Next time, I'm definitely asking for their traditional Macedonian version (which from what the owner was telling us is super buttery and I imagine amazing). However I'd also be curious if they take requests as I'd love a 50% cottage cheese and 50% sour cream mix. The Mixed Board: A complete standout. It comes with pita bread plus an amazing selection of meats: -Cevapi: Perfectly grilled minced meat sausages that were absolutely delicious. -Chicken: Incredibly moist and perfectly seasoned. -Sudzukice: A spicy sausage link that's a bit different from what I'm used to in Albanian cuisine, but fantastic. It reminded me of a super flavorful, elevated hot dog (I'd love to try this served on a bun or in the pita with spicy mustard next time!). - Sharska Pljeskavica: Hands down unbelievable. I've never had this before. It's a homemade beef and pork mixed patty stuffed with melted cheese and bacon. Mind blown! If you're anywhere near North Wildwood, do not walk, run to Balkan Fusion. They offer: 7 different salads 8 different burgers 8 different sandwiches But my favorites are the 20 different dinner entrees and more than I should write. And if that was the description and I didn't know better would've been a hell no. The spinach and artichoke dip we started with was the opposite extreme. It was overly salty and offputting. We didn't even finish it. The salad had a really nice bright dressing, but it could've used a little splash of an acid otherwise it was completely covered in cheese. All in all, it's a nice looking restaurant with good bones, but I think some of the food needs to fine-tuning. Some of it felt dare I say banquet and not Restaurant quality. All of the dishes looked appetizing and appealing, and came to the table quite nice. The temperature wasn't overly hot but the restaurant seemed busier than normal. We opted not to finish the meal off with dessert as we had other plans. The price point is pretty in line with beach resort pricing. The BYO was a nice option. The food was missing some elemental, cooking additives like salt, which is super important the flavoring food. This seems to be a popular spot for local folks. Hugs for my friends who are regulars, and a warm hello and handshake for me. After a brief wait for our table of ten, we were seated graciously, and the experience began! Water, drink orders and bread were brought, I think we had at least six or so people checking in, taking orders and refreshing glasses of wine, for those who ordered the $125 wine pairings to the $145 dinner, I was driving, so I ordered two glasses of wine - $22 and $18. The amuse bouche was a tiny BLT and a small glass of clarified gazpacho- never heard of that, but the liquid was clear with tiny bits of red and green peppers and was so flavorful! The first course was yellow corn panne cotta with a smear of jumbo lump crab - oh, wow! Almost my favorite course. My favorite was rockfish ravioli in a basil and clam broth - could have eaten way more than the three of those if it was a main, but they were generously sized!!! The third course, Chicken Ballantine, Summer Vegetables, Natural Jus, was a little strange - there was a small medallion of chicken breast that was, I think, ground and under cooked - spongy, wrapped in some veg, maybe bok choy?, and then wrapped in dried-ish chicken skin. A little like a sushi presentation, but cooked. It was accented by a tiny fried piece of chicken breast. That fried bit is all I ate. Dessert was divine - a peach that was really a construction of white chocolate, sponge cake inside and peach butter - nestled on meringue and other yummy things like a tiny scoop of peach sorbet - and a companion sorbet in a fruit liquid. By that time, my taste buds were so overwhelmed by deliciousness, I had to get dessert to go (sans sorbet). I had it for breakfast- what a treat!! Overall, a wonderful experience - only a couple of odd things - since we were 10, we asked for separate checks by couples - the server grumbled and complained about something about having to override their system from the time we asked for that until the time we paid the check. A few couples had to go to the bar to pay the check, until she was able to do a work around to let the last of us pay...after waiting for some sort of fix...and more grumbling. And, while I really appreciate that they provided small stands for our purses next to our chairs, I tripped over them while using the ladies, and getting seated on return when the sweet staff ran to follow us back in the room and tried to pull our chairs for reseating. I had the lamb chops, and my husband had the salmon. Both were absolutely top-notch! Every course was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. What I especially appreciated was that we never felt rushed. The staff seemed relaxed and genuinely happy to be there, and we were able to sit back, enjoy our meal, and have a truly relaxing evening. That can be hard to find during the busy summer season! And if you're looking for an extra reason to visit, Sirocco has specials throughout the week. We also got the Polish addiction, and they were some of the best pierogi I've ever had (I'm Polish; I've had a lot of pierogi). The space itself is cool.
