Avoid this florist. Don't use them personally nor through Telaflora. I ordered flowers through telaflora and opted for a "Premium" bouquet that had about six of each bloom in the bouquet. When my wife got them and sent me a picture, it was clear that Superior fulfilled the smallest basic bouquet option: three of each bloom. I called Telaflora and, while they were exceptional at crediting me the difference in bouquet prices without even asking for a photo for proof, they were not surprised. It gets better. When ordering flowers for someone else, it's fun to come as a surprise, right? Well, the local florist decided the FULL address info given to Telaflora just must have been too cumbersome to include on a handwritten delivery ticket. I mean, who needs a floor number when you work in a big office building near grand central. So, the recipient gets a couple calls saying "your company isn't located at [wrong street]." "Right, that's the wrong address. I'm at [correct street] (3 blocks away)." "Well, I'll try to deliver it later when I'm back in the area." Telaflora said "it's amazing that they think they can get away with it but people call us and show us the pictures. This happens far too often." So, I decided I should call the florist and ask them, what the *** kind of service are you running?! "YOU GOTTA DEAL WITH TELAFLORA DIRECTLY. I CANT DISCUSS TELAFLORA ORDERS." I finally interrupted to let him know I did deal with them, they weren't surprised, and credited me. His answer? I knew I had to go to my trusted flower gurus @ Superior Florist, however, with my new work hours, I would not make it before they closed. But I had to be an amazing husband, so I called them and politely asked if they could stay open a few more minutes for me to stop by. They were super accommodating and weren't grumpy at all at having to stay open late. I did the right thing by hooking them up with a nice tip. I got my wife a great bouquet full of every flower imaginable - plus they make it super easy for you. You just tell em how much you want to pay and they'll make the arrangements for you. I just go with the "no carnations" since the wife thinks those are funeral flowers. I can't recommend these super friendly guys enough. Based on 1 purchase of fall accessories, not flowers. Inventory 5/5: All of the flowers looked fresh and well maintained. The fall decorations I purchased were not dried out and still had the stems attached (which I cannot say for pumpkins and gourds at other shops). They had a huge variety of vases and other decorations as well. Price 5/5: You can't beat their prices. Small pumpkins are 6 for $5. Larger ones are under $5 or $10. They have a large selection of gourds and corn as well, and during the winter months there are tons of spruce and fir. The staff is always super friendly when I walk by and look, even friendlier when you get to chat with them. I hired Superior Florist as my wedding florist. I must have interviewed more than 10 florists before finally deciding on them. I really wanted bright pink hydrangeas for my flowers, but most of the florists that I met with either told me that they can't get naturally bright pink ones or they can only get it in a dark, dusty shade of pink or they suggested ones that are dyed or have the flowers drink the dye from the stem. Having fake-looking or dyed flowers is an absolute dealbreaker for me - I simply will not settle, I would rather have no flowers than fake ones. The fact that some florists would even bring those options up really makes me question their tastes. About 2 other florists told me that they can get the natural bright pink hydrangeas, but at a ridiculously expensive price. When Steve at Superior Florist quoted me a reasonable price for what I was asking for, I had to ask him to make sure he is quoting me natural bright pink hydrangeas, and not ones that he plans to dye. Steve confirmed that they are going to be natural. I also did some research on Superior Florist's background and found out that they are one of the preferred vendors for the Chelsea Lighthouse, a venue that Abigail Kirsch caters for. I know that both Chelsea Lighthouse and Abigail Kirsch won't let a bad vendor in their door, so I signed Superior Florist within a few days of receiving my proposal. Prior to the wedding, Steve was a pleasure to work with. He is always very responsive. I almost exclusively dealt with him over email and he always responded quickly and politely. I also asked to see a sample of my centerpiece a couple of weeks before my wedding. I must admit, though, that the first time I saw the centerpiece, I thought it was beautiful but it wasn't exactly what I asked for. So, I wrote to Steve that I want to see what I asked for and he did a second sample for me. After seeing the 2nd sample, I still had reservations, it just wasn't what I had exactly in mind. So, about 2 or 3 weeks before my wedding, I changed my entire concept. I gave him a picture of my new concept and made a couple of changes to the rest of the contract and that was the end of it. On my wedding day, I was happy to see that my centerpieces were gorgeous! They were even prettier than I had imagined. My ceremony decor was also beautifully made plus my flower girl headpiece was adorable. I have to knock off one star because the personal flowers: bouquets and boutonnieres, were not exactly in the best condition. Some flowers in our bouquets and the bouts were wilting a bit. I actually had to break off one garden rose off my bouquet because it was wilting so badly. I had to do the same to one of my groommen's bout. I think it was because it was a hot and humid day and that was why the flowers were dying. However, I think that as a professional florist, they should take the heat and humidity into account when they made the bouquets and bouts. For instance, maybe they could have used water tubes (at least for the bouts) - anyway, I am not the expert, but there should be at least something they can do. Also, my toss bouquet really does look like a bouquet you are supposed to throw away - it was mish mosh and looked like it was put together with leftover, discarded flowers. I was embarrassed when I saw it and exclaimed that I cannot throw that bouquet even though it was going to someone else. My makeup artist who was touching me up said that she has experience with flower arrangement and offered to fix it for me. She did and she made it look a lot better. I was unhappy to pay such a high premium for a toss bouquet that didn't look nice (and that ultimately, my makeup artist was really the one who put it together for me) - I could have gone to a grocery store and buy $10 roses and put together a better bouquet myself than that toss bouquet. Aside from the personal flowers and sad-looking toss bouquet, Superior Florist was great to work with and I was pleased with my centerpieces and ceremony flowers. read more

My daughter loves flowers, and wanted a purple theme, but lilac was not in season so she decided on purple roses. Sam was immediately very helpful and showed us all his wedding books to us of their past arrangements. He even brought us upstairs, where they have refridgerators and showed us the arrangements he had ready to go our for his next wedding that would be similar to the ones he would make for us.
