This valet place at Long Beach in front of PFChangs takes in a few hundred cars a day which I can only imagine is not an easy task to deal with so many peoples characters and types of cars (Electric, Hybrid, Exotic, no key, key, FOB, Foreign design, Vintage car etc...). When we bought in our car for the VIP valet parking area, 7 of the valet people surrounded the car. They promptly gave me us a ticket and said it will be well taken care of. Not to my shock, 6 valet young adults were not sure how to start or drive the car, until this one young adult valet (AKA Andy) came over (18-22 years old) and drove it away. He seemed to understand how to drive it. The cars internal/external cameras were on and you could easily see a very happy young adult driving a nice brand new exotic car. Instead of him parking the car 20 feet away where all the other cars were parked, he drove out to the street and about half mile away parked at a different parking structure. As he arrived several valet personnel and possibly his friends surrounded the car and took pictures. While we were concerned that one of them is going to test drive it, that never occurred. When I came out and asked where our car was they said the valet person took it to another parking structure. I was not shocked as my wife and I were monitoring the car live on video the whole time. In semi-frustrated voice I asked the manager to please bring the car back and park it in the VIP valet area. They did so promptly. I spoke to the supervisor/manager about the situation and he was very professional and apologetic. There was really no wrong doing, just an innocent valet person appreciating and wanting to drive in a nice exotic car. My recommendation is to please notify all customers to exactly where the valet personnel are taking the car as well as to please train staff to not text when driving and to always put on the seat-belt. While there are always areas to improve upon, overall their service and support was good ! ! While we were leaving there was loud inebriated (Drunk) lady yelling at 3 of the valet personnel to get her car. I am sorry you have to endure people like this. Keep trying to improve your patience to deal with the diversity of people. read more
