The owner Billy impressed me with his knowledge of his product lines and paint products in general. In my occasional dealings with the big box stores when buying paint, there were often questions they couldn't answer. However, at Venice Paints, Billy is very well-informed and would recommend alternative products if there was a better fit for the project as well as colour recommendations. He knows his stuff and his ability to match colours is almost mystical! He does this all with a smile and a friendly chat and his shop pup Scrappy is pretty dang cute too. Highly Recommended!

The last time I was there, I waited while the two employees finished talking to each other about personal things before even calling me up to the register to ring me up. It is also small, cramped and has no planner section, forcing me to not be able to grab any of the Joanne's only items. The open 2nd story balcony and jazzy music added to the ambiance. I highly recommend stopping by! This would be a great introduction to art for any age or anyone looking to have some hands on fun!
