Polina was great. Helpful when we asked for four shirts for my son. She pulled two different sizes off the shelves to hold up to him for sizing. We pick the better size then asked for two of each color. She grabbed all four, rung us up, we paid, then we went home. As I am getting them out of the store bag to wash, that is when I notice one of the four is for the wrong school. Oh just perfect. An exchange will have to wait as we are 40 minutes away. Then I meet Jacqueline. On the day of the return I explain that I just need the right school shirt, an easy fix. An honest mistake was made, but we can make this right within minutes. I am given a hard time, asking am I sure this was the location I got the shirts and did I not check them when I pulled them off the shelf. When I explained the staff member helped me. Stating that as she works here, she was looking through the shirts with me to find the right size and school, she is the one to grab the shirts so I did not question her choices. Jacqueline scoffs at me when I say this. My face must have said "excuse me", as that is when Jacqueline stated she wasn't giving me a hard time. Seriously? She was actively giving me a hard time. She started to become rude, more aggressive in her words and a shift in her stance, until she looked up and remembered that someone was setting up a table in front where the school shirts were and watching our interaction. All of a sudden she makes a comment about how I was not remembering my visit correctly with a fake laugh, but then stated since I just want to exchange the item she can do this for me. As if this was my fault, but out of the goodness of her heart she will help me out. Dishonest return policy. I was not told items were final sale at time of purchase, nor was it indicated on the receipt, but when I tried to return the shirts that's when the clerk said oh these are final sale, you should have been told - when I pointed out signage by shirts did not indicate final sale she doubled down on "you should have been told" but girl you sold me the shirts!! Then they lied to my credit card company when I disputed charges saying they clearly stated shirts were final sale. Now I see from other reviews I'm not the first victim of this kind of moving target return policy. Make dang sure your items are what you want and fit before you leave this store because there's a high likelihood if it's a uniform shirt specific to a school they will pull some nonsense on you when you try to return! read more

Terrible customers service and very unprofessional owner.... very unsafe environment for children

Terrible exchange policy. My son cut off his tags put the pants on and they were way to short, the pants that the people working there grabbed for him. He is 5'10 and they grabbed him the short length/inseam. After driving 30 minutes one way they would not exchange for the correct length because i didnt have the tags. I will be spreading the news and contating SMA. In this economy i cant afford to buy another 50 dollar pair of pants so my son will wear them and get teased all year. Thanks for nothing. Phenomenal place and a very versatile business. They have a lot of different things when you walk inrelated to work uniforms, postage / shipping and then a great section with a variety of chIldrens toys. The staff are super friendly and very helpful at picking out the right items based upon your child's age. In a world with Amazon and instant gratification, you might be able to save a dollar or two, but doo yourself a favor and visit this place with your kiddos and you won't be disappointed. Wow. My wife sent me here to get some clothes for my son for school and it was horrible. I forgot to write the review last week and was reminded is my experience after talking to another parent who was talking about how terrible this store is. After all the money we pay to our school, it's nonsense that we have to pay for overpriced low quality uniforms. They are under staffed here. I spent so much time in line and when I asked if there was another register I could by the mail desk, I was told no. They even told me to buy online next time. In the world of brick and mortar going away I was astonished at how they stayed open being so rude. But schools make us come here. They must get a cut out of the $35 I spent for each shirt. Staff is rude and doesn't care and then they line up the waiting side of the place with toys so my kids kept asking me for this and that the entire time! One of my kids isn't in school yet so it was a nightmare. I'm going to order online next time because I won't dare go in there again. The bottoms we got my son are being returned because they are hard as cardboard and he cried about wearing them. I told my school and thankfully they said we could get them from elsewhere as everyone hates the bottoms. If everyone hates them, why keep sending us back? My wife laughed at this when I told her. She took the time to ask about what I wanted to send and help me find the cheapest and most prompt way to ship my package. I own a business and they have made put my logo on anything I have asked them to put it on, from magnetic signs to t-shirts and hats 4. I have referred them to my clients and they always dotted the i's and crossed the t's, happy client, happy business owner 5. The staff is amazing 6. When I was lazy and didn't want to drive to the store , you can order everything on line from their website. 7. They have a post office in their store. Ship and send!! 8. promotional items are amazing......things you can even imagine , they imagine it and put your logo on it!!! 9. gifts for anyone, any age, and they are local and family owned, the big chains cant compete with what Children's World !! 10. Ridiculous! I called ahead of time to order and was told the dresses I wanted are not online. So I come into the store and they only have one color! So I ask where the others are they said they were out. They said I have to custom order the color I wanted and then proceeded to tell me if I was upset about waiting (I was waiting in a 45 minute line at this point), I could order online. I then say, why didn't they tell me this beforehand?! The lady then says it is under another category on the website and I was told wrong. I had to wait 15 minutes to make the custom order and then I had to wait in line again to buy it!!!!! Unbelievable I hate theat our school uses this store!!!! There are so many options online and in town. This store is backwards as hell, long lines and inefficient!!!! People wait forever to be told to go into another line! They aren't on the same page because I had to go into two lines to order. Not to mention the other people who were here complaining about other issues! I am complaining to the board and the PTA. Everyone talks about the lines here! They are making so much money off these uniforms! They could at least add registers and people who can do multiple things. read more

What a joke. Not only was this store filthy, it was extremely over-priced and was completely devoid of customer service. They were extremely unhelpful and rude. Since my last review there has been new employees hired and a change in the overall atmosphere of the shop. I felt it would be fair to update my review. Most of the employees are kind and helpful, every time you walk in the door. The post office has a high turn over rate, but the current worker does a great job. I no longer feel uncomfortable or pressured to buy something. I do buy a toy occasionally. The toys are great, unusual finds, and when compared to EBay the prices are usually the same. Both Business World and Children's World are in the same building as well as a US Post Office. I have frequented their location over the last 5 years. Children's World and Uniform Supply is a pretty interesting business. The school uniforms are top quality. I really like the selection of toys that were there. Many of the toys leaned toward education and science. I love science projects and so do my kids. Tim found a great deal on some promotional products for my business at a very competitive price. Very friendly and a great place for shipping services.

Recently visited family who lives in Sarasota. While there I came across this unique Children's Toy Store. It was hidden amongst a post office, school uniforms, boyscout supplies and much more all under one roof. The store was very clean, the staff knowledgeable about all aspects of the business. They even helped us buy a new Family favorite game called "Sketch It." Looking forward to visiting Sarasota and Children's World again. read more

How do you guys look yourselves in the mirror. I just bought a canvas belt, a white polo shirt and black shorts for 65 $ . Minus a 2 dollar embroidery job, I could have purchased the same stuff at a normal store for less than half the price. I guess when you are the only game in town then you can price gouge. Its like eating lunch at Disney. I am seriously considering opening my own store and charging reasonable prices. Lets see how strong you relationships are with the schools when the parents realize how much they can save. I understand you are in business to make money, but taking advantage is another thing. The black shorts I purchased with the tiny gold star ironed on for 25 $ sell for 8 $ at target. If I could give less than one star I would read more
