History
Established in 2015.
The Pedal Factory began with a goal of creating an inclusive and welcoming space in the cycling community, where everyone has access to bikes. We started with a simple earn a bike program, where people may exchange volunteer service for a bike at no cost. We have expanded to offer repairs, a workshop space for use by the public, and refurbished bikes for sale. We have also grown to provide bike giveaways for kids, classes on safe riding and maintenance, and we have rentals available.
Meet the Manager: Mary R.
Hi! I manage most daily operations and take the phone calls at the shop. I love riding my bike and I love sharing this passion with others. My husband Todd is the head mechanic at the shop, though I’ve actually also been certified by UBI as a mechanic. I’m a League Certified Instructor through the League of American Bicyclists, an ACE Certified personal trainer, and gold a BS in Kinesiology. I work part time teaching various exercise classes in addition to my role at the shop. I also am a mom to two teens and three dogs.
