Awesome service here! Came here looking for comfort after experiencing foot fatigue and Juliana was able to help me so quickly! She recommened the Hoka Bondi 9's and they're the most comfortable shoe i've worn to date! A week later and they unfortunately had a manufacturers defect AND they swiftly replaced them on the spot! So many great shoes and brands here, I am definitely coming back and keeping up with the sales they have, the service is unmatched and full of great helpful people. read more

This isn't a "Professionally" written Review; This is just me, Dr. Orange / Luscious Lou - I am writing to you from my heart and giving you my first-hand experiences and thoughts as a "Battle-Tested" - "Broken" Former Emergency Room Physician that has sustained considerable damage to my feet. All those Overnight ER Tours - Sprinkled with a Near Fatal Case of COVID (10 Nights in the ICU @ NYU) have taken their toll on my feet. Having the right footwear on your feet is critical and can affect your entire body. Trust me, I know. For years, I've struggled and searched to find a place that "Sub-Specializes" in Outfitting the "Difficult" Foot. Clients are treated like patients; I'm serious - I don't know how else to explain. The amazing team @ Ralph Baker's Shoes - led by Marissa Wood- is incredible. You won't find an experience like this anywhere. I traveled nearly an hour from Charlotte for this service, and I can say with certainty, it was worth it. Marissa is an incredibly knowledgeable professional who is well-versed in pairing appropriate footwear with each of her patients/clients. Forgive me for sounding so medical. I can't stress the importance of having the appropriate footwear enough. This is a family-run business that has been in Salisbury for many years. Believe it or not, you don't have to sacrifice style for comfort - Ralph Baker has a tremendous selection. They literally have a warehouse of shoes; all different types. I challenge you to find a place with such a selection and exceptional service. It only exists in Salisbury. Ralph Baker's is Veteran & First Responder Friendly and offers a very generous discount to our Nation's heroes. I left with 4 - Four; - Yes - Four Pairs of Shoes; - I had not purchased a Pair of Dress Shoes, for years before COVID; - It must be 10 Years. I'm going to close for now, but if you have a difficult-to-fit foot and "Foot Issues," this is your place. Prepare for friendly, dedicated, and enthusiastic staff who care. Ralph Baker's has a "Tremendous" selection - I'm certain they have something for everyone. As an aside, for those of you who can't make the "Schlep" over to Salisbury, they offer very reasonable and quick shipping. Thank You, Marissa and the Ralph Baker's Shoes Family - You are awesome! A+ See you soon! read more

Was sent here by the VA for orthopedic shoes. Marissa greeted us and promptly showed us options. Very upbeat and friendly. She helped me select two pairs of shoes and two pair of elastic shoe laces. Yes, the VA covered the cost, but she was so energetic and genuinely glad to help us I can't help but to recommend her and the store to anyone. There aren't enough stars available for me to express my true feelings about Baker shoes. Needless to say, they more than walk the extra mile to please. Their unrushed relaxed attention to customers is most appreciated. Three generations of 100% dedication to quality and attention to detail is evident in all they do. The foundations were laid yerars ago and built upon by generations two and three. Great job guys. Oh, and the shoes are top of the line in comfort and value read more

I have lymphedema in both feet. I decided to go to Ralph Baker's Shoes. It is a family owned store. The people were busy at the time but very nice and respectful. After a little wait one of the employees was very helpful in finding a shoe that fit and was comfortable. Since then I have purchased another color and style. Savannah was super helpful and I had to try multiple shoes to find the right pair. There are times when they have been overwhelmed with customers, but they have failed to acknowledge me entering the store. I loved the experience. Many other shoe stores have not been that helpful. read more

The employees are so nice and helpful, but the owner is rude and disrespectful. I would most definitely take my business elsewhere, especially for Veterans. The phone call Mr. Baker referenced was made by my sister who he hung up on where she also tried to voice her concern. So upsetting. read more

I have been in the store several times and have bought tennis shoes and Birkenstock sandals from there... but the last two times that I was in which one of them was today. No one helped me at all. No one even spoke to me. I tried on shoes by myself and I came home and order them directly from the company. Same as I did last time when I needed some tennis shoes I order directly from the company did not purchase from local because they didn't help me.... Sad read more

I visited the store on 07/06/2022. It's a small store but I was never acknowledged but the two ladies that came in after me were assisted immediately. I guess I didn't look like someone that could buy shoes from their store. I'll drive to Winston or Charlotte in the future. read more

What a delightful experience! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff! Willing to go to great lengths to listen to my problem and offer suggestions and explain their reasoning. Ralph, Jr. did his evaluation, and I decided on my shoe choice with the help of LouAnne and Jordan. They were very patient and understanding. After Ralph, Jr. did the build-up and I got my shoes, I was truly amazed at the comfort of the shoes and not having to put inserts in my shoes. They were such a constant bother! This is simply the answer to prayers. Enjoyed the terrific selection, the great location and parking, and the beautiful town of Salisbury! Thank you to all the staff, Cordelia Stowe read more

I stopped in for my first visit on July 7. I had been looking for a comfort shoe store for years while living in Charlotte and nada. Now living in Salisbury I just discovered this store. I was assisted by Bonnie who was great. I spent 20 years standing on concrete and my feet hurt. I found my first comfortable sandals ever. Another gentleman was there with terrible foot pain and had been referred by a doctor. I will be a regular customer. Check them out. read more

With every step I took I had tears. The pain was unbearable due to an ankle rollover. After seeing advertisements on TV for Good Feet I made an appointment and got inserts for my shoes for 300 dollars. Any Walmart and Walmart employee could have done just as much for me as Good Feet did at a fraction of the cost. Being a cancer survivor I wanted to continue with life and walk to stay healthy. After driving by Ralph Baker's Shoes, I decided I had nothing to lose. I called and had an appointment the next day. Ralph Baker Jr. made molds of my feet and had my inserts ready in 5 days. I still walk with tears in my eyes only now they are tears of joy. Being painfree is amazing and the price was much lower than Good Feet, plus I got shoes included. I will definitey go back to Ralph Baker's Shoes. The staff was friendly and courteous. I am very impressed and pleased with my results. read more
