Our server was very present, and even brought us some shots! TY! The food is quite mid, so if you are starving, I would suggest eating elsewhere before or after. We settled on quesadillas, which were soft and not very cooked. I know that expecting good Mexican cuisine in Toronto can be hard, but, please do better! Fry those tortillas for a few more minutes, and future reviews will be perfect. They're no longer served in those plastic baskets, and even the sides felt more elevated. Instead of the usual big orange carrot sticks, they came with sliced, multi-coloured carrots. Small detail, but it made a difference. The calamari also felt more refined, with sprouts and garnishes that made it feel less like a basic bar dish. Service has never really been an issue here, but this time our server stood out. They were very accommodating with modifications, mindful of allergies, and helpful with recommendations. Overall, it feels like Garage has stepped things up. Between the improved food and solid service, I wouldn't hesitate to come back. With our usual wing spot no longer doing their special, this might end up being our new go-to.
