I love all the unique finds in this store ! But what I especially love is that my first time in here Jaxson went above and beyond to make me feel so welcome to always come back and receive the same awesome customer service! This was my third time in the store today and I was filled with good energy between Jaxson and (I believe the very helpful woman's name was..) Beth!!!? She's got some fabulous energy .. a doer!!! My second time here I'll be completely honest ... the checkout wasn't as helpful ... it just seemed as get me in and out ... and I missed Jaxson's energy from my first visit that I mentioned to them how it was my second time in and "where's the nice young man who helped me last time" ... all the workers adored him when I mentioned him. And being around the service industry for years , some people just have that energy that draws u to want to go back!! Jaxson has got that and I'm sure he will be very successful in life always!!! Love feeling welcomed and not judged where I go .. as the first time I went in I did feel a sense of being followed for stealing ... maybe it was my paranoia but I had a big homeless looking jacket on ... my hair was a mess ... I honestly hadn't showered that day ... and I felt so uncomfortable showing up until... JAXSON!! Keep up your good energy kid!! U can change a lot of peoples day!!! I went to the Swampscott store today and looked at all of the great merchandise available. However, as I was browsing, I came across a display that was shocking. It was Christmas socks that had VULGAR language on them. There were also kitchen oven mitts and pot holders with VULGAR language on them as well. They had paper coverings on them warning that you must be 18 yrs. old to view (lots of luck with that) and several of the covers were off (no surprise there). I was appalled to see that kind of junk in the Paper Store and quite frankly those displays were offensive. SHAME ON THE PAPER STORE!!!. I left disgusted and would have spoken to the manager but couldn't stay any longer. If and when I go back I will speak to the manager about this. I really like writing good reviews as it's much nicer to recognize good customer service and know that i can bring a smile to a someone who knows the difference between good customer service and poor service. I don't need much but i don't want to be treated as an irritant. The 2 employees at the Paper Store were so bad that I'm taking my time to post this. I went in looking for a specific item..ironically i wanted the Natural Life " kindness matters " car magnet. I went to the Natural life display and when i didn't see the magnet i asked the sales girl ( i didn't get her name) if they had Natural Life products anywhere else in the store. She sullenly said no and walked off. I looked around a bit and went to check out and found a NL display at the beginning of the check out line. A nice big one that you really couldn't miss. I did find the magnet i wanted and that was good. I get to check out.. the girl ( again, no name) and.. no hello, no acknowledgement of any kind. I told her what happened and received absolutely no reply whatsoever. I will go back tomorrow to get their names so as to include them in my letter to corporate but i think that at a time when people are looking for jobs the paper store could do much better than this. I wouldn't normally spend this much time on a customer service issue but the attitudes were really that bad. They represent the company and if it were my store I'd want to know. read more

What a nice store with a helpful staff. Actually had teo seperate employees come over and ask if they could help. Lots of sale items and great selection of cards for all occasions. They had a decent amount of Vera Bradley items, cased jewelry and great toys for kids of all ages. I am a huge fan of The Paper Store and this was a very nice one. read more

Very upset at The Paper Store. On 4/11 I ordered hand sanitizer since their website stated that it was in stock and could ship out quickly. Well it is now 4/25 and I have no hand sanitizer. There is a tracking number but it looks like UPS is waiting for shipment. It has been this way for 3 days now. Why would you advertise it's availability if you really can't get it. read more

To note, I'm not a regular Paper Store shopper, I have friends who do like this chain/chain-let and shop there regularly for gifts because they like to have everything all in one place/the convenience of it and the curated selections. This is a nice location of The Paper Store in the Vinnin Square plaza -- sort of like a gift department store of all things trendy. They have Vera Bradley, Kate Spade and Lily Pulitzer bags, accessories and stationary as well as a variety of other lines. There are several high end costume jewelry lines including Alex and Ani, Pandora and this new Angel line. There is a large Yankee Candle selection, a Hallmark section and a lot of different off beat gifts for all occasions as well candy/chocolate. Prices are quite high--this isn't discount shopping but if you have certain folks that like a certain brand(s) this could be one stop/or near it shopping and it is certainly a different experience than online because you can see true colors and see fabric, quality, etc. We only popped into take a look, did not buy anything but the staffer at the jewelry counter was nice/friendly chatting w/ my mum. read more

It's Christmas time and returns or exchanges should be cheerfully extended. The staff did not care that I received two separate gifts of the same item. All I wanted to do was exchange one of the scarves for one of the same but of another color so I could actually enjoy the gifts someone thoughtfully purchased for me. The bigger retail stores have no problem with accommodating this type of exchange. Customer satisfaction should be a concern at the Paper Store but it clearly isn't read more

Super cool store that has everything you could ever need. The staff is always there and very helpful in all of your needs. The store is always neat and tidy and most of the displays if not all change with every season. Once in a life time this is a must see place if you have kids. Personally though they need to hire more friendly staff who are interested in being there. Many staff seemed tired and fed up which is understandable if they do not like children but it's a toy store folks, get out of the way if you do not like children and find a new job. read more
