Came here for last minute aquarium adventures, and boy was I not disappointed. If your day in the…read morearea revolves around the aquarium and its adjacent locations, then I highly recommend this parking lot. I don't normally come to Long Beach for adventures, but thought I would get out of my comfort zone and just go see. Entrance into the parking garage was relatively straight forward coming from the 710 South. I would like there to be more signage for the rates on the outside at least. I only saw the rates online and right when I was about to get my ticket from the gate. Others have mentioned it prior, but the elevators are kind of buggy to say the least. I was heading to the aquarium and parked my car on the 3rd floor. As I was about to take the stairs, I saw the elevator open about to go down so I hopped in. Right before it got to the 1st floor, it stopped and there was no light on the screen. We waited a bit, hit the bell button and it sent us back to the 3rd floor. I then proceeded to take the stairs the rest of the time. I could've been blind, but final thing to mention was that I don't recall seeing signage saying that the 1st floor path to the aquarium had the pay kiosks. They are also located at the car exits too so you'd be fine either way.

I believe it was around 5$ for like 4 hours and that's really not bad for everything that's around the area. That I know of there was so many more expensive lots and we found this to be the cheapest. The employees were also super nice and helped us get to our location with easier directions than Google Maps. The GPS was sending us all around and saying it was going to be around 40 minutes walking but they told us how to get there and we got there in 15! Will def come back here if I come to another event (: Also yes fees were the same with major events happening around. We came during the race car event.

Must say when this structure went automated, it was the best thing to happen. This is a public structure and open 24 hours. Pull your ticket to get in and pay at the machine before you go. First 30 minutes are free. A number of downtown city employees park here as well as patrons of the Library. It's open to all and well maintained as of this review. Even though it's not manned, there may be employees in the office near the elevator next to the pay station. Excellent choice for parking for the Grand Prix or just to go to nearby Pine Ave. My only pet peeve is when these large ka-donk-a-donk trucks and SUVs park in parking stalls designated for compact vehicles. Boo! You inconsiderate people... If only this was enforced.
