But--try to get Prime Rib and Yorkshire Pudding any day but Sunday, and you get laughed out of town. Which forces you to eat at the York Roast Co. The food is edible but quite unlike the prime rib you expect. It is cut in small pieces, slathered in brown gravy, dumped on top of some veggies and served in a box. It is sort of the Kentucky Fried Chicken version of a Prime Rib dinner, except the quality is one notch lower. The people are nice but you pick your box up at the counter, fast food style. The ambience screams Henry the Eighth ate here, and not in a good way. Thank god for the giant brick pilar in the middle holding the building up. Avoid it if you can, and wait for Sunday Roast someplace else.

Always met friendly staff…read moreand very clean establishment. unfortunately today that changed. visited the Lands Lane shop in Leeds rude miserable staff that clearly didn't want to work and the whole shop was absolutely disgustin. They had a sign saying the upstairs area would be closed at 5pm for cleaning. I think the whole shop needs closing down and fumigating. We will not be visiting again.

A++ The place is warm welcoming and from my experience the staff have great training. There is plenty of seating and with such good opening times its the best place to call on your way down to that train station for a quick take out drink or a bite to eat. Sit back, chuck ya feet up on them couches and roll your thoughts while listening to the relaxing background music this place has to offer!!

It made for a good Instagram, however, yesterday we went to Blacker Hall Farm where we ordered afternoon tea - only to be treated to larger sandwiches, a giant scone each, and three unique delicious desserts. This is such a hidden gem in York…read more Such a cozy and warm welcome when you walk in. It's a pretty tiny place but I think that's what makes it extra special. I wanted to have a photoshoot in there because it was just so cute. They also have a small outdoor seating area. The food menu is not big, but those things on it are just on point. Everything is so fresh and sounds so good that it makes you want to order everything off the menu. I was really impressed with the flavors of the dishes we ordered. Even though I just ordered avo and toast, it was by far better than other places I've had before. Not to mention it's vegan! They also offer yummy cakes!
