One word, "stunning", was how I described the final gift presentation. I was referred to The Perfect Gift by a friend that uses their services to put together corporate and charity gifts. While this is not a storefront, it is a "by appointment only" shop. After walking inside, there were baskets, trimmings and ribbons galore. This shop puts together custom gifts and designs party favors for special events as well. There are a number of reasons to give them a call - friendly and courteous service, prompt in responding to projects, creativity was off the charts, and the "out of the box" ideas. Cara, the designer I worked with, was so easy to get along with. She was quick to brainstorm how my gift presentation could look like, based on items I brought to her. She added very nice touches and got the colors exactly right. Check out the photo of my Greek Pantry themed gift basket. It looks stunning!! I can't wait to bring it to my event. While I was visiting her space, I could see other projects she was working on and when speaking with her about the items all around her shop, I could see in an instant that I was working with a total professional. Her keen eye for colors, placement, and materials were so creative. Everything she was working on and previous items I saw on her website does not do justice to her services. I was truly impressed. We had an unfortunate situation with a national gift basket provider, where our order was cancelled for a high level EVIP arriving to NYC, relocating for work. Cara was absolutely amazing, and assured us that we would be taken care of. The four stars are based on the helpfulness when ordering by telephone, the on-time delivery, and the pleasure expressed by the recipients, a newlywed couple arriving at a NYC hotel. The withheld star is for the standard of communications after the order, which was placed by telephone and covered with a credit card number. From the conversation, and since I was asked for an email address, I expected an acknowledgment of exactly what had been ordered and the total cost with delivery and tax. I asked about this when it was not forthcoming, and was told I would receive a "Delivery Receipt upon completion". The delivery day passed and I asked if it had been delivered. I received a one word reply: "Yesterday". Two weeks later I again asked for a record of the transaction, and as of four more days I am still waiting. We all know there are many aspects to a satisfactory business transaction, and proper and timely communication of the records is one of them. This gap leaves a small doubt whether I would use this company again. read more

I rarely review, but felt that this company deserved it! My boyfriend had a huge presentation today in NYC and I wanted to send him something to wish him luck! Having no city direction at all, I googled gift baskets near his work location. I checked out other gift baskets sites like edible arrangements, pro flowers, chelsea market baskets etc. but none of them had any products of my interest and even though they had personable options, I just didn't feel like their products were personal enough! I came across the perfectgiftny.com which had a 5 star rating and after reading the reviews knew if there was any chance I was going to get something to his office, same day - Cara would be able to do it! I sent her my first initial e-mail at 7am this morning. She sent a response e-mail for me to call her at 10am this morning, which I neglected to do because I had the wrong inbox open on my phone. When I got back to her around 11:30 she had informed me that the driver had left for the day and that she would be in contact if anything should change. She contacted me twice by phone and twice by e-mail, which I also neglected to answer because I assumed I wouldn't be getting a response and continued to go back to work. When I finally got back to her she was more than happy to take my order and arrange the basket for him!
