The group conversations are relaxing, and very comfortable. You get to know real life situations with real live people, and you can also feel comfortable expressing yourself with professionals who can help. They work with your case. So there's not much of a worry if your going. These counselors care about your choices. The counselors there are patient, and understanding. They are at their best when you begin until you've finished your full amount of sessions. They don't work with you personally; the sessions are in groups. The classes are convenient, and the activities are group oriented. I chose the Safety Alliance personally, because it was cheap, and the money was worth the spending for the sessions they offer. But the sessions made me wish it was free. I'd recommend this group for people whom are local, or who might want to travel; the classes are two hours. The counselors taught me how to be more responsible with a better approach, if a situation was to difficult. This group can and will help, and they are strict on confidentiality. That I found more comfortable for me, and I was dedicated to completing my sessions. They're are rules as any other place would have, so getting out of line wouldn't be option. Why would you want to waist your money to act out anyway. If you haven't chose a counseling group already, try this one. They also have parenting classes, followed by there domestic violence groups. They even segregate the groups by gender. Great for group sessions on sexism. Anything else you might want to know, they have a board of information on your way out the door. Check their website for more info.

When searching for BIP classes look no further!…read more As someone who wasn't looking forward to talking these classes Mike at Valley Anger Management not only makes the classes enjoyable but he cares about imparting knowledge to his students & giving the class the necessary tools to make each of us better prepared for the challenges life brings their way. Mike's smaller classes fosters a place you feel more comfortable to speak up and have your opinions heard while still having thoughtful discussions on relatable topics to our individual situations. Jordi O reviewer said it best: "IF you leave your EGO out the door, listen and speak sincerely, here you will learn to change for the better, which will improve your life (and protect you). I recommend it to ANYONE, as you will leave being more honest (and compassionate) with yourself, which is healing." If you are serious about reflecting on past mistakes in an effort to grow, Mike & Valley Anger Management is the place to go.

What I did like was that he was structured but will get hella mad for anything............. Also, he doesn't communicate well with other therapists, a therapist of mine that I had at the time bc I was seeing a therapist and taking anger management classes did NOT have successful communication for the first time I tried transferring. He also mentioned his frustrations that day I had class too in front of everyone I don't know how one should learn if this counselor doesn't practice his own ways. I can definitely say he's a character lol

I wanted to enroll my daughter in a dance class because she always dances & sings to Disney songs…read moreI looked up dance classes nearby but somehow I came across this one & ironically they have a princess academy where they learn to tumble & dance to Disney songs as well ! She started last year perhaps around august & did her first recital in January . The staff is super friendly ! Ms Parker is an absolute doll the way she teaches the children especially my daughter who is very shy & not as experienced ! My daughter loves every class & it's been an amazing experience for her !

Two months into their program--after a cast list had already been posted--they attempted to collect additional payments from already-enrolled families, despite there being no prior contract or communication outlining these supposed fees. They also demanded that students come up with their own costumes, and even threatened to pull kids from the production if payments weren't made. Anyone with even basic theater experience knows that threatening to remove children from a show two months into rehearsals is outrageous and unacceptable. Everything--fees, responsibilities, schedules--should be communicated clearly in writing upfront, not sprung on families halfway through. They added extra rehearsals last minute and tried to charge for those too. After enough parents complained, they finally took over the costume responsibilities. But again, none of these requirements were mentioned at sign-up. While we're incredibly grateful for the teacher (who was absolutely wonderful), the owner and office staff were completely disorganized, unprofessional, and frankly, rude.Mothers were berated for wanting to sit in on their young children (ages 6+ and up), being mic'd under their clothing and were screamed at for wanting to monitor that because it was "closed rehearsals" It gets worse. After deciding we'd never return due to the awful experience, we noticed a charge for another session we never signed up for. When we kindly reached out to have it removed, we were told that "Musical Theater" was now considered a year-round commitment, even though: * That was never communicated. * Our child hadn't attended in months. Did they call to check on our child's absence? Nope. They just charged us. In this economy. Don't be fooled by their polished social media. Behind the scenes, it's just smoke and mirrors. On one performance day, they called the cast for a 3:30 arrival time--and no adult staff showed up until 5:15.Fourteen children were left under the supervision of just two volunteer moms, and the office admitted they "forgot to call" the rest of us to let us know that no one would be in attendance, nor that they needed help. Just kids expected to be left alone. Left to run their own warmups and choreography. So not only are they charging families absurd fees without consent, but they are also putting children's safety at risk while being paid to not even show up. It reeks of: "I want to run a children's theater company but have zero idea how one is supposed to be run--and I'm counting on you not knowing either." Spoiler alert: I was raised in one of the top youth theaters in the country. This ain't it. Just chaos.Chaos, dishonesty, and a complete disregard for families. PATRONS BEWARE.

Tender Bees Doula Services - So glad we had Cali at our birth!

After…read moresome research, I found that there weren't any classes locally offered to new moms, other than at Henry Mayo Hospital. And of course, their classes were only offered once a month. Unfortunately, they didn't work with my schedule. My main concern being a new mom was breastfeeding. I went online and tried finding a doula who would offer me a private class. Alas, I found Cali. What immediately impressed me was how quick she responded to my intro email. She was open to come over to my house, teach me the basics about breastfeeding and offer her advice postpartum. Cali was helpful, professional, and caring. Having my first baby with Cali's support made the experience that much better. So glad I found Cali!

It wasn't long until we felt very overwhelmed by all the decisions and challenges that faced us. One of our friends recommended that we hire a doula to help us with the process... and so the search began. We met with a few different doulas, however as soon as we met Cali, we knew she was the perfect fit for our growing family. We felt very comfortable with her, she was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, and her beliefs aligned with ours about the ideal birth. In addition, she offered us private parenting classes since our schedules were always conflicting with the hospital's classes we were interested in taking. In all of our meetings before the birth, Cali came prepared and ready to work. However, I always felt like I was meeting with a good friend. When my water broke 1 month early, Cali dropped everything to be at my side (even though it was her birthday!!) She even came to our house first to help pack for the hospital, keep me calm until my husband got home from work, and even installed our car seat (since we were so unprepared for such an early arrival!) I was a little unsure that I was going to be able to follow the birth plan we had put together, to keep things all natural, with no medical intervention, but with Cali's help, I was! She was calm and encouraging through my entire labor, and provided support for my husband as he coached me through a successful, all natural birth. We could not be more grateful. After the birth, Cali constantly checked in on us, and offered advice and help when we were having some difficulties with breast-feeding during her postpartum visit. We are so thankful that we can look back on our labor in a positive light, and we have Cali to thank for that. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a Doula.

Because of this LVN program I was able to use it as a stepping stone and got into an RN program with a concurrent BSN partnership. I've used all my skills and notes that I've learned in the LVN program and my current RN program has been a breeze thanks to how much the LVN program prepared me. I'm honestly going to be forever grateful. I love how affordable this program was and how it was not a financial burden on me compared to other programs. A lot of people are hesitant of continuing on their education due to the lack of money (this should not be a factor on who gets an education and who doesn't) but this is a great program to open doors to many of us including myself to change our lives for the better !!! I passed my NCLEX 1st try and got an amazing job that I love all thanks to the amazing teachers that made up the LVN program.

I took the orientation class a few months prior, and the staff is very kind and welcoming. The students are also just as friendly, and you get to know them and socialize a lot in class. They recently brought back the pharmacy technician program, and have a bunch of other trades. I like how it's connected to other schools in the area under LAUSD. So far, it's been a very positive experience, and can't wait to be an official student.
