My original design was boring and unimaginative, but they presented us with a design that is so stunning that I still lose my breath when I walk in. I think it says something when someone who had never been to my house thinks it was always this beautiful. The difference is night and day yet to a new observer it looks like it was always so perfect! Another very important part of the renovation is the people who are in your house doing the work. Brian and Rachel have assembled a group that arrives when they say, are neat and respect your home, and are kind and friendly. I actually enjoyed having them around. Most importantly the craftsmanship is impeccable. On the very rare occasion something was not quite right it was attended to without hesitation. Finally, Rachel and Brian are great people. They are responsible yet fun. They are family people active in their children's lives and great members of their community. The kind of people you can TRUST. We are beyond pleased with our new kitchen and all the work that turned our house into what it is now!

I called ahead of my visit this time, because I was on a mission to find Thai chili peppers. Score!!! I was getting desperate after going to a local "natural market", then Winn Dixie, and was I was almost going to go to a Thai restaurant to ask if I could buy some peppers off them. I called to PJ's and asked the owner and I lit up like a kid at Christmas time when she said "yes, I have them"! I immediately said that I was on my way! We got about halfway to where we were going and decided we weren't going to make it there and back on time. We crossed the street and turned around to head back to where we were parked. We walked up to Carnival Sweets and immediately noticed how absolutely charming the store looked. You went inside and it's such a quaint little store. We were immediately greeted by two men who were just the kindest. I purchased two honey bun cow tails for my children and then I ordered two hot chocolates and a strawberry lemonade. To receive your drinks, you go out the side door to the left, around the back. The hot chocolate with some of the most decadent that I have ever had. It was incredibly rich and very flavorful. The strawberry lemonade was also delicious. Between the cleanliness, the cutest decor, the kindest staff, and the delicious drinks, I wish I lived closer to come here more often. This is definitely an establishment that deserves your money and time.

The duck theme is everywhere from the walls to the duck leg bar seats. It was crowded when we went, but people seem to just stick around for a drink and move on, so we got a table pretty quickly.
