My husband and I went to The Pasta House for dinner on Saturday night. We were seated right away and got taken care of by a very nice girl! I ordered the eggplant parmigano and a house salad. All of my food tasted amazing. We will definitely be coming back here soon!

Surprised I haven't reviewed Pasta House before now. Has it really been over four years--the time I've been on Yelp!--since I visited The Pasta House? After today's visit it may be another lengthy wait before returning. There wasn't much wrong with our visit, but there wasn't much recommending it either. There are a lot of dining options in O'Fallon and this visit just didn't stand out. We were greeted immediately but mistook the hostess' mumbled "follow me" for"just a moment." So, we were left standing until she waved us over from across the room. Communication with our sever was off also. We weren't quite following each other. It could have been me. It could have been her. Or both of us. However, our orders came correctly and quickly. All we wanted were salads. The house salad we remember as something special seemed less so--as if it were missing the ingredient that would have made it sparkle. The Caesar salad was a similar "meh;" although our server did take a moment to confirm ordered chicken was on it. Later, I had to track her down for Parmesan since she delivered our meals and didn't return. There was confusion with the gift card, which had an amount that exceeded our two meals. I wanted to apply the balance as part of the server's tip and add cash to that. I'm not sure she understood because she was focused on adding a dessert or side to use up the balance. Eventually, I left her the card plus a full tip in cash. I think she still failed to recognize either amount represented a standard tip and the combined figures added up to well over a generous tip.

The manager was super nice and got me my free birthday pasta and cheese cake Togo. Quick and sweet service. Kinda quiet their for lunch but no biggy for me I was in and out fast.

Stopped by on a gorgeous evening to sit on their patio and have dinner. They were pretty dead on a weeknight. We sat down and ordered- I got the chicken flamingo unbreaded with broccoli- this also comes with a salad and fresh rolls. My boyfriend got the chicken parm with pasta with red sauce. The rolls were fresh and delicious and the salad was perfect as always. The food came out quickly and was done perfectly. Service was also really great. We even texted a number for a free order of cheesy garlic bread and it was delicious. Had no issues reminding our waitress to take it off our bill either which seems to always be an issue at restaurants. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and the food timeliness. Had a great time and will definitely be back. Food Taste - 9/10 Food Value - 9/10 Service- 10/10

Chicken liver linguine was on point. Service was decent. Salad was perfect. I talked to the manager and he told me Brandon was the cook who made my food. Just a shout out to Brandon - my food made me smile. Nice work - and perfect amount of garlic in that dish.

Pretty surprised to see so many 1 star ratings here. Thankfully, I disagree. Stopped by during the lunch hour and we were promptly seated. Their lunch menu has a great variety of options and reasonably priced. Excited to see the offer for a free garlic cheese bread if you opt in for text coupons...well, yes I will. I've been a longtime fan of Pasta House, but I don't visit very often. The rolls came out hot and fresh, melted the butter easily. Full order of the free cheese garlic bread and it did not disappoint. I opted for the lunch size (2 piece) Cannelloni and my friend got the lasagna, which more appeared to be the dinner size. All the flavors were great, everything was fresh and hot. Why the 3 stars you ask? Well, because it's Pasta House, it's a chain and for me that's a solid 3.5, but there's no .5 on the rating scale. At any rate, I'd come again.

I eat at various Pasta House locations all over St Louis pretty regularly. I met my O'Fallon friend for a quick Sunday lunch at this location which I had never been to before. At midday there were only about 2-3 tables occupied. When I walked in the servers and the manager were all congregated around a dining table in the dining room. I ended up ordering the Rigatoni Roma lunch special with no mushrooms. The salad was cool crisp and fresh. It was an excellent version of Pasta House salad. My pasta was kind of a hot mess. The rigatoni was over cooked. The sauce was thin and watery. I don't generally complain or send food back so I just kind of sat there. It's unfortunate the food was this bad when they weren't busy. I can't imagine what it would be like if they were actually busy.

Pros: * Huge portions - specifically the special on Mondays: All You Can Eat * Warm bread - nothing special, but crisp on the outside and warm on the inside, served with real butter (or margarine, if you prefer) * I asked for my salad dressing on the side and got a whole bottle of Pasta House Italian Dressing with it, instead of just a little cup Cons: * Overcooked pasta - a huge no, no in my book * Super s-l-o-w food delivery * Sweet red sauce - not my personal favorite, though some people prefer it to a saltier concoction * Mom's salad, pre-dressed, seemed a bit overdressed and kind of soggy; made super early in the day and sitting around for a while was my guess * I had to ask three times to get the music lowered: we were RIGHT under a speaker. I love the 80s, but wowza. I asked our server twice, then waited about five minutes after the second time and finally, just walked up to the manager after not hearing any difference. It was then resolved immediately. I know that will come across as minor and nit-picky to some, but it's thoroughly annoying when you have to talk loudly over it. There was only one section open and there were about 10 tables with about two people each. So, not too full for it to be that loud, imho. I'm in my early 40s, btw. It's not like I don't like listening to 80s tunes cranked up sometimes, but, ya know, not during lunch with my mom! It reminds me of those trendy clothing stores with the pulsating music spilling out, the ones that make you feel like you're walking in to a club, versus going in to try on some jeans... But I digress. The place was neat and clean. We were greeted and seated by the manager right away. Our server was pleasant, but it seemed she may have been a bit overwhelmed when we first got there. The drinks came quickly, but getting used plates, napkins, etc. off the table wasn't her first priority. We moved them to the edge, as is the typical pick-up signal, but she came and left the table a few times before taking them to the kitchen. They may have been down a busser? Either way, overall, it wasn't terrible, but it was nothing to write home about. I wouldn't likely go again.

    Food with piece of metal.

There's both tables and booths along the walls. If you're in a larger party I def recommend calling ahead. We've had cocktails here, chicken parm sandwich, grilled chicken panino sandwich, fratellis salad, chicken Alfredo, tutto mare, spaghetti, the al formaggio, and the affogato. Everything has been delicious, fresh, and hot! The only complaint I'd make is that although it says panini for sandwiches they aren't the traditional paninis that are pressed & grilled but instead are just sandwiches so that was disappointing to find out after the fact. The staff are so friendly and attentive we hadn't been for almost 2 months and our waitress still remembered us & what I usually order. I love getting the al formaggio but instead of ravioli I get fettuccine, I love being able to have a portion of all 3 yummy sauces they have. Overall a great restaurant! I love that it's family owned, fresh ingredients, and a lot of stuff made from scratch (complimentary bread is yummy). My only true complaint would be that they don't sell that creamy Italian dressing by the bottle, would totally buy it all the time it's so yummy! Anytime we're in the area we'll be stopping by.

We came in on a Monday night, and the restaurant was rather busy, even for it being after 7pm. We were seated promptly by the window. The decor in the place is rather plain and, well, dated, but I'll never be picky about what a place looks like in the regard. Is it clean? Yes! Anyway, we had an opportunity to browse the menu before our waiter made it to our table. Mind you, it was a busy place and he was the only waiter, as far as I could figure out, so we were totally fine with a delay. We ordered an appetizer, mozzarella sticks, and we both ordered manicotti, one with red sauce and one with red/white sauce. I also ordered a side salad to try out their house dressing. Our appetizer came out fairly quickly, along with bread and butter. Both were great! I wished the mozzarella sticks were a bit warmer, but that's just me being picky. It wasn't cold by any means. Our manicotti came out pretty quickly. The presentation was very boring and plain: it was served on a plate, not a baking dish like many other places. However, the flavor? On point! It was sooo good. The pasta specifically tasted very fresh and was almost crepe-like in texture. Seriously tasty. The sauces were equally fantastic and not bland or boring at all. We wanted dessert, but we were so full! Next time we are totally doing dessert because I'm all about some tiramisu. It was a great meal and we will definitely be back. Don't sleep on this place and don't judge it based on the outside (a strip mall) or the decor. It's excellent!

Our waitress told us that when the new owners took over they were able to buy some of the original recipes so people still come in for things they used to enjoy from the Madison's ownership. At our last visit we ordered the following: large combination salad to share amongst three people, fettuccini Alfredo, rigatoni carbonara and the beef mudega. The beef mudega came with soup which was ratatouille. For dessert we ordered the turtle cheesecake. Everything was great especially the salad (they're known for their salads) and the carbonara except for the beef mudega. It was not prepared the usual way that I am accustomed to so it tasted very off in my opinion. I could not bring myself to finish it, but I was fairly full from the salad anyhow. I just know not to order that again. I ate some of my spouses rigatoni carbonara and it was delicious. One of the few places left that actually tries to prepare carbonara with more costly ingredients than bacon bits. LOL The ratatouille was okay but not great. It takes a special skill to make great ratatouille so I'm not judging the whole place on one soup. The turtle cheesecake was wonderful but I will warn you it has a lot of caramel on it if that's not your thing, I wouldn't order it. The first time was a great impression. My fiancé at the time ordered a margarita pizza which was delicious. I ordered a garganelli pasta with some sort of red sauce and beef. It left a lasting impression that made us want to come back for more! The impression was so lasting that I made a reservation for my bachelorette dinner to be here but the pizza I ordered fell very short. I think I ate once slice and left everyone else eat it. We got about 3 different other pizzas and they were just okay. The arancini was good and the blue crab pasta was really good and I was like okay I'll order that next time. It was also to celebrate my birthday and they brought out this dessert and the clove flavoring was so bold I spit it out. It was actually not good at all. I felt bad because they gave it to me for free so I just said I was way too full to finish. (First two visits food pics were on my previous phone so I do not have those any longer!) The third visit, I ordered the blue crab pasta and for the price there was barely anything in the bowl for one, but there were also these small chunks of lemon in it and I could not see it so I bit into it with the peel and it was so sour that it just ruined it for me. Ordered the arancini again but there wasn't enough sauce. The burrata was good though. I feel like I can't catch a break lol The last time I went (last night) we rock paper scissored between the shrimp toast and burrata. Shrimp toast won and I had really great shrimp toast from Indo so this fell flat and then I ordered the garganelli with kale and sunflower seeds and it really wasn't anything great and I've come to realize that this place is overrated and I really think it's psychological because there only open certain days of the week and they're so booked out so it MUST be fantastic, but it's just.. good. That's probably the last time I'll go. I feel a lot better spending my money at Katie's. It's more of a 2.5 star rating but I can't do halves and 2 seems like I hated the place but I didn't. It just really fell short the last 3 visits when other places are just so consistent with quality, Noto has been consistent with disappointment. Hot take, I know from other reviews, so take what you will. Other notes * it's pretty loud so prepare to speak up * very small waiting area - more like an aisle really and an outdoor four person space deck with a door leading to a ramp * even if you make a reservation, the exact time isn't guaranteed until the party before you leaves and they don't rush customers (good if you're the one dining, not so good if you're waiting -- had to wait the night of my bachelorette * no tiramisu a tragedy really * dim lighting so very romantic / love the aesthetic * though it's listed as classy, I've seen men wearing cargo shorts, people wear sweats... disrespectful in my opinion but no strict dress code
