We lost our beloved Pittie back in July and decided it was time for another fur baby, only this time we wanted to go with a Yorkshire Terrier. Paw Palace had the breed we were looking for and had a few pictures online, so we decided to make an appointment. The owners of Paw Palace were so easy to work with and were happy to answer all of our questions with no problem. As soon as we saw the Yorkie that we came to see, we immediately fell in love and took her home that day. Upon purchase, our fur baby already came with her first set of vaccinations, microchipped, AKC papers and about 2lbs of puppy food. The entire process was seamless and we couldn't be happier with our new baby. *Note: Make sure you make an appointment to see any of their animals! We made the mistake of just showing up, as we thought this business was set in a typical brick and mortar shop. The Paw Palace - Our little Zoë - Pet Breeders Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Please do not support puppy mills. This "business" sells over 50 "breeds" - many of which are designer mixes. "Hypoallergenic breeds" are just mixed breed poodle mixes. When breeding F1 puppies - the puppy gets one set of genes from each parent and the outcome can vary widely in a single litter in coat type, size and temperament. She is selling Merle Havapoos - neither Havanese or Poodle naturally carry the merle gene. They will try to say it's a recessive gene - it's not. Merle is introduced from another breed that naturally carries a Merle gene. When breeding for color, breeders will breed double Merle dogs which lead to health issues. Selling these mix breed dogs for $3,000 is crazy. This is how much I paid from an ethical purebred breeder who health tests all her dogs through OFA (which is the standard of health testing - and saying they are health tested by genetic testing or at the vet or through embark alone are sales tactics), offers free holter monitor testing for all her puppy buyers when puppies reach adulthood, embarks her puppies free of charge. Her dogs are proven through conformation titles and sport titles. I can meet the parents of my dogs (and have). I can look at our breed registry and track my dogs lineage. Most importantly my dogs didn't come from a mill. This business brags that she gets her puppies from "trusted USDA-licensed breeders" which simply means she's sourcing puppies from breeders who sell puppies site unseen, sell puppies to pet stores and who have a large quantity of breeding females. USDA standards are minimum care standards, not quality standards. They can have dozens or hundreds of dogs, breed frequently and keep dogs in kennel buildings and still pass USDA inspection. Many puppy mills are USDA licensed. Ethical breeders do not sell their puppies to pet stores. They want to vet their potential puppy buyers and make sure their dogs are going to homes that are a good fit. No ethical breeders breed doodles. It goes against the breed club for Poodles. No good breeder would allow their high quality poodle stock or the breed being mixed in, to make doodle mixes. This means that these parent dogs are being sourced from unethical breeders as well and it's poor breeding stock being used. Then, OFA health testing is not being done on these dogs. So people are mixing a lot of unknown genetics in for profit. They are not breeding with structure, health and temperament in mind. Ask about OFA health testing on both parents - they should be able to provide results on the OFA website from both parents. OFA has different tests for different breeds - please research what each breed should be tested for and request to see those results. Doodles should have tests for both breeds. Ask about registration - all dogs should be AKC registered if they are a purebred dog. Doodle registration is meaningless and anything other than UKC or AKC registration is a sales tactic. AKC registration alone does not equal quality. It just verifies pedigree eligibility. I would not consider a purebred dog that could not be registered through AKC, but just because they are AKC registered does not mean they are ethically produced. There are "designer registries" like: Continental Kennel Club (CKC -- not the Canadian one), American Canine Hybrid Club, Various doodle association. These registries do not enforce strict breeding standards, do not require meaningful health testing and mainly exist to create paperwork for marketing. Ask to meet the mother of the puppy you're interested in. Ask about tittles on the parents of the dogs that were bred. Ask about how many litters the mom has had. read more

No extremely pleased with the delivery, but we did hav the puppy sent from one corner of our nation to the other. I guess a smelly pup with fleas is no so bad. The owner is completely unprofessional, we called to ask a few questions regarding the health and authenticity of the puppies being sold, and she went on an angry rant regarding her professionalism and her reputation. It was a truly strange experience. She is not customer service oriented, and became strangely defensive when we asked about getting a second opinion from a veterinarian. After several weeks of research, we got our little pup, Steve, from Karie at the Paw Palace. He's the sweetest pup EVER and we are thrilled to death with him. The entire experience was pleasant and enjoyable. A vet visit the next day declared our little guy to be in excellent health with a near perfect score across the board. He has been using his pee pad 100% of the time with zero accidents which is basically awesome! No whining, no crying, no barking. Just a very contented, sweet puppy who is happy to be in his little area unless he's being played with or held. I purchased a puppy from Paw Palace 8 days ago. I was excited to get him. The next day (Sunday) he began having loose green- yellow stools and threw up twice. The next day was Sunday and I couldn't find a clinic that would see him on such short notice. The next day I took him to an emergency clinic. They couldn't obtain a stool sample as he wasn't eating much. They sent him home with medication. I informed Karie who denied he was sick when she sold him to me. Then I took him on Tuesday to another clinic and brought a stool sample. It came back with a parasite called Giardia. Again I emailed Paw Palace. Again they denied he'd been sick. 3 days ago he began choking and coughing. Today he began coughing up large quantities of yellow, thick mucus. When I asked to return him for a refund, they denied me and warned me against writing this review. I am so scared that this puppy will get sicker and die. If any pet qualified for the Pet Lemon Law this one does. read more

I was sold a sick Yorkie puppy. Owner takes 0 responsibility and has no customer service. I would not recommend anyone to buy puppies from this place. First of all, I paid 3200 for my puppy and 550 to get my puppy shipped by plane to Washington Dc. After I paid, Owner tells me she can not find any flights and she will ship it by ground and it would take a week. I did not feel right about a 12 week puppy being delivered by ground across the country so I decided to fly to AZ to pick her up. I was refunded 450 for shipping since I was picking up. I talked to the owner multiple times and she never informed me the puppy had prior surgery. The owner met me at the Tucson Airport handed me the puppy and paperwork and withheld information regarding the dog's hernia surgery prior of purchase. I should have been advise of this before purchasing the dog and flying across the country to get her. This is an unethical way of conducting a business. When i confronted her about it she was extremely rude and not apologetic saying hernia surgery was no big deal. Again, this should of been told to me before purchase. I made her appointment to the vet the week I got home from AZ because the puppy kept itching biting her bottom, has runny nose and coughing choking sounds. The doctors took a fecal sample and told me she has Giardia. When I told the owner of this health issue she blamed it on me. My puppy has not been with any other dogs since she doesn't have all her shots yet. I have had my puppy 2 weeks and she has had 3 vet visits. I will be seeing a specialist about her chocking sound. I have now spent thousands hoping my baby will be better and she is still sick. I have all the documentation to prove this. Again, I contacted the owner and she was extremely rude and blaming her sickness on me. I have owned two Yorkies and had them for 14 years. I know how to take care of dogs. I love my new puppy I just wish she was healthy. I had a very bad experience with this business and I wish I had never purchased my dog from them. They take 0 responsibility!! read more

We bought our little Lhasa 3 weeks ago. I was a little surprised at the price I was not expecting to pay as much as I did but I am completely happy with my purchase. Our little girl brings so much joy into the house. I have had several small dogs but she definitely is one of the happiest dogs I have ever had. Karie was great to work with. DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you buy from here. Their ad "no scams here" should be your first warning. Why does a legitimate place have to start their ad with those words?? I saw their ad on Puppyfinder, but come to find out they also advertise on craigslist and never state the are a pet store without the store. They are a home based pet store. They buy many of their puppies from out of state breeders, one of which was fined as a puppy mill breeder. I got my puppy on Tuesday, didn't take to their vet, but to my own on Friday. I collected a stool sample on Thursday and refrigerated overnight and gave to vet on Friday. By Saturday, my pup started getting diarrhea and by Sunday morning had a quite bloody stool. I took to him ER that morning as he is only 4 lbs and can get dehydrated very quickly. The lab results had come in and he had giardia and coccida, both of which have incubation periods of 1 to 3 weeks, not two days. I asked them to cover the ER visit only no medications. My vet advised me to sterilize my house, dog beds, give the dog a bath as this is very contagious. This put my other dogs at risk. The Pet Palace accused my vet of being dishonest and would not reimburse me for the ER visit. They accused me of letting the puppy eat bird poop and getting sick in two days. I have another puppy who has never been sick a day and my other dogs all came to me as puppies and I have never had any puppy or dog get either of these parasites. The Pet Palace is nothing but a local front for out of state breeders. They are unethical to accuse me of making my puppy sick and accusing my vet of being dishonest. Don't be fooled their dogs are transported in from breeders in Kansas. Don't buy from them or if you do, consider it a rescue. That's what I feel about my puppy. I rescued him. read more

But Puppy Mill puppy..!!!!! Puppy Mills are registered with USDA::: news clip::Such facilities she said have been termed by some as "puppy mills," which breed dogs for profit in subpar conditions to produce healthy animals and with lax regulations from the USDA.:: look it up! In addition the ADA papers are not AKC therefore the strandards are not the same. ADA means they came from a large facility breeder. Including they do chip and provide the 1st set of shots in order to meet FFA requirements to fly animals. This particular puppy was not diagnosed with a health issue, yet. Where do you find so many different Breeds so quickly ? As I was informed by you, you work with Many breeders. If adopting a pet from you makes people happy, so be it. However your supporting the Dog inhumane lifestyle. How are we so sure the pictures provided and the conditons of the parents are not false? We don't, where are the videos or photos of when they were just a few days old? It's ok, I just adopted a rescue, and know I did the right thing. Unethical is not in my home.
