We got married at The Perry House in July 2023 and had an amazing experience. The first time I saw the venue, I fell in love. It has so much character (which is a huge plus because you don't need to do much decorating) and an intimate feel. The setup of the house is pretty cool! The ceremony is outside (they have a really nice arch), and after the ceremony, that space is converted to dinner seating. There are two levels in the house, which makes it easy for those who aren't interested in dancing to have a more relaxed conversation. One note is that because there are only stairs and no elevator, it may be hard for disabled or older folks to get around. The Perry House handles all food and beverage needs. Our guests absolutely raved about the food and the signature cocktails. There is a lot of variety with different budgets - definitely go to the tasting if you can. The Perry House also provides a day-of coordinator, which honestly felt priceless. They help with planning certain things, but they made the whole day run smoothly. I didn't feel one ounce of stress on my wedding day, except for typical wedding jitters. The only hiccup I had was that we hadn't heard from our coordinator in a few weeks, and we were getting close to needing to submit our guest count. It turns out they had left the company, and we had a new coordinator, but they had the wrong email address for us. It seems like that could have been avoided, but it all worked out. We ended up having a relatively low guest count and needed to fulfill the food and beverage minimum. We were able to add on extra food (late-night snacks) and upgrade our appetizers. We were also able to use the extra budget for rentals such as chargers and nicer chairs. This is awesome because I have seen people complain that their venue doesn't let them do this. It definitely helped us feel like we were getting great value. Overall, it was an amazing day, and we loved our venue. Many of our guests still talk about our wedding and say it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to.

Fantastic venue for a wedding I attended. Service was on point , the grounds are very well maintained, the house itself is a marvel, loved the architectural features and the kudos to the care those who restored it took to keep the era friendly style. Food was delicious too.

Beautiful venue for a conference reception. Downstairs has a nice space with wood fired oven for pizzas. Upstairs balcony had gorgeous view of the bay and I particularly like the little bar part of the balcony.

The Perry House was an amazing venue for us in every possible way. They were quick to get back to us on any questions (and we had a lot) and efficient with our time getting all the details ironed out. Charlene and Tammy were both wonderful and we're very grateful they helped make our day even more special than it already was. Day-of they were super organized and everything went smoothly without any worries on our side. They were very professional with the whole event, start to finish. The food was a definite standout (get the ravioli!) but the venue itself was gorgeous as well. It made figuring out decorations much less stressful knowing that if we did nothing it would still look lovely. We had about 80 guests and they all had a fantastic time. We felt very supported throughout the whole process of organizing the event and would highly recommend The Perry House for any mid-size wedding.

I cannot begin to explain how beautiful this venue is! Ours was an Indian French wedding and perry house exactly understood how to bring this fusion vision to life. The venue is perfect for intimate weddings where you want your guests to mingle with others and not be stuck to one table. The food!! Can't begin to explain how talented the chef is! We wanted Indian + French food and what a fusion it was. Our coordinator Charlene was rockstar! She just made everything happen. Highly recommend this place!

After getting engaged I knew I needed to do a lot of research and try to secure a wedding venue as soon as possible. After finding The Perry House I knew this was my dream venue. The location, the house, the outdoor space, the VIEWS - this was it! My event coordinator, Susan, was very responsive and helpful from day one. Being a COVID bride meant dealing with a lot of unknowns and lots of changes in rules/restrictions. I'm so grateful that we were able to keep our original wedding date and that things went so smoothly and turned out to be the best day ever. The hardest decisions to make were which food items to choose, as they were all so delicious! We ended up going with the tri tip and chicken roulade plated options and everyone complimented how good the food was! It was also nice that they also offered some vegan substitutes for some of our vegan guests! Can't say enough good things about the most magical and wonderful day of my life - it wouldn't have been possible without the help from Susan and the rest of the staff at The Perry House and Events By Classic!

We pulled it off! When we started planning our wedding almost one year ago we thought we had found our dream venue to host our 120 guests for a night to remember. As anyone reading this will know as 2020 progressed we became more and more familiar with living in a pandemic and the challenges that can provide. Once it became clear that there was no way we could host our wedding as we had originally intended; our event coordinator Amanda from the events by classic group could not have been more helpful providing us with options. She of course offered us a 2021 date should we choose to postpone, but instead we chose a different option she presented to us that would both make our guests feel safe to attend and satisfy our needs of a special day to remember. We held our ceremony at The Perry House followed by a small dinner reception in the beautiful courtyard at their sister venue the barns at cooper molera. The perry house is such a beautiful location for a ceremony and I'm sure the reception there would have been great as well if we chose not to go to the barns. It was impossible for me not to shed a tear as my bride began her walk down the perry houses's staircase. Everything turned out so beautiful, and we all had such a wonderful time. The food and drinks provided by the events by classic group were stellar, and I could not speak any higher praises of Amanda, our event coordinator. She kept everything on schedule and really brought our dreams to life. If you, like we were, are on the fence about having a wedding in a covid world I hope my words help you find comfort in knowing that you will be well taken care of by the events by classic team at the barns or any of their other venues.

When I found the Perry House when searching online, I knew it was love at first sight. From the beginning, the communication with the venue was responsive, professional, and insightful. When we toured the venue, it really was love at first sight to us and the guests we brought. We instantly booked the venue and started the planning process. Working with Amanda was excellent and super easy. Then we got to work with our wedding coordinator Nicolle, and she KNEW what she was doing! Our day honestly could not have been as smooth if it wasn't for all the amazing staff and Nicolle. The staff were incredibly sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable. The staff did not just make you feel like a stranger, they made you feel like a friend. Our wedding was honestly a fairy tail that happened in real life. Nicolle helped us form our very simple vision, worked with us for months, and communication was flawless. Even when a little hick up happened from another vendor, our coordinator saved the day! To all you new brides out there searching for a place to feel beautiful in, comfortable, at peace, and know your guests will love the food- this is THE place. My guests (about 67) could not stop raving about the food, the staff, the service, and the venue in general. I HIGHLY recommend this all inclusive venue. If I ever could relive this day over again, I would. Thank you to Nicolle our coordinator, Amanda, and all the events by classic staff you were AMAZING!

Just had my wedding here and it was even better than I dreamed! Susan was so patient with me and accommodated all of my crazy! :) we missed the tasting but were fully committed by that point. We knew that any company in the wedding business would have good food, but it was absolutely delicious. All of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been and are still telling us what a great time they had. This is a beautiful venue and I am so happy we went with them. Thank you to the entire staff who treated us like royalty. Best day ever.

We are from NYC but decided to have our wedding in Monterey because it is so beautiful and has special meaning to us. We looked at three venues in the area but once we saw the Perry House, we knew that was where we wanted to celebrate our wedding! The layout of the house and the style of a "roaming reception" made it easy for us to spend quality time with all of our guests. Our wedding day was perfect and stress free. We hired Richard to be our "day of coordinator" and I am so thankful that we did. I did not have to make any decisions the day of the wedding. Everything fell into place without me having to stress at all. I just relaxed and truly enjoyed the day. When it came time to eat, Richard brought us each a plate with everything that was served. Because we planned from across the country, we never got a chance to attend any of their food tastings to plan our menu. We just trusted the reviews we read online... and they were right! The food was delicious. We did a grill station with Salmon and Steak and the Brick Oven Pizza. We loved it all! We had our ceremony and reception at the Perry House. It was great having everything in one place and not having guests getting lost along between events. We used the ipod dock and created a playlist of our favorite music. The sound system was great and the guests really enjoyed the music. In terms of value, I found the Perry House to be very reasonably priced and a good value when you consider the quality of the venue, the staff and the food. My husband and I are both photographers, so it was important to us to find a place where our pictures would be beautiful! The Perry House is a perfect setting for beautiful photos. We had an amazing time on our wedding day! I am so thankful we chose the Perry House! *** Our wedding was in 2013. I originally posted this review on Classic Catering's Yelp page in 2013, but that page is now listed as closed, so I copied and pasted here on the Perry House page.

We are so happy that we had our wedding at the Perry House! We were in excellent hands with our event planner Amanda throughout the entire process. When we visited, we were impressed by the venue's location and how nice the space already looked, even without any extra decorations. The PH put together a delicious menu that accommodated the various dietary restrictions we had (vegetarian bride, guest with gluten allergy, nut allergies, shellfish allergies...). We had multiple people tell us after the fact how tasty the food was. (Which we can confirm, because the PH staff made sure we got our food first, and actually got to sit down and eat!) One of the other reasons we chose PH was the flexibility of the space. We didn't need to worry about having too many (or too few) people RSVP "yes", as the PH could accommodate up to twice our expected party size. We ended up with 68 guests which felt like a comfortable amount. The many different "spaces" throughout the venue were also very appealing to us-- we wanted to make sure that people who wanted to talk and catch up could do so without having to shout over the music, and the people who wanted to dance all night could do that too. Overall, we are incredibly pleased with our decision to go with the PH, and that Amanda was there to walk us through the process. Thanks to everyone on staff at our event for making our wedding day perfect!

Pre guest arrival on a potentially rainy weekend

The Perry House was perfect for my wedding. We had about 80 people but with all the beautiful sections it never felt empty. Between the heaters and fireplace we were always warm. THE STAFF WAS AMAZING. I was very stressed through the whole process and to be honest kind of a bridezilla haha and the planning staff could not have executed the wedding better to make it stress free for me. The staff was great but the FOOD WAS PROBABLY THE BEST PART!!!!! Can't say enough about the culinary sophistication Events by Classic has to offer. Overall the Perry house was great and is definitely the place for a couple looking to have a fun, exciting, and everything but basic experience for their guests.

Salmon with green beans and rice!! yummy

This place is just so beautiful!!! everything about it makes me amazed. I visited this venue for my friend's engagement party, its so beautiful I can even describe it. they have the bride room and the beautiful view from upstairs. its an outdoor as well as indoor venue. Its definitely bigger outside than it is inside but its just beautiful. Super clean, food is amazing, service is outstanding. WOW what an amazing venue. The way they decorated outside and seating area was great. I couldnt ask for more with this place... Beautiful and amazing!

We truly got to enjoy every minute of our wedding day with no stress, because we knew that Makenna, Chef David, Amanda, and the whole team were on top of every detail. Our wedding was 240 people with a morning ceremony/lunch, a full space flip, and an evening cocktail/reception. The Barns team seamlessly pulled off two layouts in the same space in one day, with different meals, bar offerings, decor, and rentals for each. Beyond the amazing team - the venue itself is truly stunning; it's so beautiful that we only had to minimally decorate to create a warm and elegant atmosphere. The space is the perfect balance of rustic and modern, and the barn is deceptively large; we were able to fit everyone on the dance floor! The attached garden is perfect for photographs and a quieter space for guests. We were even able to do an Indian Baraat, due to the unique downtown layout with street access. The Barns are walkable to multiple downtown hotels, so if you do a hotel block or ancillary events, guests can easily move between the spaces without worrying about late-night transportation. From the start, working with our sales manager Amanda was a joy. She coordinated a pre-booking tasting for us and showed us many different layouts for the space, to help us feel confident that the Barns would be the right fit for our wedding. Amanda helped us with flexibility throughout our planning process - helping us contract reasonable spend minimums well ahead of having a firm guest count. Our event manager Makenna went above and beyond to enable our vision. She accommodated a remarkable number of requests, questions, and add-ons with grace and professionalism. Makenna kept us organized, and her meticulous notes ensured no detail was forgotten. She liaised with our photographer, DJ, florist, and rental contact to ensure everyone was working off of the same schedule. She took the time to understand the context behind each of the cultural aspects of our wedding ceremony and event flow, and ensured that the spirit and the intent was carried through. Finally - Makenna was a constant source of creative ideas; she knows every detail of the Barns in and out, and has thought through every possible configuration, down to the height of plants that might block views and where the sun might fall at different times of the day. We were so lucky to have had Makenna's expertise, dedication, and creativity throughout the process. Chef David and the culinary team at the Barns were truly exceptional. The team learned how to make multiple Indian dishes for our wedding, and managed two large multi-cuisine meals in one day. We're still hearing rave reviews of the food 6 months later. Throughout the whole process, the team was open to feedback and refining flavors and sizing to match our vision. Finally, we appreciated the level of attention given to dietary restrictions, including willingness to label tray-passed items, which we had never seen before. We highly recommend getting married at the Barns at Cooper Molera. The team at the Barns worked with us for 18 months to bring our vision to reality, answering countless calls, texts, and emails to ensure every detail was perfect. She met with us multiple times, including a detailed walkthrough onsite before we signed--which helped us feel confident and informed. We really appreciated how transparent they were about pricing, clearly laying out the packages so there were zero surprises. Our event manager, Makenna, was equally helpful and easy to work once we signed and kicked off the planning process. The venue itself is stunning and so flexible. We loved having so many layout options for the ceremony and reception, letting us customize everything. The location itself was unbeatable. It's right in the heart of downtown Monterey, with numerous hotels in walking distance. Despite it being so central, he venue still feels tucked away and private, and there was tons of space for everyone to spread out during the reception. Have to give a HUGE shoutout to the kitchen staff as the food was absolutely insane. We went with the "stations" buffet-style dinner, and our guests are still raving that it was the best wedding food they've ever had (the variety and quality were incredible). The staff was so on top of it. I've never seen a buffet line move so fast. Plus, having multiple bars meant getting a drink was never a hassle. They were also super great about handling all the dietary restrictions, which everyone appreciated. The staff's attention to detail was spot-on. They were so calm and professional, you barely noticed they were there, but everything ran perfectly.
