The Pewter Mug is my go-to place for prime rib. I will, 99 percent of the time, order the prime rib here. The one percent I strayed. I ordered their duck. Not the best duck I have ever had, in fact, it was one of the worst. This really bothered me, so I went somewhere else later and tried. the duck. It's me. I no longer like duck dang at my age, and my taste buds have changed. I wish I remembered the server's name, but I seem to always wind up in her section. She is always spot on with her service, and I am always happy to have her. I go back to the days of the Pewter Mug, when it was modeled after a World War 2 bunker. They have moved north, and the new location is wonderful. When I have guests from out of town, I will always bring them here. Pewter Mug never disappoints. read more

Four of us dined here early on a Saturday evening. We made a reservation and got a booth next to the salad bar, which is just excellent. Ambiance is fine and the noise level is finely shielded by a tall wall from the bar area. My favorite spot is their salad bar with soup, bread, cheese at one end. Tonight, they have the clam chowder and Italian Wedding soup. Wife love that Italian Wedding soup! Our prime rib and beef stroganoff dinner are well prepared. Everything is delectable. Service by staff was spot on. Another great meal at Pewter Mug. read more

This is definitely a jewel of a place to eat, but also great for special occasions. The salad bar, soup bar and bread bar were amazing and totally fresh and amazing.. I usually don't eat Prime Rib out, because my husband makes it better, but this Prime Rib was perfect as was the Creamed Spinach with bacon. Our waitress Kristi was great, and very attentive. She directed us to the salad bar and when we were almost done , she asked if it was okay to put in our entrees. That was perfect and usually not done very much anymore, but then your food comes out it's hot. My Espresso Martini was the best I've had in quite sometime. The ambiance was very nice, it's not too loud and the tables were not too close, it felt like home. This is certainly not my last time here and I highly recommend it to everyone that wants an amazing meal and an enjoyable evening. read more

First time dining here. Sat at the bar. Plenty of seating available. Prices seem high initially, but with soup, salad, and bread, I guess I can make sense of it. My husband really enjoyed his French dip. My shrimp carbonara didn't taste very fresh. The sauce seemed thick and not very appetizing. Salad bar was good - like any basic salad bar. I like that they make the dressings in house. Clam chowder was not good (being from New England). Bar is spacious and had a good drink menu even though we did not partake. Server was friendly and attentive. I feel like they need to have more bar type/finger foods because that's the vibe that the restaurant has to me (vs more fine dining which is what the menu exudes). Might be a one and done for us. read more

We love the salad bar. I am very picky about my duck entrees I ordered their duck and was very impressed. Cooked perfectly and the glaze was amazing. The server was very professional and gave great suggestions. With I could remember her name but I waited a couple days to write this. As far the restaurant a.biance it is geared for a older crowd and we really like it. read more

A few weeks ago some of my family and I had dinner at The Pewter Mug North. The highlight of this restaurant was definitely their amazing salad bar. Not only was the salad bar kept fresh and restocked by kind workers, but they had such a great variety of toppings, pasta salads, soups (on this particular evening it was broccoli and italian wedding soup), dinner rolls, cheeses, and more. While the salad bar comes with each meal, you can also just select it for your entree, as it can be quite filling. The staff was super friendly and we all enjoyed our meal. read more

Not the old Pewter Mug we enjoyed since the 1970s. It now has a tired cafeteria vibe, prices are high and the salad bar is nothing special. We will keep our memories of the wonderful old Pewter Mug. read more

My friend said I had to go here because of the prime rib so we visited. The salad bar was so nice with lots of fresh greens and salads and things. Great dinner rolls. Soups and well worth the price if you're into all you can eat. The prime rib was ok. Not the best or worst. Ok service and ambience redneck Rivera at best. read more

Ok so some friends said this place was good and we came with another couple. The ambience is akin to visitors' night at the senior center: shockingly bright lights and furnishings that look like they came from the Walmart discount center. The beverage options were pretty basic. They offer a salad bar, which is rare to find these days, and was pretty good. This place is known for prime rib and the two people who ordered it seemed to like it. I had chicken prima verde, which was quite acceptable. One thing they do that I hate is send the food out with runners--the runner ends up asking you who had which dish. Come on--install a basic code system and act like each customer matters. Overall, yeah I would go back but grudgingly. There are a million options, half of which I like better. Still, this place has been around forever, so obviously enough people like it--you might be one of them, especially if you have a hankering for Prime Rib. read more

Three of us dined here early on a recent Monday evening. We made a reservation and got a booth next to the salad bar, which is just great and they have soup, bread, cheese, etc. at one end (don't miss those). Ambiance good. Noise level OK. Service by Christie was spot on. We got a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and ordered from early menu (available until 6 pm). We had Prime Rib, $33, Half Rack Ribs $30, and Tipsy Salmon $33. Everything was delectable. PM is very popular because they serve great meals at reasonable prices. read more

The Pewter Mug was recommended to me by my brother. He said they had fantastic Prime Rib, thanks Brother! WOW This place is a local favorite! Of course I checked out what my fellow,Yelper said and the reviews are true, it was fantastic! I see some reviews say the Prime Rib had no flavor, not sure how you ordered it, but mine was delicious . I got mine medium rare of course but had it blackened, so good! The salad bar was as advertised and I loved the potato bacon soup. It you are in the Bonita Springs area, this place is a must stop! BTW, you will need to make reservations as it was quite busy! read more

Excellent and def experienced in serving and cooking home made tasting food! They prove they are indeed a great eatery when they are consistent and their food is fresh, piping hot, even the salad bar just as we remembered from years past. Had their special fresh catch mahi mahi and surprised it was made better than some seafood speciality restaurants Ribs were hot and off the bone with the perfect sauce This facility is so much better than the old place, open, spacious, large bar with tv They have a special bar menu if you come early. Either way their early bird menu rocks too. Only thing my hubby was disappointed with was the bread. They use to have an entire loaf you cut like the cheese but Covid killed all that. Doesn't mean they should revert to the reg generic buns and others. Overall we would return read more

I had a great, reasonable priced, prime rib dinner. Nice salad bar. Looking forward to going back.

This is a casual dining spot - it's not fancy. I love their salad bars, especially their broccoli and macaroni salads. Grab a chilled plate and enjoy a variety of salad and toppings. Their soups rotate and I've had their clam chowder (sometimes it's lumpy), french onion, tomato basil, bacon baked potato, Italian wedding soup and I'd suggest trying a little cup since it's generally average and overly salty. There's also self-serve cubed cheese, bread and butter. Their prime rib is the bomb. It's already cooked so if you're hungry for some prime rib, ask your server to go ahead and bring it out asap. The flinestone 20oz cut is not on the menu anymore (close to $70). Dip it in the hot au jus and a bit of grated horseradish and enjoy your night! The kids meal has a nice variety of options - beef stroganoff, steak, salad bar and a healthier option of broccoli as sides. I've tried other dishes on their menu over the past 5 years including fish, ribs, stew, oysters, half chicken, Alfredo pasta and I'd recommend sticking with their thick-cut prime rib with baked potato or steak fries on the side read more

The salad bar had a great selection of toppings and premade pasta salads. The staff attended it often making sure it was clean and fully stocked. The potato bacon cheddar soup was creamy and tasty. The bread was not made in house, but you could choose from a number of options. I had the coconut shrimp and it was very average. What saved it was the citrus marmalade. The kids beef stroganoff was a huge portion and probably the best thing I ate that evening. It also came with the salad bar. Our waitress was kind and attentive. This place seemed old to me, with dust on the art and display items. They were super busy on a Saturday so they must be doing something right. It is a good place to take out of towners but if I was a local I wouldn't be running back. read more

The Pewter Mug North is quite a treat! It is pricy, but very, very good. It's somewhere I go for special occasions. Prime rib is my favorite food and they do not disappoint. It is always cooked perfectly and very tender. The salad bar is phenomenal! There's so many options, and everything is so fresh. There's usually two soups to choose from, a variety of rolls and cubed cheese, and not to mention all the salad! It's a great salad bar and always restocked in a timely manner. I've also had their burger and it's definitely one of the best burgers I've had. The quality of the meat was very good and it was nice and juicy. Looking forward to going back. read more

My parents spend the winters in Naples and this is one of their favorite restaurants. I love prime rib so I was game! First off, the salad bar. I know. I know. Some people think they are the grossest but this is quite the opposite! They are constantly rotating veggies and filling and cleaning. I felt like the salad bar was the cleaner than most door handles It was fresh, hearty and fun to make your own salad from the good old school salad bar! If you get there before 6:30(?), the salad bar is included with your meal. The best part, it's all you can eat veggies and soup! The Italian Wedding Soup was one of the better ones I've had...not overly salty. The prime rib was great, however, I did need to add salt to my liking as it could have used a tad more seasoning. I've come to the realization they probably don't use much salt in SWFL during the winter months! The sweet potato was my favorite part of the entire meal! Sweet, salty, and left me wanting more. The service was great and the ambiance was bumping at 5pm on a Thursday! I would go back for sure. read more

My expectations were prob too high with the favorable comments on the Prime Rib...reality...so so....ordered the 14 oz and immediately questioned to myself the portion size...not a good thing...you don't want your diner thinking they were "short changed" This place is def a 70's throwback..fits well in Naples for this particular crowd...Seniors Plus... A very old school joint that originally had no windows so men would not be on view with un sanctioned companions. The new place is very different and contemporary. Where the old bar had funk, this place has open space and high ceilings. Change in venue does not mean a loss of service, value or good quality. Credit to ownership for not screwing this place up. Always packed so plan appropriately. But do plan to go. read more

My family used to frequent the original Pewter Mug down on the Imperial River and US41 when I was a kid. It was one of the few great restaurants in the area when SW Florida was still relatively unheard of and pretty small. It was dynamite back then, known for their signature prime rib and salad bar. Well, decades later, the same formula still works in their new location just a mile and a half north in a much larger location. Doors open at 4 for the bar, where you can get your "early bird" on with some drinks and food in the spacious lounge area. They offer a bar menu with about 10 to 12 different items for eat-in only until 6:00 every day. Handmade cocktails were hitting the table in record time as well. Seating for the main restaurant begins at 4:30, and by 5:30 on a Wednesday, forget about it! You better have a reservation, because the place was slammed with hungry people. It is season, but nice to see that the Pewter Mug handled the crowd like they've been doing this for 50 years. Oh, wait, they have! The service was dynamite. Our server was a native of SWFL just like me, so we hit it off like old friends. But, watching her handle not only our table of 4, but the neighboring tables of 10, 12 and 8 at the same time with expertise and grace while keeping us lubricated quickly with drinks, food, and laughs was inspiring. The salad bar is included with your prime rib dinner with unlimited trips! Everything was fresh and delicious. Prime rib brought me back to the same tender, delicious flavors that I remember from the '70s and '80s that made us always beg mom and dad to take us for dinner once or twice a year. No reason to change anything that seems simple, but also takes care, attention to detail and lots of practice to get just right. The meat melts in your mouth with all the necessary accoutrements to make it a dynamite meal. Key lime pie at the end with a candle to celebrate my big birthday, too. Thanks! A terrific experience, and I'm so glad this long time institution is still showing how to get things done for SWFL carnivores like me!! I'll be back soon. read more

First time customers. Our Server was very good. She was attentive asking us if we were done with the salad bar and ready for her to put our order in we gave her 20-30 mins before. That was excellent as we never felt rush at all. My wife and sister tried the escargot that had a melted cheese blend. My wife liked it but my sister did not like. I passed as I ate escargot and am not a fan. 10 oz Prime Rib I ordered was just okay. I ordered medium and it was more med/rare. Not bad just not as tasty as I had anticipated reading the reviews. I will not order Prime Rib again. My wife had Blackened Shrimp Carbonara. It was pretty good. My sister had fish and chips but substituted baked potato. She said her fish was just okay. She said she will not order again. We will go back as the ambiance, soup and salad bar all are very good. Our total bill was $137 which included two glasses of wine and a coke. All in all a good deal and value for the food in this day and age. Each meal was around $30 plus minus $1 with appetizer being $15 and wine $7 a glass. read more
