This parking structure is pretty big. but obviously it can get super crowded on the weekends. The sucky part is that it's pretty expensive. even if you get a validation it's still high, that's a bit discouraging. At times it can get confusing when you are trying to find some parking because if you do not play close attention you will keep driving around and coming back to where you were and thinking it's a new level when it's really not. How do I know this you might ask? Well because it what happened to us when we came here lol. Good thing there is many elevators that you can use to go down to the first floor or just the stairs. read more

My truck was stolen from this parking garage. The monthly parking guy was very nice and helpful but that's where the helpfulness stopped. The parking people basically told us (1) the cameras they have in the garage do not record so they can't pull up security tapes, (2) they're not liable for any loss or damages so they can't help and (3) we can't get a refund for the monthly pass even though we're not using it BECAUSE IT WAS STOLEN FROM THEIR GARAGE. We paid for two monthly parking spaces and i'm obviously not parking my 2nd car here because the first one wasn't safe. The manager said they cannot issue a refund (based on customer service) because it's not their policy. We're clearly out of $140 and a $10k truck and left with nothing -- not even a call back. I would suggest not parking here monthly because there's no guarantee that your vehicle will be safe and if your car is damaged...too bad. i've parked in this structure many times, it can get confusing having you go round and round on the same level just read the signs up on the ceiling to help. There is no attendant when exiting you must pay at the ticket kisok on the first level and make sure you get your ticket back cause you need it to exit. They have 3 of them two take only credit cards and one in the middle takes cash. Again follow the signs to exit they are helpful to getting you to the freeway. Overall the best place to park when going to Pike in Long Beach. read more
