We have two rescue pups, one who is just timid and one who is a handful to say the least so it has been difficult to find a groomer who is able to meet our needs. This place is relatively new to my area and recommended by my vet. I have a Barbet which is not a common dog but is the ancestor to the poodle and the "water dogs" you hear about. Having a less common breed I came prepared with what I was looking for in the cut but figured my first visit might be a learning curve for everyone. My how I was surprised! The proprietor James is super great with dogs! They already had a couple dogs get trimmed and things seemed to be running like a well oiled machine. I made an appointment a week before, I got a courtesy reminder the day before and they were ready for me when I arrived. Theirs a yelp coupon for first time customers too! I showed the owner the pictures I brought, he was friendly and courteous and talked to me about what they would do to make my dog look beautiful. 2 hours later they were just finishing up and I could tell it was a great experience for my puppy. She was all trimmed up, with clean ears and a wagging tail. As I was leaving some other dogs were on their way in for their appointment. Clearly a popular place and people seem to like the experience. I didn't give five stars because i wanted to leave room for my next couple visits when they do more than trimming her legs, face and butt. I'll make an updated review then and hope to give that last allusiveHowever, so far I would recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a friendly competent groomer. This is one of the best services I have used or seen in a very long time. James the owner was very polite and you can tell he is caring about others dogs. Jessica was great too, what a great team they make. They took great care of my dogs. I have a 10 year old Pit Bull who has arthritis, they were great with him, so gentle and very understanding. I also have a one year old American Cocker Spaniel, the cut was on point. As a Pit owner I am always worried they will judge him on his breed, nope not them. They treated him like a prince and were gentle. I greatly appreciate how gentle and kind they were to my old boy. The Cocker cut was on point, he looks ready for a show. Staff here is highly unprofessional and was completely unprepared despite an appointment over 3 weeks in advance. We all know life happens and unforeseen things like a "sick" call change the situation. BUT without making an honest effort to contact the customer, much less a recovery plan is unacceptable. The solution offered was to rebook 8 WEEKS later?!? Treating me like an inconvenience rather than a customer is horrible service. I have no problem telling you who I am. I think it's amazing that you cannot fathom that your shop could possibly get a negative review. I would have never left a review if it wasn't for the fact that whomever groomed my dog cut my dog in multiple places. I didn't call because if I did, I wouldn't have been nice, as seeing my dog cut in multiple places, where blood had clotted, left me a bit upset but if you would like me to call you, I would be more than happy to. This place is not a place someone should take their animal and I think it is very condescending that you speak to everyone who leaves a negative review as if they're not real people. You know exactly who I am, as I have left the same exactly review, under my name, on Facebook. Please do not act like you're surprised and please do not speak to me like I made up a profile solely to give you a bad review, you were given a bad review because you hurt my dog.
