The People's Choice does market research studies for various food companies, health and beauty products, as well as household items. They pay in cash and the staff are all very friendly. Once you sign up they recruit panelists via email/phone calls when studies are open.
Unfortunately, it's often hit or miss as to how often they reach out, based on the criteria for each study. I have found that the more you go there, they get to know you and therefore reach out more to recruit for studies. Some studies are take home with online surveys while others are done in their office.
