I'm on a pasta high right now. The last time I remember having pasta where I felt it's another level was during a trip to Venice. Who knew fresh pasta was so different from the dried, boxed ones. ‍ We got one pound (2 bags) of pappardelle and one pound of spinach (linguine?). They're $5.95 per lb. The one pound of pappardelle was actually enough for our lunch (2 adults, a 7 year old and a toddler). Boiled it and then tossed with some butter and a bit of marinara then topped with Parmesan. So good, we're planning to grab some more tomorrow to take home. Oh! The two gentlemen at the store were very friendly and helpful. read more

The customer service is amazing in this place. Isidro and Noe are super friendly, very helpful and informative about their pasta and sauces. I brought home the lemon and pepper pasta last night and made a lemon chicken pasta dish, one that I've made a dozen times with regular pasta, but this is the first time I've used their lemon pepper pasta. So glad I found out about this spot on Yelp! We located it easily just past the Tree House Cafe and luckily had cash on hand just for this. We love bringing home treats from Carmel to keep our vacation indulgence going. ;) We were greeted by a very nice man that went over the pasta options. We opted for spaghetti so our kids could also enjoy. We bought the accompanying marinara and so glad we did because it is far better than any store bought, and completed the special meal. The staff makes the cooking experience so easy by writing strait on the package how long to boil each one. We also purchased the green 4 cheese spinach ravioli. This was amazing!!! It was a great treat for my in-laws as well because we cooked for them, and it did not disappoint. The homemade quality is very apparent because it tastes much softer than the store bought items. We will be stopping by every trip out of Carmel from now on. Thank you Pasta Palate for providing such an affordable, easy, delicious culinary experience for home. read more

Saw the reviews of this place and wanted fresh pasta at a cheap price point. Was strolling through Carmel by the Sea and finally found this place tucked again. They literally just make fresh pasta and sauces in the unassuming, old-fashioned way. The employee was beyond friendly and walked me through their offerings for the day. After some thought, I purchased: mushroom ravioli, artichoke ravioli, garlic Fettucine, and pesto I think it ended up being around $22 for everything. This was a great find. On a side street near downtown and hidden in a small shopping and office complex. They sell frozen raviolis, fresh pasta and sauces for you to take home and make a meal. The raviolis and sauce were fantastic. Bring your cooler for the drive home. read more

I visited the Pasta Palate on a girls trip to Carmel. Since we were on a budget and most restaurants in Carmel are very pricey, we decided to purchase some pasta from the Pasta Palate, and we were so glad that we did! We were greeted immediately upon entering, and were given recommendations. We bought the goat cheese sundried tomato ravioli, lemon pepper noodles, and pesto per recommendation. All 3 items came out to $22 total. Everything was SO good! There's nothing quite like fresh pasta, and this place was FRESH! It is a great alternative to eating out if you have a kitchen to cook at in Carmel. I highly recommend stopping by! I'm going to be stopping by on my way home and bringing some back. Yum!! read more

AMAZING place! It has some of the best pasta I have ever tasted. Outside Italy of course ;) We always have the pesto in the freezer and use it on EVERYTHING not just pasta! I made this amazing Blue Apron recipe at my house and wanted to re-create it in Carmel with my friends. Fresh pasta is a must and I needed to find the most gourmet place to buy it.. enter Pasta Palate!!! I hear they supply all the fancy restaurants with pasta and the setup does look very professional. I bought 2 bunches of fresh basil and garlic fettuccine and it was amazing. Everyone thought I was a great cook but really, it was the pasta. So I will take credit for being smart. LOL IMPORTANT: they only take cash. Also, it was hard to find. Google maps takes you about a block away so you may need to ask around like we did. Found this place by chance when parking right in front of their shop to run over to Scheid's newest tasting room. I was floored to see this awesome little pasta factory which sells frozen raviolis (delicious flavors) to the public as well as to several local restaurants. WOW the best fresh pasta I ever tasted! I was given squash raviolis and zucchini raviolis by the owners daughter who I work with as a friendly gift not to mention she also was so generous to include fettuccine noodles the noodles and raviolis were so delicious!! Surprise. This is the source of a lot of pasta served in Carmel, Momterey and other areas nearby. We were told to check this place out for wonderful angel hair pasta. They make it on site. They will even make variations for you if you call ahead or are willing to wait. I usually get a few pounds of lemon angel hair. It freezes just fine for future use. They have lots of other pasta from fettuccine to several types of ravioli. Stop by and peruse the selection. It is out of this world. Not kidding. Cash only so be prepared. read more

Best local pasta, they supply upscale peninsula restaurants. Little shop tucked back in a courtyard where you can buy your own to cook at home. Super fresh pastas and frozen raviolis made onsite with wholesome ingredients. We love the butternut squash ravioli. I whip up a simple brown butter sage sauce and the whole family is happy. No debit cards so bring cash or a check (not sure if it has to be local). Quality product, friendly service from the owner and our money stays in the community. It's a win-win-win. read more
