One word, "stunning", was how I described the final gift presentation. I was referred to The Perfect Gift by a friend that uses their services to put together corporate and charity gifts. While this is not a storefront, it is a "by appointment only" shop. After walking inside, there were baskets, trimmings and ribbons galore. This shop puts together custom gifts and designs party favors for special events as well. There are a number of reasons to give them a call - friendly and courteous service, prompt in responding to projects, creativity was off the charts, and the "out of the box" ideas. Cara, the designer I worked with, was so easy to get along with. She was quick to brainstorm how my gift presentation could look like, based on items I brought to her. She added very nice touches and got the colors exactly right. Check out the photo of my Greek Pantry themed gift basket. It looks stunning!! I can't wait to bring it to my event. While I was visiting her space, I could see other projects she was working on and when speaking with her about the items all around her shop, I could see in an instant that I was working with a total professional. Her keen eye for colors, placement, and materials were so creative. Everything she was working on and previous items I saw on her website does not do justice to her services. I was truly impressed. In my photos you'll see the before and after of the stunning basket she made for me. Cara has so many great ideas. I enjoyed working with her. Highly recommend. Appointment only! So be sure to make one. "Custom" is what sets her apart from buying a pre-packaged gift. You will not regret it. read more

We had an unfortunate situation with a national gift basket provider, where our order was cancelled for a high level EVIP arriving to NYC, relocating for work. Cara was absolutely amazing, and assured us that we would be taken care of. The pressure was intense for our team to deliver, and not only was Cara extremely graceful and kind in dealing with our teams pressure to deliver, but she knocked it out of the park with the basket, and our client was very pleased with the outcome. Thank you again Cara, from the bottom of my heart. P.S. I hope to bring you more business, and less stressful clients in the future!!! read more

I was in search of a local NYC company to put together a gift basket for a family member's small wedding. Cara was wonderful in helping arrange just what I wanted. I explained what I was interested in for the basket that I wanted to send and also, that i needed it delivered by a specific time - she came through not only on time, but with a beautiful gift basket to help our Nephew and his new wife celebrate their special day. Cara went above and beyond to help make this a special delivery - she was just amazing and easy to work with for my order. I highly recommend Cara and The Perfect Gift. You will not be disappointed with anything you order! read more

A friend of mine was recently hospitalized and was in very poor spirits. I looked on yelp for a gift packaging company in New York and found this one. I spoke to the owner Cara on the phone and told her exactly what I wanted and needed. This was on a Monday and the gift arrived at the hospital on Wednesday. I just saw my friend at the hospital and she told me that she her family members and the nurses were incredibly impressed with everything in the gift basket. I highly recommend this business. And would use them again. read more

Amazing !!!! Googled gift baskets in the area for a dear friends birthday (he happened to be travelling for work) and wanted to send him a sweet treat to his hotel room after a long day of work . I totally am a fan of supporting local businesses and couldn't have been happier! Submitted an order for the cookie bouquet on a Monday evening and received email confirmation. My friend received the cookie bouquet (beautifully hand wrapped with colorful ribbons and a customized note) on his actual birthday!! Cara and her team are AWESOME. They are an old-school operation -- in a refreshing way! Cara the owner actually answered the phone -- on a weekend -- when the store is closed. She was accommodating eager and creative with the basket I wanted. We followed up with each other by email and phone on Monday. Cara was very eager to make the gift exactly the way I wanted it, within the budget that I established. She also went to another store to get an item they don't stock, but I wanted to have included. She was very diligent in managing the all the aspect of the delivery to ensure safe passage and arrival. The pacgaing was gorgeous. My giftee was sooo thrilled! SAME DAY DELIVERY in Manhattan when ordered by the cutoff time (which Chelsea Markets doesn't do). I say a big thumbs up to The Perfect Gift, Inc. I'll find other reasons to use these folks again soon! They also do CORPORATE GIFTING! read more

In a pandemic Cara found the most amazing vegan items to celebrate a friends engagement! Thoughtfully curated and beautiful!

Trying to order an engagement/congratulations basket with champagne for my friend in NY turned out to be way harder than I had expected (thanks to NY laws about shipping alcohol into the state). Luckily, I found the Perfect Gift. Cara was extremely helpful and my friends loved their basket! Thank you! read more

The four stars are based on the helpfulness when ordering by telephone, the on-time delivery, and the pleasure expressed by the recipients, a newlywed couple arriving at a NYC hotel. The withheld star is for the standard of communications after the order, which was placed by telephone and covered with a credit card number. From the conversation, and since I was asked for an email address, I expected an acknowledgment of exactly what had been ordered and the total cost with delivery and tax. I asked about this when it was not forthcoming, and was told I would receive a "Delivery Receipt upon completion". The delivery day passed and I asked if it had been delivered. I received a one word reply: "Yesterday". Two weeks later I again asked for a record of the transaction, and as of four more days I am still waiting. We all know there are many aspects to a satisfactory business transaction, and proper and timely communication of the records is one of them. This gap leaves a small doubt whether I would use this company again. read more

Really disappointed with the customer service. I ordered holiday baskets for some of my colleagues and was promised an early morning delivery, instead now I am left waiting and may not get them at all, because the owner can't promise me a time for delivery. Extremely poor customer service. read more

I rarely review, but felt that this company deserved it! My boyfriend had a huge presentation today in NYC and I wanted to send him something to wish him luck! Having no city direction at all, I googled gift baskets near his work location. I checked out other gift baskets sites like edible arrangements, pro flowers, chelsea market baskets etc. but none of them had any products of my interest and even though they had personable options, I just didn't feel like their products were personal enough! I came across the perfectgiftny.com which had a 5 star rating and after reading the reviews knew if there was any chance I was going to get something to his office, same day - Cara would be able to do it! I sent her my first initial e-mail at 7am this morning. She sent a response e-mail for me to call her at 10am this morning, which I neglected to do because I had the wrong inbox open on my phone. When I got back to her around 11:30 she had informed me that the driver had left for the day and that she would be in contact if anything should change. She contacted me twice by phone and twice by e-mail, which I also neglected to answer because I assumed I wouldn't be getting a response and continued to go back to work. When I finally got back to her she was more than happy to take my order and arrange the basket for him! I was super impressed with the customer service, I did not think I would find a NYC company willing to accommodate my personal request. Looking forward to using them again! read more
