This place had everything we needed for the urchins for Christmas. No dumb toys but brain development accessories. Hopping the kiddies will appreciate the gifts. read more

Cute little store. The guy at the cash register was very nice. At the time we visited there was some empty shelf space, but I read other reviews that say their shelves were full (so maybe awaiting shipment) read more

The store is a little bit on the small and crowded side but the store owner is a genuinely good dude and I was in a bit of a pinch. I came in looking for a specific, somewhat rare toy and he had what I needed. Super friendly guy and reasonable prices from what I saw. A kid would have a blast here. Parking can be tough but it's in the middle of downtown so this is somewhat to be expected. read more

How often do you find toy stores these days??? This place is so cute! It reminded me a little toy shop in an old tiny town in Colorado. The selection was awesome. Great quality toys, and all with an emphasis on learning. We just were in Sarasota for the day from St Pete and I want to come back when it is my son's birthday. Of course, I left with a couple goodies for him. The owner was delightful and I loved that they had Christian radio music playing too. I'm happily going to be a returning customer! read more

4 stars for cool selection. I'd rather give it 2 stars because the spacing is not ideal for people to enter and peruse toys. Get creative and make it flow more, Toy Lab. read more

We came to this store for my son to find a shark. He had vet specific criteria of how it should look like. He also has a condition which makes it even hard to go in and choose something. He very often gets overwhelmed and he forgets everything. The staff was so amazing and got down to his level. So incredibly nice and friendly. When my son told them he couldn't choose something they told him you don't have to buy something just because you are going to the toy store. After a long time he did find something he really likes a lot too but haven't found before a volcano! Thanks so much for this. He was so happy. Also as a parent I really appreciate a toy store that has knowledge about toys, a big variety of quality toys and good prices. Very friendly and helpful staff. I much more prefer a physical store than Amazon.. Next time we are in town we will definitely be back for a visit. Saturday July 17 read more

Big thank you to the Toy Lab for having such a great staff. Cyrus, saved the day. Running late for a birthday he pointed out a fun beach toy and wrapped it for us in a pinch. Can't wait to come back for our next gift purchase! read more

On our last day of vacation, we were looking for a store that sold toys for kids and interesting gifts. I opened up my nifty Yelp app and found Toy Lab just minutes from the restaurant where we were having lunch. This place has everything from cute toys to gag gifts. It's a must see if you are in Sarasota. I would love to return to see what else they have as we had very little time left before our flight that day. The store clerk was friendly and helpful in finding some gifts for us. read more

Very nice staff, a smaller store with a lot of selection, but expensive. I guess it has to be to survive in this location. The staff were very helpful helping me consider gifts for my daughter. The store has a good mix of educational toys, fun toys, stuffed animals, gender neutral items. It's within walking distance of the downtown hotels. Overall it's a nice store! read more

Wow this toy store has it all! Jellycat, Legos, baby toys, beach toys, die cast, gag gifts, I had no idea what a fun place this really was until I finally came in! This is a REAL toy store - one that feels cozy and quaint but classy and up to date. There's stuff from when I was a kid and stuff that I haven't seen since I was a kid and also high tech stuff. This will definitely become a regular place to visit. read more

A brilliant store for kid's toys! They usually have stuff I remembered from when I was a kid, and new stuff I have never seen before. I can never decide if I want to get something for my daughter, or her friend's birthday, or just get something cool for myself! Absolutely one of the best stores in Sarasota, it's almost a tourist attraction. The easiest 5-star review I've ever given on Yelp. read more

We love finding unique toy stores in the different cities we visit and this store did not disappoint!! My little guy is only 7 months old, so we only purchased a jelly cat stuffed animal (because who can resist). But this store had a wonderful selection of toys for all ages... great selection and the staff was so very helpful! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Sarasota! Don't gasp at the prices... supporting a local business is worth every penny!! read more

One of the coolest toy stores I've ever visited! Great selection for kids of all ages, and devoid of a lot of the mass produced cr*p you will find at the big box retailers. Among their vast selection---some really neat European toys that encourage creativity as opposed to Disneyesque group think. I asked them if they had a web site--they don't! So, next time you are in SRQ and are strolling down Main Street make a stop into the independently owned Toy Lab! I do believe they ship anywhere. read more

I love the toy lab. Before I moved to Florida, as a kid, I would insist on coming here and getting something. Their toys are so unique and different from most chain toy stores. If you want to get your kids something different than what most kids will get, go here. I promise you won't be disappointed with the amazing selection. I still go to Toy Lab on occasion to get some of my friends children a toy for Christmas or their birthday. read more
